SAFETY CONSIDERATIONS
When installing this accessory, observe precautions in the
literature and on any labels attached to the equipment, and all
other safety precautions that may apply.
• Follow all safety codes.
• Wear safety glasses and work gloves.
• Use care in handling and installing this accessory.
WARNING
Electrical shock can cause personal injury and death. Shut
off all power to this equipment during installation. There
may be more than one disconnect switch. Tag all disconnect locations to alert others not to restore power until work
is completed.
INTRODUCTION
This accessory package is intended for use with
38APD025-060, 38APS025-050, 30RAP010-060, and
09DP018-060 units. See Table 1 for accessory package usage.
The security grille/hail guard accessory helps prevent condenser coil damage. Refer to Table 2 for accessory package
contents.

INSTALLATION
Refer to Tables 1 and 2 and inspect package contents for
any missing or damaged parts. File a claim with the shipping
company if any item is missing or damaged, and notify your
Carrier representative.
1. Disconnect all power to the unit.
NOTE: Two accessory packages are required for unit
sizes 38AP040-060, 30RAP035-060, and 09DP035-060. Refer
to Table 1.
2. Install the center bracket (Item 2) using 2 screws provided (Item 3). See Fig. 1.
3. Attach two louvered panels (Item 1) to the bracket and
corner posts with 8 screws provided (Item 3).
4. For sizes 38AP040-060, 30RAP035-060, and 09DP035060, repeat Steps 2 and 3 to install the opposite side louvered panels.
5. Restore power to the unit.
