Quick Start
Setting the time and day
Changing the temperature
You must set the time and day before you can use any of the
NUI’s programming features.
Open the door 1.
Press D/H/M SET CLOCK ( 2.
) button.
Press the up or down button, to change the hour. 3.
Stop on the correct hour.
Press the D/H/M SET CLOCK ( 4.
) symbol button
again and the minutes will ash on the display.
Press the up or down button to change the minutes. 5.
Stop on the correct number.
Press the D/H/M SET CLOCK ( 6.

again and day will ash on the display.
Press the up or down button to change the day. 7.

Press OK button or close the door.8.
There are times when you want to change temporary
temperature. Here’s how.
Open the door 1.
Press mode (M) button to select the desired mode. 2.
Press up or down buttons on the right side until you
reach the desired temperature setting. This creates a
“temporary hold” until the next pre-set time period.
You will see schedule active icon

) ashing on the display.
To maintain that temperature setting so it doesn’t 3.
change during the next pre-set time period, press
hold (
) symbol button on the left side. The
temperature will stay at the setting you selected until
you release the hold. The schedule active icon (

will disappear.
To return the temperature to the pre-set level for that 4.

the hold and the temperature will return to its

Programming the Touch ‘N’ Go feature
To Lock all key and block command functions
Open the door 1.
Press and hold for 3 seconds the three buttons days 2.

To unlock the keyboard press again the three buttons 4.

The unique Touch ‘N’ Go feature on your thermostat is a
revolutionary tool that lets you use a simpler programming
option – literally, touch and go – to help you get the
maximum comfort control from the entire comfort system.
With the touch of one Touch ‘N’ Go button – home
(
), away ( ) and sleep ( )–you can tell
your thermostat where you’ll be. To keep the home at that
comfort level indenitely, you add one more button –hold
(
) – and you’re set. It’s the ideal choice for them whose
schedule varies from day to day or doesn’t t into the
two or four or six predictable time periods allowed by the
thermostat.
At the same time, these three comfort options – home, away
and sleep – are connected to the thermostat’s full-level
programming power so that you get the home comfort you
desire exactly when you want it.
The three Touch ‘N’ Go buttons are preset at the factory
for typical heating and cooling temperature settings and
assigned to specic time periods. You can change these
temperature settings and the hours you want to use them
easily. Learn how to do that and discover how useful this
device is as you read through this manual.
The Touch ‘N’ Go feature on your thermostat involves home
(
), away ( ) and sleep ( ) buttons
immediately under the display. They are used for three
programming options.
The simpler programming option requires you to either
accept the preset temperature settings for when you are
home, away or asleep, or to set your own Touch ‘N’ Go
heating and cooling temperature settings. Either way, your
home, away and sleep settings are automatically linked to
one of six time periods that are also preset (and changeable)
on the thermostat.
Here are the temperature settings that are pre-programmed
for your home, away and sleep periods.

Changing the temperature time periods
After you have set temperature settings for home, away and
asleep, you can program the time of day you want to use for
those temperature settings.
The thermostat has six time ranges called periods. They are
identied on the display as P1, P2, P3, P4, P5 and P6.
The thermostat has preset periods (see below), but you can
change these to t your lifestyle.
What time blocks work for you? Write them in here and refer to this as you make the changes on the thermostat.

Here’s how to change the factory-set time periods.
Open the door. 1.

You must select one of these timeframe options – 1 to 3.

The “stop time” for period 1 (P1) is also the “start time” 8.

Here’s how to connect your six time periods with the three
comfort ranges – home, away and sleep, CDU Mode Settings
ON/OFF and Frequency Reduction mode settings ON/OFF.
Open the door. 1.

example, if your heating temperature setting for
home is 23 °C, the thermostat will keep the heat at 23
during P1.

Once you have set the temperatures and time periods that
correspond with your three Touch ‘N’ Go comfort buttons
(see Programming the Touch ‘N’ Go feature), and Assigning
time periods to temperatures, you won’t need to use your
Touch ‘N’ Go buttons unless you want to make a temporary
change. For example, if you go to bed earlier than usual,
pressing the sleep button will lower the temperature sooner
than scheduled. If you go to bed later than usual, pressing
the home button will keep the home warmer past your
usual bedtime but you’ll need to press sleep before you go
to bed.

To hold it at home, away or sleep
Advanced programming display codes
There might be situations when you want to override the
programming and hold the home’s temperature at one of
the three home, away or sleep comfort levels. This is useful
when you’re going on vacation or traveling, or when you’re
home unexpectedly. Here’s how to prevent the thermostat
from changing temperatures when it reaches the next
programming time period.
Open the door. 1.
Press the desired button under the display – home 2.

Press the hold ( 3.
) button on the left side. You will
see the ashing schedule activate icon (

disappear.
To return to your original programming schedule, 4.
press the hold (
) button. You will see the ashing

particular icon will be constantly displayed.
Close the door. 5.
You can customize several features of your NUI. This table
shows which features you can change and the codes
(parameter number) associated with them. The codes
(parameter number) will be shown on the display when you
follow the instructions.
To make a temporary change
Open the door. 1.
Press the home ( 2.

button that you want. You will see the symbol
ashing on the display which represents temporary
hold. The system will change to the temperature
settings programmed for that lifestyle period. It will
maintain that temperature setting until the next
power o, the next programming time period or
someone has changed that setting.
To return to the originally programmed lifestyle 3.

Changing your Feature settings
Now you can change the settings of dierent features with
the NUI. Here is how you can program you thermostat
settings.
Open the door. 1.
Press home ( 2.
) and away ( ) buttons and
hold for 3 seconds. You will see parameter number “1”
is ashing in the time display area.
Press mode (M) button, you will see parameter value 3.

Special Features
What If !
Room Temperature Sensor Adjustment
Short-Cut to Frequency reduction Mode
You get a system error message
NUI oers a feature where you can add or subtract an oset
to the displayed room temperature. This allows the NUI to
display the correct temperature of the room even if the NUI
is installed at a location where there is a slight dierence in
temperature.
In this case, the TROOM SENSOR ADJ variable can be
modied in a range of +5°C / -5°C and this value will be
mathematically added to the real Room sensor value. Refer
to parameter number 13 of Features Table (Page number
13).
Here are the possible system error messages and what they
mean:
Room Air Temperature Sensor Failure
If the sensor used to sense room air temperature, reads less
than -45°C or greater than 65°C, it will be considered as
failed and will display “--”.
Humidity Sensor Failure
If the sensor used to sense room Humidity reads less than 0
HR% or greater than 99 HR%, it will be considered as failed
and will display “--”.
EEPROM Failure
If the thermostat non-volatile memory (EEPROM) has failed,
an “E4” error will be shown in the room air temperature
display. When this error is present and power is cycled to
the thermostat all of the installer congurations, program
schedule settings and user settings will be factory default
values.
This may results in incorrect equipment operation and is not
recoverable. In this case, the thermostat must be replaced.
Communication Failure
If the NUI does not receive CCN communication data from
the CDU for 60 seconds, the display will show “E3” error code
in the Temperature display zone and ‘-‘in the Time Display
zone. Under this condition the outside temperature will
be blanked. “E3” error code will be displayed and the other
functionality will remain same. If this happens then check
the communication cable between NUI and outdoor unit.
Press the active key among Hold (
) key for 10 seconds
to make Night mode active and can de-activate the Night
mode by pressing the Hold (
) key again for 10 seconds.
When Frequency reduction / Night / Silence mode is active,
NUI will display the (
) Icon. If FR mode is active, this will
always override the selection done in program schedule.

What If !
Fault Code Table
NUI will read Main Board Failures through one of the
communication parameters (Parameter 22). When entered
into user setup and scroll the parameters to number 22, NUI
will display active fault codes mentioned in below table.
These active fault codes will be displayed in a sequence,
with the change rate of 1 second.

Per bloccare tutti i tasti e le funzioni di comando

La funzione unica Touch ‘N’ Go sul vostro termostato è
uno strumento rivoluzionario che vi permette di utilizzare
un’opzione di programmazione semplicata; letteralmente,
tocca e vai – per aiutarvi ad ottenere il massimo controllo
del comfort dell’ambiente in cui vivete.
Toccando uno dei tasti Touch ‘N’ Go – in casa
(
), fuori casa ( ) e notte ( )–potrete dire
al vostro termostato dove sarete. Per mantenere la casa
ad uno dei tre livelli di comfort in maniera indenita,
dovete premere il tasto blocca (
) e l’impostazione verrà
eettuata.
I tre tasti Touch ‘N’ Go sono pre-impostati dalla fabbrica su
temperature e fasce orarie (periodi) tipiche, dierenziate per
il riscaldamento e il rarescamento. E’ possibile modicare
queste temperature pre-impostate e le ore alle quali sono
richieste, in maniera molto semplice. Imparate come si
fanno queste modiche e scoprite come questa funzione sia
molto utile leggendo questo manuale.
La funzione Touch ‘N’ Go sul vostro termostato è legata ai
tasti: in casa (
), fuori casa ( ) e notte ( ) che
si trovano immediatamente al di sotto del display. Essi sono
utilizzati per selezionare le tre opzioni di programmazione.
La semplice opzione di programmazione vi richiede o di
accettare le impostazioni di temperatura pre-impostate
per quando siete in casa, fuori casa o di notte, oppure di
impostare la vostra temperatura preferita Touch ‘N’ Go
nel caso di funzionamento in riscaldamento e nel caso di
funzionamento in rarescamento. In entrambi i casi, le
vostre impostazioni “in casa”, “fuori casa” e “notte” vengono
in automatico connesse ad uno dei sei periodi di tempo che
sono pre-impostati (e modicabili) nel termostato.
Qui sotto sono riportati i valori di temperatura che sono già
impostati per i periodi: in casa, fuori casa e notte.

Premere e mantenere premuto, per circa 3 secondi, il 1.

La procedura per il passaggio dai parametri deniti
dall’utente ai parametri di default di fabbrica è descritta
sotto.
Premere simultaneamente i tasti in casa ( 1.
) e
fuori casa (
) per 10 secondi per entrare nella
modalità congurazione utente. Quando questo
parametro viene selezionato per la prima volta, verrà
visualizzato il numero 999 nella zona temperatura e
un valore numerico iniziale pari a 10 sarà visualizzato
nella zona tempo del display.
Premere e mantenere premuto il tasto giù. Quando 2.
il contatore raggiunge il valorae zero, nella zona
temperatura verrà visualizzata la sigla “Fd”. Questo
signica che è in corso il ripristino dei valori di default
della fabbrica. Una volta concluso con successo il
ripristino dei valori pre-impostati sulla EEPROM, il NUI
si reimposterà sui valori di fabbrica.

Modicare i periodi
Dopo avere impostato i valori di temperatura per “in casa”,
“fuori casa” e “notte”, è possibile programmare il periodo del
giorno nel quale si vogliono questi valori di temperatura.
Il termostato ha no a sei intervalli di tempo chiamati
periodi. Essi sono identicati sul display come P1, P2, P3, P4,
P5 e P6.
Il termostato ha sei periodi pre-impostati (vedi sotto) che
possono essere cambiati in modo da adattarli al vostro stile
di vita.
Riportate qui sotto i vostri periodi e fate riferimento a questi quando apportate modiche sul termostato.

giorno (1,2,3,4,5,6,7).
Per vericare che il termostato ha accettato i 12.
vostri cambiamenti, scorrere i sei periodi di tempo
premendo sui giorni (
), selezionando il vostro
orario – da 1 a 7(tutti i giorni), da 1 a 5 (giorni feriali),
da 6 a 7(giorni festivi) o giorno per giorno – e quindi
premere il tasto periodo per vedere le ore assegnate
per ogni tempo di avvio del periodo. Ogni volta che
si preme il tasto periodo (
) si avanzerà all’ora di
avvio seguente. Se la programmazione dei periodi
non è corretta verranno mostrati due trattini “- -“ e si
accenderanno le tre frecce (

Qui è riportato come collegare i sei periodi di tempo
personalizzati con i tre intervalli di Comfort – in casa, fuori
casa e notte, modalità di impostazione del CDU ON/OFF e
modalità di impostazione della riduzione di frequenza ON/
OFF.
Aprire lo sportello. 1.
Premere il tasto giorni ( 2.

23˚C, il termostato manterrà la temperatura a 23°C
durante il P1.

potrebbe essere necessario apportare una modica
temporanea al programma impostato.
Per esempio nel caso in cui capita di andare a letto più
presto del solito, premendo il tasto “notte” la temperatura si
abbasserà prima rispetto all’ora stabilita dal piano orario.

Bloccare le impostazioni in casa, fuori casa o Notte
Codici avanzati di programmazione del display
Potrebbero esserci delle situazioni per le quali si vuole
non tenere conto della programmazione e si preferisce
mantenere la temperatura ad uno dei tre livelli di comfort
“in casa”, “fuori casa” o “notte”. Questo è utile quando
si è in vacanza, in viaggio o quando si resta a casa
inaspettatamente. Qui sotto è descritto come evitare che
il termostato vari le temperature quando raggiunge il
periodo di tempo successivo.
Aprire lo sportello. 1.

Modicare i parametri
Ora è possibili modicare le impostazioni di diverse funzioni
del NUI. Qui sotto è mostrato come programmare i settaggi
del termostato.
Aprire lo sportello. 1.
Premere i tasti in casa ( 2.

mantienili premuti per 3 secondi. Si vedrà il numero
del parametro “1” lampeggiare nella zona tempo.

Funzioni speciali
Cosa succede se
Regolazione del sensore di temperatura interna
Tasti brevi per modalità riduzione di frequenza
Appare un messaggio di errore del sistema
Il NUI ore una funzione con la quale è possibile correggere
la temperatura ambiente visualizzata. Questo permette al
NUI di visualizzare la corretta temperatura della stanza nel
caso in cui venga installato in un luogo dove c’è una leggera
dierenza di temperatura.
La correzione può essere fatta in un intervallo
compreso tra +5°C e -5°C e questo valore sarà sommato
matematicamente al valore reale dato dal sensore. Fare
riferimento al parametro numero 13 della tabella delle
funzioni (Pagina numero 28)
Qui sono riportati i possibili messaggi di errore del sistema
che signicano:
Guasto del sensore della temperature dell’aria
Se il sensore utilizzato per rilevare la temperature dell’aria
ambiente, misura un valore minore di -45°C o più grande di
65°C, esso verrà considerato guasto e verrà visualizzato “--”.
Guasto al sensore di umidità
Se il sensore usato per rilevare l’umidità legge meno di
0 HR% o più di 99 HR%, sarà considerato guasto e verrà
visualizzato “--”.
EEPROM guasto
Se la memoria non-volatile (EEPROM) è guasta, verrà
visualizzato un errore “E4” sul display al posto della
temperatura dell’aria nella stanza. Quando questo errore si
presenta e il termostato è alimentato tutte le congurazioni
dell’installatore, le impostazioni dei programmi orari
e i settaggi dell’utente verranno riportati ai valori di
default della fabbrica. Questo potrebbe portare a un
funzionamento scorretto dell’apparecchio. Non ci sono
modi di correggere questo errore. Il termostato deve essere
sostituito.

Guasto alla comunicazione
Se il NUI non riceve informazioni CCN dalla scheda GMC
della pompa di calore per 50 secondi il display visualizzerà
il codice d’errore “E3” al posto della temperatura e ‘-‘ in tutta
l’area del display dedicata all’ora. In queste condizioni la
temperatura esterna sarà cancellata. Il codice d’errore “E3”
sarà visualizzato una volta e le altre funzionalità rimarranno
inalterate. Se questo succede va controllato il cavo di
comunicazione tra il NUI e l’unità esterna.
Premere il tasto blocca (
) per 10 secondi per attivare
la modalità riduzione di frequenza e si può disattivare
premendo di nuovo il tasto (
) blocca per 10 secondi.
Quando è attiva la modalità riduzione di frequenza / notte
/ silenzio, il NUI mostrerà l’icona (
). Se la modalità
riduzione di frequenza è attiva, questo scavalcherà sempre
la selezione fatta nel programma orario.
