Buffalo’s TeraStation™ 5010 series has been built for small and medium sized businesses seeking an easy and cost-effective 10GbE
platform. The TS5010 is a network attached storage (NAS) solution
with iSCSI protocol designed to move SMB data at enterprise level
speeds and eliminate the bottlenecks that can occur on slower
networks.
Thanks to its powerful hardware the TS5010 series can run multiple
concurrent services seamlessly with minimal performance degradation, and is ideal for organizations looking to add an affordable
virtualized storage to their business network. Branch offices no
longer need full-scale server infrastructure for simple tasks such as
file sharing and backup.

Quad-Core processor
In combination with Buffalo’s 10GbE business switches the quad
core processor featuring TS5010 reaches faster than ever data
transfer speeds. The series comes populated with NAS- or enterprise nearline (TS51210RH) grade HDD and is available in 2-,4- or
8-bay desktop and 4- or 12-bay rackmount configurations.
The 8- and 12-bay versions come fully populated or partially
populated with four hard drives, thus giving companies the flexibility to start with a smaller initial investment and increase the total
capacity when the need arises in the future. The 2-bay TS5210DF
is equipped with SSDs and therefore highly shock-/vibration-proof
and extremely fast.
