With 20 hours use per week, 9 volt alkaline batteries will last about six months. Lithium batteries will last about a year.
Important: Unplug instrument when not in use to eliminate battery drain.
If any minor distortion is detected when you play hard, then you should change the battery. Minimum voltage requirement—7 volts.
Important: The pop-up compartments are designed so that the lids will close easily if the batteries are installed properly, with the positive terminal of the batteries matching that of the pop-up
compartments. See illustration for proper installation of batteries.
Always unplug your instrument from the amp when changing the batteries to prevent damage to your electronic module.
MASTER VOLUME:
Pull up for passive electronics, this deactivates the active tones and piezo pickups. (Your bass will function in passive mode even with dead or missing batteries).
ACTIVE BASS: Cut and Boost. (50Hz)
ACTIVE MID: Cut and Boost. (200Hz)
ACTIVE HI: Cut and Boost. (7kHz)
MAGNETIC PICKUP PAN CONTROL:
Pan control, blends J99 neck and HB2 bridge pickups.
MAGNETIC/PIEZO PICKUP PAN CONTROL:
Blends J99 and HB2 magnetic pickups with Piezo pickups.
