colour printing: the durable i-SENSYS LBP5360

Amstelveen, The Netherlands, 23 January, 2007: Canon today announces the

addition of the LBP5360 to its i-SENSYS range of laser printe rs. The r obust, hi gh­specification colour desktop laser printer features fast Auto-Duplex printing, built-in
networking and PCL 5e and PCL 6 support. The LBP5360 comes with 128MB of
RAM as standard, upgradeable to a maximum of 384MB with optional memory
upgrades of 128MB and 256MB, or with the addition of a 20GB Hard Disk Drive
(HDD). This advanced functionality makes the LBP5360 ideal for high-end
workgroups in even the busiest networked offices. The LBP5360 is Canon’s
flagship i-SENSYS colour printer, sitting above the LBP5000, LBP5100 and
LBP5300.

Simple, convenient design

The LBP5360 is simple to operate, with all job control, paper loading, monitoring
and maintenance tasks easily carried out from the front of the machine. A small
footprint and compact size is possible with Canon’s vertical in-line engine, allowing
for easy placement in offices with limited space. The LBP5360 has a 250 sheet
cassette and 100 sheet multi-purpose tray as standard. An optional 500 sheet
cassette gives a maximum capacity of 850 sheets.

Easy Integration into Networked Environments

The LBP5360’s built-in network interface card and Remote User Interface (RUI)
makes it easy for printer functions to be shared with multiple users, as well as
allowing easy printer management via an internet browser. Canon’s own UFR II
Page Description Language provides fast rendering and processing. With PCL
support as standard, the LBP5360 integrates easily into existing PCL printing
environments.

Quick First Print

The LBP5360 offers a quick first print time, made possible by a combination of key
Canon technologies. The ceramic heater within the LBP5360 transmits heat
instantly to the fixing roller resulting in zero warm-up time from sleep mode. Canon
S Toner is optimised for the Color On-Demand Fixing process. The end result is
high quality output with no waiting.

Built in Auto-Duplex printing

The LBP5360 features built-in Auto-Duplexing as standard, bringing a range of
cost cutting and time saving benefits. Double-sided prints can be easily achieved
via the user-friendly driver interface, saving on paper and time spent in front of the
machine. Print times are maintained due to the Auto-Dupl ex un i t ’ s abil i t y to ha nd l e
up to 3 sheets of paper simultaneously. Auto-Duplex results in more professional
looking documents and allows users to create a diverse range of printed materials,
such as high quality booklets.

Optional Hard Disk Drive

The Optional 20GB HDD is ideal for use in busy networked environments and
