views
stored procedures

Email

Quick Installation and Deployment Guide for Broadcast Agent Publisher 5
Your email server configuration depends on the mailing system you want to use to broadcast publications.
Microsoft Exchange
To use the SMAPI mailer component with Microsoft Exchange as your mailing system, you must:
Install Microsoft Outlook on the same machine as Recipient Manager.
Define an Exchange profile to be used in Recipient Manager.
Install Microsoft Outlook on each cluster node that may be used for
broadcasting.
Define an Exchange profile with the same name as defined above to be used
on every cluster node. This profile must use the same Windows account as the one that identifies the
BusObj.exe Automation Server on the cluster nodes. (You can find this using the Service Parameters in the Configuration tool.)
CDO Component for Microsoft Exchange
To collect email addresses using Microsoft Exchange, you must have the CDO (Collaboration Data Objects) component installed. CDO is a scripting interface that enables Recipient Manager to communicate with Exchange.
If you are using Windows 2000, you may find that you need to re-install the component on your computer.
Lotus Domino
To use the Domino mailer component with Lotus Domino as your mailing system, you must:
Install Lotus Notes on the same machine as Recipient Manager.
Define a Domino profile to be used in Recipient Manager.
Install Lotus Notes with a valid user on each cluster node that may be used
