Codes in your output.
To create the Delivery Sequence Invoice report, include the Report: Delivery

Processing notesWhen you walk sequence your mail with ACE, remember the following points:
Batch only. DSF
2
sequencing is available only in batch mode. You cannot
assign sequence numbers in Quick ACE, for example.
No posting to input file. If you are sequencing, you must post to a non-
delimited output file. You cannot post walk-sequence numbers to the input
file.
Filters. Do not fil ter on AP.Walk_Seq to create multiple output files. Also, do
not filter on AP.Walk_Seq in the Copy parameter.
DSF
2
output. The ACE output file (from DSF2 processing) correctly outputs
zeros (0000) for ZIP+4 assignments that do not receive a DPV confirmation.
However, Postalsoft Presort software expects a blank. If you are using
Postalsoft Presort, change these 0s to a blank in your output. If you don’t do
this, you might receive postal discounts that you are not eligible for because
of differences in walk-sequence field values between ACE and Presort.
File changes? Reprocess! If your data changes in any way, you mu st re-
assign sequence numbers. Sequence numbers are valid only for the data file
as you process it at the time.
False positives. When ACE encounters a false positive in a DSF2 job that is
!
set up for sequencing, it locks DPV processing and does not sequence the
output file. ACE adds the following message to the DPV lock section in the
Job Summary Report:
DSF2 walk-sequence

“Output files were not sequenced because DPV was locked.”
ACE outputs walk-sequence information to the following fields. If you want to
assign walk-sequence numbers, these fields must be present in your output file.

When licensing is in place, you will be able to order this for-sale option.
With Suite
Link
you can build accurate and complete addresses by adding suite
numbers to high-rise business addresses. With the secondary address information
added to your addresses, more of your pieces are sorted by delive ry sequence and
delivered with accuracy and speed.
Link
Access to Suite
data is available through ACE Views, Job, Library, and
Printform ACE as an add-on feature.
Suite
Link
is a USPS directory. It contains multiple files of specially indexed
information like secondary numbers and unit designators for high-rise buildings.
Link
ACE uses the data in the Suite
product to add suite numbers to an address.
ACE matches a company name, a known high-rise address, and the CASS-
Link
certified ZIP+4 in your database to data in Suite
. When there is a match, ACE
creates a complete business address that includes the suite number.
Note: ACE uses the firm information from the PW.FIRM field. If there is
nothing in the PW.FIRM field, ACE checks any multiline input fields that
are present (for example, LINE1-LINE12). This information is generally
found in the AP.Extra9 and AP.Extra10 fields.
Look at the AP.Input_Firm field to see what firm ACE used.
