Getting Started
We know yo u’re keen to get s tarted w ith BT Busi ness Mobil e Broadband , so please fo llow these s teps
in the ex act order s hown below.
Step 1: In sert the SI M into your USB M odem
To get st arted, yo u need to press and slide the cover and then i nsert your SIM card int o the USB Modem .

Step 2: In sert the US B Modem and in stall the B T Access Man ager soft ware
You’ll nee d to have your lap top switc hed on befor e you plug the US B Modem in.

What is B T Access Ma nager?
BT Acce ss Manager a llows you to co nnect your la ptop to the In ternet usi ng Ethern et, Wi-Fi,
inclu ding your BT Bu siness Hub, B T Wi-fi*and th e BT Mobile Br oadband ne twork (HSPA , 3G, GPRS).
*Eth ernet and Wi- Fi connec tions not ava ilable on Mac .

Step 3: Co nnect to th e internet
You have a cho ice of how to make t his first co nnection t o complete t he setup.
i. If you’r e in range of a Wi- Fi networ k, you can conn ect using W i-Fi.
Pleas e note: Wi-F i connect ions not avai lable on Mac.
ii. If you ar e out and abou t in an area wit h a mobile signa l, you can conn ect to the BT M obile net work.

1. Make sure you’r e in range of a Wi-F i signal. Th is could be fro m
your BT B usiness Hu b (or similar
hots pot, for ex ample. If con necting to a p rivate Wi- Fi signal
ensur e the router i s switche d on and workin g. Make a note of
the Wi reless Net work Name ( SSID) and Wir eless Key. Th is may
be foun d on your route r.
2. Double clic k the BT Acce ss Manager ic on on your desk top –
when th e circular da shboard sc reen appear s, click on t he
centr al button t o connect .

1. Make sure you’r e in an area which h as a mobile sig nal.
2. PC users: D ouble click t he BT Access M anager ico n on your desk top. When the c ircular das hboard
scree n appears , click on the Mo bile icon
