Thank you for purchasing this C500 Control Amplifier.
At Cambridge Audio we are dedicated to the manufacture

Coupled with its perfect partner, the P500 Power
Amplifier, your C500 is capable of true hi-end performance
without the inflated price tag normally associated with
hi-end equipment. We have achieved this by careful
design, thorough attention to detail, streamlined
production techniques and by listening to our customers.

The C500 design adheres to the principles of true hi-fi.
High precision, low noise, shielded pre-amplifier circuits,
utilising stabilised power supplies, result in an amplifier
with a staggering price performance ratio. Signal paths
within the amplifier are all as short as possible and together
with a direct switch that bypasses the tone controls, the
topology is fully optimised to give a great sound stage and
dynamic, freely flowing sound.
Inclusions such as a custom designed high efficiency audio
grade transformer, metal film resistors, multiple audio
grade capacitors and a high quality, unity gain, low noise
output buffer further reinforce this amplifiers audiophile
identity.
Completing its impressive specification, the C500 has a
specially selected high quality volume potentiometer, bass
and treble controls, five line-level inputs and a tape monitor
function. For your armchair convenience we also supply
an SRC-01 Remote Control to adjust the volume on your
C500 and control other Cambridge Audio products such
as a CD Player and Tuner.
No corners have been cut concerning build quality, with
the amplifier’s solid aluminium facia not only providing a
classy finish, but also contributing to overall chassis rigidity.
