Key Installation Benefits
Value Driven Performance
• Optimized for small, sealed enclosures. Like the G5 and G2, only 1.0ft.3is required for the 12-inch, and 0.5ft.3for the 10-inch
• Slim chassis design allows G1 to fit where others cannot such as truck boxes and slim enclosures
• Integral sealing gaskets simplify both standard and inverted mounting
• Multiple enclosure types and tuning options make it possible for G1 woofers to be tailored to any application
Introducing the newest member of the Boston Acoustics subwoofer family—the G1. G1 woofers sport a 2-inch, 4-Layer voice coil, patented RadialVent®cooling, and unique SureSet™impedance selection/overdrive protection; features that not only allow the woofer to handle more power but also add a level of reliability not available from competitors at any price point. Like all Boston subwoofers, G1 uses an extremely efficient design allowing for high output with small to moderate power amplifiers. Most importantly
, with a depth of only 4 3⁄4-inches for the 10-inch and 5-inches for the 12-inch, its shallow design helps G1 fit where other woofers won't, such as truck boxes. Add in stunning design, high-end features like spring loaded terminals, and the flexibility to work with multiple enclosure types and you have a subwoofer that redefines entry level.
ingle or dual 4-ohm voice coil versions
S
G1 subwoofers are available in both single 4-ohm or dual 4-ohm versions, allowing the user to optimize the impedance load to the amplifier, regardless of the number of subwoofers used in the system.
2-inch voice coil
The G1 uses a 2-inch, four-layer voice coil for great power handling,
ncommonly large for its price point.
u
Patented RadialVent®cooling
Integrated vents and the woofer’s own pistonic action re-circulate fresh cooling air around the woofer voice coil. As a result, it can handle more power.
SureSet
Using mini ATC fuses, the SureSet™system allows for simple impedance selection (dual 4-ohm only) as well as momentary overdrive protection.
Rugged input terminals
Spring loaded input terminals accept bare 8-gauge wire or pin connectors.
