Optimal shaving performance
If using an electric shaver for the first time, please bear in mind that your skin may need about two weeks to become fully accustomed to the new shaving method.
Foil/cutterblock replacement
The shaver foil and cutterblock are precision parts that, in time, are subject to wear. This wear is dependent on your shaving method are beard type. To maintain optimal shaving performance you should consider replacing the foil and cutterblock when worn. This will ensure that you are getting the close, comfortable shave you expect from your Braun shaver.
Braun and the environment
For environmental reasons, your shaver uses an «environmentally sound» nickel-hydride recharging cell unit. The cell unit does not contain any poisonous heavy metals that can damage the environment.
In the interest of recycling, please do not dispose of this appliance in the household
waste at the end of its useful life. Instead, dispose of at an authorized Braun Service Center or at an appropriate collection site.
Caution: The opening of the shaver, as described in the following instruction, must be done onl
y at the end of the useful life of the shaver, since the shaver is thus being destroyed: For easy recycling this shaver is equipped with a screw mechanism in the plug socket. Perforating the seal and turning this mechanism opens the housing of the shaver. It is recommended, however, to take the shaver to a Braun Service Center for this purpose.

The shaver automatically adapts to all international direct and alternating current voltages (12–240 V) and all frequencies. The shaver can also be recharged on voltages below international standards in cars and boats, etc. However, a minimum 12 V outlet (direct or alternating current) is required. Recharging this way takes approximately 20 hours, and requires a special charging cord.
The surrounding temperature should not be higher than 77 ° F / + 25 °C when recharging at 12 V, to ensure proper functioning of the shaver.
A full charge will give you approximately 35 minutes of cordless shaving. The shaving time, however, depends on the strength and thickness of your beard and the use of the longhair trimmer
