durability that have endured for more than a century. And, to ensure maximum year-round performance, your
dealer can update your system with a new Carrier furnace or fan coil and thermostat, all backed by the indoor
comfort experts.
Efficiency
SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio) ratings are like your car’s MPG – the higher the
number, the greater the potential for savings. Performance™ Series air conditioners offer a
range of efficiencies that start around 14.0 SEER and reach as high as 17.5 SEER.
Durability
Don’t let the attractive exterior fool you – Performance™ Series air conditioners are built for
years of lasting durability. A galvanized steel cabinet, louvered steel coil guard and baked-on
powder paint provide superior protection against dings, dents and other outdoor threats.
Humidity Management
Your two-stage Performance™ Series air conditioner can be the key to enhanced comfort
and efficiency through precision humidity management. Include a Côr™ thermostat, Carrier®
humidifier and multi-speed indoor unit and let Ideal Humidity System® technology deliver ideal
comfort, all year long.
Environment
Carrier was the first to offer systems with Puron® refrigerant, which does not contribute to
ozone depletion. Our century-plus commitment to delivering energy-saving comfort continues
with our insistence upon earning ENERGY STAR® designation on most of our Performance™
Series air conditioners.
Sound
Carrier® Performance™ Series air conditioners cool your home quietly. All models include
Silencer System II™ components that reduce airflow and vibration – an aerodynamic top,
compressor sound blanket and quiet motor mounts. Our two-stage models take sound levels
even lower with extra-quiet, low-stage operation.
Limited Warranty
To the original owner, Carrier® Performance™ Series air conditioners are covered by a 10-year
parts limited warranty upon timely registration. The limited warranty period is five years if
not registered within 90 days of installation. Jurisdictions where warranty benefits cannot be
conditioned on registration will receive the registered limited warranty period. See warranty

Regional Efficiency Standards
On January 1, 2015, a new set of minimum efficiency standards took
effect. Under the new standards, there are different efficiency minimums
for air conditioners in each of three regions – North, Southeast and
Southwest. Your Carrier® dealer will have a Performance™ Series air
conditioner to meet your region’s minimum requirement.
