INSTALLING
THE
INSTRUMENT
IMPORTANT
The
record
player
is
spring mounted
to
eliminate feedback from
the
loudspeakers.
In
transit,
the
motor
baseboard
is
held securely
against
the
cabinet
by
means
of a
rubber
buffer
placed
on the
turn-
table spindle.
The
rubber
buffer
should
be
removed from
the
spindle
and
placed
in the
stowage position
in the lid
(see Fig.
1)
before
using
the
record
player.
MAINS SUPPLY
WARNING
The
mains lead (Fig.
1)
must
be
connected
to a
three-pin
plug
in
ttae
following
manner:—
Red
lead
to
live
terminal
Black
lead
to
neutral terminal
Green
lead
to
earth terminal
Under
no
circumstances should
the
green lead
be
connected
to
any
terminal
other than
the
earth terminal.
If
the
mains
socket
in use is not of the
three-pin
type,
the
dealer
or a qualified
electrician
should
be
consulted.
Connections
made
by
an
unskilled
person
may
prove
fatal.
