MANUAL OUTSIDE
AIR DAMPER PACKAGE
These instructions cover the installation of the manual out
side air damper package on sizes 090 through 360 of Models
559C, 579C, and 599C. The manual outside air damper
package consists of an adjustable damper factory-as
sembled in a rainhood and birdscreen assembly (air intake
box)

Table I lists the components of each package and the pack
age part number for each size of all modells. Refer to Figure
1 for air intake box dimensions. The unit opening (dimen
sions D and E) for intake of outside air is also shown in
Figure 1.

Installation Procedure
1 Remove cover over outside air opening in unit rear
panel.
2. Remove unit top mounting screws that are directly
above unit outside air opening.
3 Place top flange of air intake box under unit top flange.
See Figure 2.
4 Position air intake box over outside air opening so
holes in top and side flanges of air intake box line up
with holes in each side and above outside air opening.
5. Attach air intake box to unit with screws supplied in
package.
6. Adjust air intake damper as required and tighten
damper adjustment screws See Figure 2.
