Använd denna apparat endast i måttligt klimat (inte i tropiskt klimat).

Använd denna apparat endast inomhus, inte utomhus eller i fuktrum.

För att undvika risk för brand eller elektrisk stöt får apparaten varken utsättas för regn eller väta.

Använd inte denna apparat i närheten av vatten.

Utsätt inte denna apparat för dropp- eller stänkvatten.

Kraftiga temperaturvariationer leder till kondensbildning (vattendroppar) i apparaten. Vänta med idrifttagningen tills fukten som har bildats har avdunstat (minst tre timmar).

Ställ inga föremål som är fyllda med vatten på apparaten (som t.ex. vaser).

Ställ inte öppen eld, t.ex. brinnande ljus på eller i närheten av apparaten.

Ställ inte apparaten i närheten av värmekällor som t.ex. värmeelement, värmeackumulatorer, ugnar eller liknande apparater (även förstärkare), vilka genererar värme.

Förhindra direkt solstrålning.

Håll ett fritt utrymme på minst 5 cm runt om apparaten.

För att undvika elektriska stötar, anslut bara nätkontakten till eluttag eller förlängningskablar i vilka kontaktstiften kan stickas in fullständigt för att förhindra friliggande kontaktstift.

OBS!

Rör aldrig vid signal- eller nätkablar med våta händer.

Kliv inte på nätkabeln och kläm inte fast den, i synnerhet inte i området vid kontakten, eluttag eller vid det ställe där kabeln förs ut ur apparaten.

Nätkabelns (eller förlängningskabelns) kontakt måste alltid vara fritt åtkomlig.

Frånskilj apparaten från elnätet under åskväder eller om den inte ska användas under en längre tid.

För att komplett frånskilja apparaten från elnätet, dra ur nätkabeln ur eluttaget.

Stäng alltid av apparaten innan anslutningsledningar ansluts eller dras ur.

Dra alltid i kontakten och aldrig i ledningarna.

Ställ upp apparaten enligt tillverkarens anvisningar.

Välj alltid ett jämnt underlag. Apparaten måste stå lodrätt.

Använd inte våld mot manöverelement, anslutningar eller ledningar.

Apparaten får endast drivas med den spänning och frekvens som är speciﬁcerad på typskylten.

Stick inte in föremål eller kroppsdelar i apparatens öppningar. Strömförande delar inne i huset kan kommas åt och/eller skadas. Detta kan leda till kortslutning, elektriska stötar och brandutveckling.

Använd bara fastsättningsmaterial och tillbehör som är godkända av tillverkaren och/eller medföljer apparaten.

Använd bara rullvagnar, stativ, hållare eller bord som har speciﬁcerats av tillverkaren eller som säljs tillsammans med apparaten. Om du använder en rullvagn, ﬂytta rullvagnen/apparatkombinationen bara försiktigt för att undvikda person- och sakskador på grund av att vagnen tippar.

OBS!

Rengör apparaten endast med en ren, torr trasa.

Använd inga aggressiva, alkoholhaltiga eller skrubbande medel vid rengöring.

För att undvika elektisk stöt, öppna inte apparathuset! Apparaten innehållar inga delar som ska underhållas av användaren.

Vänd dig angående alla typer av reparations- och underhållsarbeten till kvaliﬁcerad fackpersonal. Detta är nödvändigt, om apparaten är skadad på något sätt, som t.ex. vid skador på nätkablar eller kontakter, om vätskor eller föremål har kommit in i apparaten, om apparaten har utsatts för regn eller fukt, inte fungerar ordentligt eller om den har tappats.

Utför inga förändringar på apparaten eller på tillbehör. Ej tillåtna förändringar kan påverka säkerheten, efterföljande av lagar eller systemprestanden på ett negativt sätt. I sådana fall kan drifttillståndet/garantin upphävas.

Om tonförvrängningar som t.ex. onaturliga knackningar, dunkningar eller högfrekventa klick uppträder, ska volymnivån omedelbart sänkas.

För att undvika eventuella hörselskador, lyssna inte på hög volym under längre tid.

Batterier ska hållas utom räckhåll för barn.

Tänk på miljön när du avfallshanterar batterierna. Batterier ska lämnas in till ett insamlingsställe för batterier.

Batterier får inte utsättas för höga temperaturer, som t.ex. direkt solstrålning, eld, eller liknande.

Batterier måste sättas i motsvarande markeringen för deras polaritet. Felaktigt isatta batterier kan leda till skador.

Använd uteslutande de batterier eller uppladdningsbara batterier som är speciﬁcerade för apparaten.

De medföljande batterierna är inga ackumulatorbatterier, dvs. dessa batterier får inte laddas upp.

Utbytbara litium batterier! Varning: Vid felaktigt utbyte föreligger explosionsfara. Byt endast ut batterier mot batterier av samma typ.

Placering

Canton musicbox M bör placeras på en plan yta t.ex. på en hylla, ett skåp etc. eller under en bildskärm.

Spela in

Inspelningsfas upp till maximala klangegenskaper: 15 - 20 drifttimmar.

• Lyssna under denna tid bara vid normal ljudvolym

• Undvik extremt höga nivåer

• Lyssna på mycket varierande musikmaterial

Börja använda fjärrkontrollen

Sätt i de medföljande batterierna i fjärrkontrollen. Se till att respektive polaritetsmarkering (+/–) har satts i på rätt sätt. Använd endast det batteri (CR 2032) som har speciﬁcerats för detta system.

Anslutning

Se till att alla elektriska komponenter är avstängda innan anslutning. Beroende på källornas typ och utrustning ﬁnns det olika möjligheter att ansluta musicbox M.

Sweden

Ingång (analog)

Ingången på musicbox M som är markerad med "LINE" kan användas för att ansluta en källenhet med analoga line-utgångar (t.ex. CD-spelare, spelkonsoler etc.).

Ingång (digital input)

Digitalingången som är markerade med "PCM Audio, Digital Input" på musicbox M kan användas för anslutning av en valfri källa med optisk digitalutgång (t.ex. TV, satellitmottagare, BD-spelare, etc.). Anslut för detta den optiska digitalutgången på din uppspelningsenhet.

VARNING: Se till att den anslutna apparaten är korrekt inställd. musicbox M kan bara återge ljud om du har valt "PCM-Stereo" eller "PCMDownmix"i ljudmenyn på din uppspelningsenhet. "DTS

" eller "Dolby Digital®" kodade utmatningsformat (bitstram eller RAW) kan inte spelas upp. Om du har frågor om inställningen, se bruksanvisningen till din uppspelningsenhet.

FM Tuner Ingången på musicbox M som är markerad med "FM-Radio" används för att ansluta en antennkabel för radiomottagning. Du kan både använda en vanlig antenn/rumsantenn eller en bredbandsanslutning.

Utgång För att ansluta en extern subwoofer använd uttaget på musicbox M som är markerad med "SUB OUT".

OBS!

Se vid anslutningen till att höger och vänster kanal ansluts på rätt sätt och använd uteslutande avskärmade cinch-kablar för att undvika att störningsljud tränger in. Använd en optisk digitalkabel (Toslink) för att ansluta en enhet med digital utgång.

Använda musicbox M

musicbox M har en multifunktionsdisplay som lyser blått under ca 5 sekunder när fjärrkontrollen skickar ett kommando. De visningar som ﬁnns och deras betydelse beskrivs här. Standby läget indikeras med Power knappen som lyser rött ovanpå musicbox M.

Återgivningslägen

Användning av återgivningsfunktionerna

- musicbox M har tre olika återgivningslägen så att man kan anpassa den rumsliga bilden enligt personlig smak:

Stereo

- originalliknande återgivning av den inmatade signalens

vänstra och högra kanal (användning som stereoanläggning)

WIDE

- återgivning av den inmatade signalen med virtuell

breddning av stereobasen (rumsfyllande stereoklang)

SURRound

- återgivning av den inmatade signalen med virtuell

rumsklang (användning som hemmabio)

- Genom att man trycker på knappen "Playmode“ väljer man respektive nästa läge

Felsökning

Problem Möjlig orsak Åtgärd

musicbox M startar inte.

1. Nätkabel inte ansluten till eluttag och/eller till musicbox M.

Skapa förbindelsen.

2. Nätbrytaren inte påslagen. Brytare i läge "ON".

Ljudåtergivningen för tyst.

1. Volymen på musicbox M för lågt inställd. Höj volymen med knappen "Volume".

musicbox M reagerar inte på fjärrkontrollen.

1. Batteriet är tomt. 1. Byt batteriet, kontrollera polariteten när batteriet sätts i.

2. Avståndet till musicbox M är för stort eller vinkeln är för stor.

2. Minska avståndet till enheten eller minska vinkeln.

Ingen ljudfåtergivning. 1. Källenhetens ljudformat har ställts in på fel

sätt (digitalingång "Digital").

1. Kontrollera att din källenhet är rätt inställd (se sidan 10). "DTS" eller "Dolby Digital" kodade utmatningsformat kan inte spelas upp.

2. Uppspelningsenheten ger inte ut någon signal.

2. Digitalutgången på källenheten är inte frigiven (se bruksanvisningen till enheten).

3. Kabeln är inte korrekt ansluten/defekt kabel. 3. Kontrollera förbindelsen mellan uppspelningsenheten och musicbox M och byt vid behov ut kabeln.

4. Fel ingång vald. 4. Välj rätt ingång.

5. musicbox M är stumminställd. 5. Truck på mute-knappen tills volymvärdet visas.

musicbox M brummar. 1. Signalledningar från källenheten till musicbox M

z för lång.

Använd kortare signalledningar.

2. De signalledningar som används är inte avs-

kärmade eller avskärmningen är avbruten på ledningen som används (defekt).

Byt ut ledningen mot en avskärmad ledning.

3. Jordslinga (brummslinga) "skapad". En jordslinga kan bildas om minst två med signalledningar

(cinch) förbundna apparater med skyddskontakter (t.ex. förstärkare och dator) är anslutna till eluttag på olika platser. Anslut alla apparater som är anslutna till musicbox M med skyddskontakter till en eluttagslist (multipeluttag).

4. En ej avstörd förbrukare (t.ex. kylskåp)

ansluten till nätet.

Stäng av möjliga störkällor för att testa; låt avstöra den aktuella apparaten, om det brummande ljudet försvinner eller anslut först störkällan till en annan nätfas (L1, L2 eller L3) (kontakta en fackman vid behov). Koppla in ett speciellt "mantelströmﬁlter" (ﬁnns att köpa i fackhandeln) mellan källenheten och musicbox M för att eliminera brummandet. Vänd på nätkontakten för att minska den så kallade brumspänningen (särskilt viktigt om källenheten inte är jordad).

Störd radiomottagning.

1. Ogynnsam antennposition. 1. Placera den uppsatta (!) antennen så fritt som möjligt, med avstånd till ytor i metall.

2. Ogynnsamt geograﬁskt läge. 2. Använd en takantenn eller en bredbandskabelanslutning.

3. Sändaren har inte ställts in ordentligt. 3. Stäm av sändaren manuellt enligt beskrivningen på sidan 15.

4. Kraftigt brus hos svaga sändare. 4. Ställ om till "mono".

En inställd radiosändare ﬁnns inte kvar efter avoch påslagning (visning av 87.50 igen).

Sändaren har inte sparats på en minnesplats. Genomför sparandet av sändaren på det sätt som beskrivs

på sidan 15 igen.

musikbox M har för lite eller ingen bas.

1. Utgången för en extern subwoofer är aktiverad

med ingen subwoofer är ansluten eller är inte klar att användas.

1. Avaktivera utgången på det sätt som beskrivs på sidan 16 eller anslut en funktionsduglig aktiv-subwoofer.

2. musicbox M är akustiskt ogynnsamt placerad. 2. Ställ (om möjligt) upp systemet på en annan plats (t.ex. närmare väggen).

3. Basnivån i menyn är inställd på ett värde

< 0 dB.

3. Anpassa basnivån i menyn "Bass" enligt anvisningen på sidan 16.

4. Användning av en extern subwoofer med fel fasläge (fasanpassning) mellan de interna bashögtalarna och extern subwoofer.

4. Korrigera fasläget hos den externa subwoofern för anpassning mot de interna bashögtalarna eller ändra positionen hos den externa subwoofern.

1. Basnivån i menyn "Klaninginställning" är inställd på ett värde > 0 dB.

1. Anpassa basnivån i menyn "Bass" på det sätt som beskrivs på sidan 16.

2. Lyssna med hög volym och extra aktiverad "Bass expand".

2. Ställ "bass expand" på "Off" på det sätt som beskrivs på sidan 16.

3. Användning av en extern subwoofer med för mycket nivå.

3. Säll in subwoofern korrekt (med lägre nivå).

4. Systemet är akustiskt ogynnsamt placerat. 4. Ställ (om möjligt) upp systemet på en annan plats

(t.ex. längre bort från väggen).

Information for “normal use”

The musicbox M is designed for indoor use and must not be used outdoors or in wet con ditions. The musicbox M must not be modiﬁed or altered in any way. Connect the musicbox M up as described in the instructions and pay attention to the warning notices. Only operate the device with the mains voltage and frequency speciﬁed on the rating plate.

Information about environmentally friendly operation (Use the stand-by function to minimise electricity usage and operating costs)

To reduce the power consumption of the musicbox M when not in use, press the “POWER” button . This “saves electricity” and reduces your electricity bill. Use the mains switch on the backside to power down the musicbox M completely. This reduces the power consumption to 0 watt.

Observe that all electrical components are switched off before connection. Depending on type and equipment of the sources used, there are different options of connecting the musicbox M.

Input (analogue)

The input marked “LINE” at the musicbox M can be used to connect a source device with analogue line outputs (e.g. CD player, gaming console, etc.).

Input (digital input)

The digital input marked “PCM Audio, Digital Input” at the musicbox M can be used to connect any source device with optical digital output (e. g. TV, Sat receiver, BD player, etc.). Assign the optical digital output of your supplying device for this.

ATTENTION: Observe correct setting of the connected device. The musicbox M can only play back sound when you have selected “PCM-Stereo” or “PCMDownmix” in the sound menu of your supply device. “DT S

” or “Dolby Digital®” coded output

formats (Bitstream or RAW) cannot be played back. If you have any questions on settings, use the instructions of your supply device.

The musicbox M has a multifunction display that lights up blue for about 5 seconds when the remote control sends a command. The possible displays and their meanings are listed here. The standby mode is presented by the power button with red light on the top of the musicbox M.

Use shorter signal lines.

2. Signal line used is not shielded or shield is interrupted at the line used (defective).

3. Earthing loop (ground loop) “generated”. An earthing loop may result when at least two devices

connected with signal lines (cinch) with protective contact plug (e. g. ampliﬁer and computer) are connected to locally separated sockets. Connect all devices connected to the musicbox M with protective contact plug to the socket strip (multiple outlet).

4. A consumer without interference suppression (e.g. fridge) at the mains.

Switch off possible interference sources for testing; have interference suppression applied to the respective device if the hum vanishes or connect the inference source to another mains phase ﬁrst (L1, L2 or L3) (bring in a specialist if required). Switch a special “jacket current ﬁlter” (available in specialist trade) between source device and musicbox M to eliminate the hum. Turn the mains plug to reduce the so-called ripple voltage (particularly important if the source device is not earthed).

Display is dark. Function DISP is set to “Off”. Select another value then “Off” (see page 39).

Device permanently shows “CANTON”.

Internal microphone controller has crashed. Switch the device off and on again at the mains plug.

RDS display incorrect. Reception interference. Change the position of the antenna and check its

GARANTI

Utöver den enligt lag föreskrivna garantin lämnar Canton en garanti på fem år på alla passivhögtalare. För alla aktivhögtalare och delaktiva boxar lämnas två års garanti. Garantitiden börjar löpa vid köpet och gäller endast för den första köparen. Ett garantianspråk kan endast göras gällande om originalförpackningen används. Garantin omfattar inte transportskador och skador som orsakats av felaktig användning. Garantianspråket förlängs inte genom utbyte av komponenter som utförs inom garantitiden. Detta gäller för alla högtalare som köps hos en auktoriserad Canton fackhandel. Kontakta vid en skada denna fackhandel eller vänd dig direkt till Canton Service.

GUARANTEE

Above and beyond the legally prescribed warrant y period Canton offers a guarantee of ﬁve years on all its passive loudspeakers. A two-year guarantee is of fered for active speakers and partially active boxes. The guarantee period begins at the time of purchase and only applies to the purcha ser. Guarantee claims will only be accepted if accompanied by the original packaging. The guarantee does not cover damages incurred in transit or damages caused by improper use. The guarantee is not extended if parts are exchanged within the period covered by the guarantee. This applies to all loudspeakers purcha sed from an authorised Canton dealer. In the event of damage please contac t your dealer or the Canton Service department direct.
