1 Operating Manual
1.1 General
Please read the information contained herein so that you can
become familiar with your device quickly and take advantage of
the full scope of its functions.
Your food processor will serve you for many years if you handle
it and care for it properly.
We wish you a lot of pleasure in using it!
1.2 Information on this manual
These Operating Instructions are a component of the food
processor (referred to hereafter as the Device) and provide you
with important information for the initial commissioning, safety,
intended use and care of the device.
The Operating Instructions must be available at all times at the
device. This Operating Manual must be read and applied by
every person who is instructed to work with the device:
! Commissioning
! Operation
! Troubleshooting and/or
! Cleaning
Keep the Operating Manual in a safe place and pass it on to the
subsequent owner along with the device.

2 Safety
This chapter provides you with important safety notices during
the initial commissioning of the device. Observe the following
notices to avoid dangers and damages:

! Packaging materials may not be used for playing. There is a
danger of suffocation.
Delivery scope and transport inspection
As a rule, the Designer multi grater is delivered with the
following components:
! Glass scale
! Operating Instructions
Please note
! Examine the shipment for its completeness and for any
visible damages.
! Immediately notify the carrier, the insurance and the supplier
about any incomplete shipment or damages as a result of
inadequate packaging or due to transportation.
2.2 Unpacking
Remove the device out of the carton and remove the packaging
material.

2.3 Disposal of the packaging
The packaging protects the device against damages during
transit. The packaging materials are selected in accordance
with environmentally compatible and recycling-related points of
view and can therefore be recycled.
Returning the packaging back to the material loop saves raw
materials and reduces the quantities of accumulated waste.
Take any packaging materials that are no longer required to
“Green Dot” recycling collection points for disposal.
Please note
! If possible, keep the original packaging for the device for the
duration of the guarantee period of the device, in order that
the device can be re-packaged properly in the event of a
guarantee claim.
2.4 Setup location requirements:
In order to ensure the safe and trouble-free operation of the
device, the setup location must fulfil the following prerequisites:
The device must be set up on a firm, flat and horizontal surface
with sufficient load-bearing capacity for the scale and the
maximum weight of the food that should be weighed.
Choose the setup location in such a way that children cannot
reach the device.
Do not set up the device in a hot, wet or extremely damp
environment or near flammable material.
2.5 Rating plate
The rating plate with the performance data can be founded on
the back of the device

3 Operation and Handling
3.1 Turn on
Press ON/OFF key to turn on the scale, wait for a moment and
it will turn tot he weight unit
3.2 Select Weight Unit
Press Unit key to select which you wanted, for example, if you
want to choose g as your target weight, press unit key as often
as possible since unit g show on right bottom of LCD.
3.3 Weighing
Keep waiting until LCD show 0, put the object on the platform,
and keep record after the number shows stable.
3.4 Turn Off
Keep press ON/OFF key for two seconds to turn off the scale
3.5 Tare Function
Put the container oft he object on the platform oft he scale, then
the LCD will show the weight oft the container.
If the weight of container is lighter than 100 g, press the TARE
key, the data will change to 0.
If the weight of the container is heavier than 100 g, there will be
a symbol ZEICHEN show on the left bottom (>T<). Then the
data will change to 0.
Then put the object into the container and the scale will show
the net weight oft he objects.

3.6 Timer Function
Keep press Timer key for 1s to enter timer mode, LCD shows
00:00 then and the first number on the left become flashing,
press ON/OFF key one time and the first letter will change from
0 to 1 as shown below, press Timer key to confirm and the
second latter become flashing.
Use the same way as shown in step 1 to select the second and
other numbers you wanted, 10:30 for example, means that you
set 10 minutes and thirty seconds as your target time.
Press the Timer key to confirm, then the scale will start
countdown and the beep.
3.7 Time Adjustment
Keep press Time key for 1 s to enter time adjust mode, LCD
shows the timer you already have and the first two letters
become flashing.
Reset the time according to you local current time by ON/OFF
key for plus UNIT key for decrease, and press TIME key to
confirm and then do the same to local current time for the
minutes.
3.8 Temperature Unit
Press the Unit key when the scale turn off, the unit oft he
temperature will be switch between Celsius and fahrenheit.

3.9 Change Battery
Open the plastic plate on the back side of scale.
Use proper tool to help release the battery from the
compartment if necessary.
Attach the next battery tot he scale ensure +/- terminals oft he
new battery and correct way around.
Attach the plastic plate to the back oft he scale as it shows
before.
4 Cleaning and Maintenance
This chapter provides you with important notices with regard to
cleaning and maintaining the device. Please observe the
notices to prevent damages due to cleaning the device
incorrectly and to ensure trouble-free operation.
4.1 Safety information
Attention
Please observe the following safety notices, before you
commence with cleaning the device:
! The device must be cleaned and food residues must be
removed at regular intervals. If the scale is not maintained in
a clean condition, this will have a detrimental effect on the
service life of the device and can also result in a dangerous
condition in the device as well as in the growth of fungus and
bacteria.
! Never immerse the unit into water or the dishwasher.
! If dampness penetrates into the device, this can damage the
electronic components.
! Do not use any aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents or
solvents.
! Do not scrape off stubborn dirt with hard items.
4.2 Cleaning
Wipe the housing and the display with a damp cloth or sponge
and mild dish soap.

5 Disposal of the Old Device
Old electric and electronic devices frequently still contain
valuable materials. However, they also contain damaging
substances, which were necessary for their functionality and
safety.
If these were put in the non-recyclable waste or were handled
incorrectly, they could be detrimental to human health and the
environment. Therefore, do not put your old device into the nonrecyclable waste under any circumstances.
Please note
! Utilise the collection point, established in your town, to return
and recycle old electric and electronic devices. If necessary,
contact your town hall, local refuse collection service or your
dealer for information.
! Ensure that your old device is stored safely away from
children until it is taken away.

6 Warranty (USA)
We provide a 12 month guarantee for this product, commencing from
the date of sale, for faults which are attributable to production or
material faults.
The guarantee does not include damages, which were incurred as a
result of improper handling or use, as well as malfunctions which only
have a minor effect on the function or the value of the device.
Consumables, transit damages, inasmuch as we are not responsible
for these, as well as damages, which were incurred as a result of any
repairs that were not performed by us, are also excluded from the
guarantee entitlements.
This device is designed for use in domestic situations and has the
appropriate performance levels.
Any use in commercial situations is only covered under the guarantee
to the extent that it would be comparable with the stresses of being
used in a domestic situation. It is not intended for any additional,
commercial use.
In the event of justified complaints, we will repair the faulty device at
our discretion or replace it with a trouble-free device.
Any pending faults must be reported within 14 days of delivery.
All further claims are excluded.

Lebensmitteln in haushaltsüblichen Mengen und zum Gebrauch
in Innenräumen.

! Defekte Bauteile dürfen nur gegen Original-Ersatzteile
ausgetauscht werden. Nur bei diesen Teilen ist

! Sie können die Halterung auf der Rückseite der Waage
lösen und sie auf die Arbeitsplatte stellen oder an die Wand
hängen, als Dekorationsgegenstand für Ihre Küche.

11 Inbetriebnahme
In diesem Kapitel erhalten Sie wichtige Hinweise zur
Inbetriebnahme des Gerätes. Beachten Sie die Hinweise um
Gefahren und Beschädigungen zu vermeiden.
11.1 Sicherheitshinweise
Bei der Inbetriebnahme des Gerätes können Personen- und
Sachschäden auftreten!
Beachten Sie die folgenden Sicherheitshinweise um die
Gefahren zu vermeiden.
Verpackungsmaterialien dürfen nicht zum Spielen verwendet
werden. Es besteht Erstickungsgefahr.
Stellen Sie die Waage vor Gebrauch auf eine feste, saubere,
ebene und glatte Oberfläche. So kann das Gewicht genau
gemessen werden.
! Stellen Sie nicht ruckartig Lebensmittel oder Gewicht auf die
Waage um die Waage nicht zu beschädigen.
! Bitte entfernen Sie vor der ersten Verwendung die
Schutzstreifen von den Batterien und entnehmen Sie die
Batterien, wenn Sie die Waage längere Zeit nicht benutzen.
! Stellen Sie keine schweren Gegenstände auf der Waage ab.
! Benutzen Sie die Waage nicht in einer heißen und nassen
Umgebung.
! Ersetzen Sie alte Batterien durch neue, wenn das Gerät
lange nicht benutzt wurde.
11.2 Lieferumfang und Transportinspektion
Die Waage wird standardmäßig mit folgenden Komponenten

! Prüfen Sie die Lieferung auf Vollständigkeit und auf
sichtbare Schäden.
! Melden Sie eine unvollständige Lieferung oder Schäden
infolge mangelhafter Verpackung oder durch Transport
sofort dem Spediteur, der Versicherung und dem
Lieferanten.
11.3 Auspacken
Zum Auspacken des Gerätes gehen Sie wie folgt vor:
! Öffnen Sie den Karton der Waage und entnehmen Sie die
Pappe in dem Karton. Gehen Sie vorsichtig dabei vor, denn die
Waage befindet sich in der Pappe.
! Entnehmen Sie die Waage aus der Pappe.
! Entfernen Sie die Schutzfolie, die die Waage vor
Transportschäden schützt.
11.4 Entsorgung der Verpackung
Die Verpackung schützt das Gerät vor Transportschäden. Die
Verpackungsmaterialien sind nach umweltverträglichen und
entsorgungstechnischen Gesichtspunkten ausgewählt und
deshalb recycelbar.
Die Rückführung der Verpackung in den Materialkreislauf spart
Rohstoffe und verringert das Abfallaufkommen. Entsorgen Sie
nicht mehr benötigte Verpackungsmaterialien an den
Sammelstellen für das Verwertungssystem »Grüner Punkt«.
! Heben Sie wenn möglich die Originalverpackung während
der Garantiezeit des Gerätes auf, um das Gerät im
Garantiefall wieder ordnungsgemäß verpacken zu können.

11.5 Energieversorgung
! Die Waage funktioniert mit 4 x 1,5 V Batterien. Diese sind nicht
im Lieferumfang enthalten.
Sollte im Display die Anzeige „LO“ erscheinen, sind die
Batterien nicht korrekt eingelegt. Öffnen Sie das Batteriefach
auf der Rückseite des Gerätes und entnehmen Sie die
Batterien. Setzen Sie anschließend 4 x 1,5 V Batterien in das
Batteriefach ein. Achten Sie dabei auf die richtige Polarisierung.

13 Bedienung und Betrieb
In diesem Kapitel erhalten Sie wichtige Hinweise zur Bedienung
des Gerätes. Beachten Sie die Hinweise um Gefahren und
Beschädigungen zu vermeiden.
13.1 Ein- und Ausschalten
Drücken Sie die ON/OFF-Taste, um die Waage einzuschalten
und warten Sie kurz, bis die Gewichtseinheit angezeigt wird.
Um die Waage auszuschalten halten Sie die ON/OFF-Taste
zwei Sekunden lang gedrückt.
13.2 Auswahl der Gewichtseinheit
Dieses Gerät ist nur für den Haushalt und die Nutzung
innerhalb des Hauses geeignet. Es ist nicht für den
gewerblichen Gebrauch geeignet.
Benutzen Sie das Gerät nur, wenn es sich auf einer ebenen
Fläche in waagerechter Position befindet. Ansonsten können
die in den Füßen der Waage liegenden Sensoren ein
verfälschtes Wiegeergebnis anzeigen.
Drücken Sie auf die Taste Unit (Einheit), um die gewünschte
Einheit auszuwählen. Wenn Sie beispielsweise Gramm (g) als
Gewichtseinheit auswählen möchten, drücken Sie auf die Taste
Unit so oft bis das g für Gramm unten rechts auf der LCDAnzeige erscheint.
13.3 Wiegen
Warten Sie, bis die LCD-Anzeige auf 0 steht, dann legen Sie
das Wiegegut auf die Wiegefläche und lesen das Gewicht ab,
wenn sich der angezeigte Wert stabilisiert hat.
13.4 Tarierfunktion
Stellen Sie den Behälter für das Wiegegut auf die Wiegefläche
der Waage. Die LCD-Anzeige zeigt nun das Gewicht des
Behälters an.
