To set the day

Pull the crown out to the ﬁrst click.1. Set the day by rotating the crown.2.

To set the time

When the second hand is at 1. 12 o’clock, pull out the crown to the second click to stop it. Set the hands b y rotating the 2. crown. Rotate the crown to move the hands clockwise. Move the minute hand four or ﬁve minutes past the time you want to set, and then back it up to the proper setting. Push the crown back in to 3. the normal position to restart timekeeping.

The stopwatch lets you measure elapsed time up to 59 minutes, 59.95 seconds.

To measure elapsed time (First 30 seconds)

Press 1. A to start the stopwatch.

Press 2. A to stop the stopwatch.

You can resume the measurement operation by pressing • A again.

Check the elapsed time.3. The example below shows an elapsed time of 24.65 seconds. •

For a watch with an elapsed time bezel ■ Rotate the elapsed time bezel to align the minute hand. After certain am ount of time ela psed, read the gra duation on the elapsed time bezel which the minute hand points to. The elapsed time is indicated.

Some water resist ant models are equ ipped with a screw • lock crown. With such model s, you must unsc rew the crown in the • direction noted in the illustration to loosen it before you can pull it out. Do not pull too forcibly on such crowns. Also note that such watches are n ot water resistant while • their crowns are loo sened. Be sure to screw the crowns back in as far as they will go after making any setting.

Press • B to reset the stopwatch. This will enter the Timekeeping Mode.

To measure elapsed time (After the ﬁrst 30 seconds)

Press 1. A to start the stopwatch.

During elapsed time measurement, the stopwatch 1/20 second hand • automatically rotates for the ﬁnal second of each minute.

Press 2. A to stop the stopwatch.

You can resume the measurement operation by pressing • A again.

Press 3. A and the stopw atch 1/20 secon d hand will move to the

1/20 second count.

If the elapsed time operation w as stopped durin g the ﬁnal secon d of each • minute, the stop watch 1/20 seco nd hand will alrea dy be pointing a t the 1/20 second count. Do not press A at this time, because doing so will restart the elapsed time operation.

Check the elapsed time.4. The example below shows an elapsed time of two minutes, 24.65 seconds. •

Press • B to reset the stopwatch. This will enter the Timekeeping Mode.

Notes:

Do not try to perform stopwatch operations while the crown is pulled out either • to the ﬁrst or s econd click. If you try to press a button, you mig ht accidentally cause the crown to rotate and change the current time or day setting. If the starting positions of th e stopwatch seco nd hand and 1/20 second hand • become misaligne d, use the follo wing procedures to a djust the positi ons of the hands so they point to 12 o’clock when the stopwatch is reset.

To adjust the positions of the stopwatch hands

Press 1. B to reset the stopwatch, and check the stopwatch second hand,

1/20 second hand, and minute hand. They all should be at 12 o’clock.

To adjust the hands, pull out the crown to the second click.2.

Press 3. A to move the stopwatch second hand to 12 o’clock.

Holding down • A will move the second hand at high speed, unti l you release the button.

Press 4. B to move the stopwatch 1/20 second hand to 12 o’clock.

Holding down • B will move the 1/20 second hand at high speed, until you

release the button. After making th e adjustments yo u want, push the crown back in to its normal 5. position. The stopwatch minute hand will move automatically to 12 o’clock.

Note that pulling the crown out also stops the timekeeping second hand. After • performing the above procedure, you should also adjust the timekeeping setting.
