Important Instructions
WARNING
When using electrical appliances, basic precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of re, electric shock, and injury to
persons. If you are uncomfortable working with electrical appliances, unable to follow these guidelines, or do not have the necessary equipment; consult a licensed electrician. All steps must be followed.
Installation Instructions
NOTE: Before mounting the surface wall can, please read your original product Owner’s Guide or go to cadetheat.com for your heater’s minimum placement clearances.
STEP 1
Mount the Surface Wall Can
Review the surface wall can label for correct direction (as noted by the UP arrows) before mounting. In the vertical mounting position the element of the heater assembly will be at the top. In the horizontal mounting position the element of the heater assembly will be to the left.
Mount the surface wall can securely to the wall, using appropriate wall fasteners (not included). Refer to your original product Own-
er’s Guide for minimum heater clearances from oor, adjacent
walls and ceiling.
STEP 3
Install Heater Assembly and Grill
STEP 2
Feed supply wires through a conduit connector (not included), leaving 14 inches of wire. Remove a knockout in the surface wall can closest to the supply wires. Install a strain relief connector (not included) in the surface wall can knockout. Feed supply wires through the strain relief connector in the surface wall can and secure them. Connect supply ground wire to grounding screw.
NOTE: All wiring outside of the surface wall can must be protected by conduit or other approved devices.
Route Supply Wires
Install heater assembly and grill or decorative cover kit according to the installation instructions included in your original product Owner’s Guide.
