The PS ONE is designed for the use with devices with "native" Ethernet interface. This system management offers the opportunity to configure numerous peripherals such as automatic pay stations, entry and exit units, entrances for permit holders, pedestrian readers and manned pay stations.
Realisation of a pay-to-park system must account for specific features in order to achieve maximum usability and safety of use. For example:
- consider all spaces and radii of vehicle manoeuvre. The entrance must comprise a space to station the vehicle in a convenient manner for taking a ticket. We recommend a minimum distance of 2.8 m between the entrance unit and the barrier;
- Provide for pedestrian transit lanes clearly marked by vertical and horizontal signs to prevent accidents and make pedestrian entrances and exits fast and orderly.
- Always evaluate the morphology of the site (e.g. gradients, areas with poor visibility, moving parts), to avoid collisions, dangerous manoeuvres or danger to people. If necessary report potential risks with stripes, signs, mirrors, photocells and sensors.
Important: Ethernet connections must be ad hoc, tested and certified 10/100Mbit. Verify the static IP addresses to be assigned to devices with your network administrator. Assess the effectiveness of your Internet connection, which is essential for taking advantage of remote services (e.g. remote assistance, reservations, monitoring, sending and managing alarms)
Caution! Ensure that the protective devices against overcurrent, short circuits and earth faults in primary circuits, are
installed and properly sized upstream of the system considered here.

10.1 Preparing the entrance and exit unit
The following illustrations are only examples, given that the space for securing the entrance and exit units and accessories varies depending on the overall dimensions. The installation technician is responsible for choosing the most suitable solution.
- Assemble the 4 anchor bolts to the plate.
-
Perform excavation for the foundation slab where to fi x the
mounting plate. Recommended minimum size: 800x500x500 mm, taking into account the raised base (see dimensions on p. 8). NOTE: The mounting plate is to be cemented on the raised base of 120 mm from the road surface. Set up corrugated tubes for the connections coming from the junction box. N.B. the tube diameter depends on the type of system installed and any accessories.
- Remove nuts and washers from the protruding bolts, place the cabinet on the base and secure it.
Note: Install the cabinet with the inspection door facing the easiest to reach direction.
-
Fill the hole with concrete * and immerse the fi xing base (= plate +
brackets) making sure that the corrugated tubing protrude through the hole arranged on the plate and id not fi lled with cement. Fit the corrugated tubes into the left hole with the power supply and ground while fi tting the Ethernet connection and accessories into the right hole. The base must be perfectly level, fully resting on the concrete surface, clean on all sides and with the screw threads fully on the surface. Wait for everything to solidify for at least 24 hours.
