this Tool Technical Data manual and the separate Safety and Operating Instruction Manual which come
with this tool. Failure to do so could result in you or others in the working area to be seriously injured.

m WARNING! Eye protection in accordance with 89/686/EEC, and with equal or greater grade than defined in
EN166 should be used. However all aspects of operators work, environment and other type/s of machinery being
used, should also be considered when selecting any personal protection equipment. Note: Non-side shielded
spectacles and face shields alone do not provide adequate protection.

m WARNING! To prevent accidental injuries:

l Never place a hand or any other part of the body in fastener discharge area of tool.
l Never point tool at yourself or anyone whether it contains fasteners or not.
l Never engage in horseplay.
l Never pull the trigger unless the nose is directed towards the work.
l Always handle the tool with care.
l This tool is intended to be used for fastening wood to wood in pallet/crate and construction applications.

DO NOT USE for fastening harder materials which could cause buckling of the fasteners and damage to
the tool. If you are unsure of the suitability of this tool for certain applications, please contact your local

l Do not pull the trigger or depress the trip mechanism whilst loading the tool.
l To prevent accidental actuation and possible injury, always disconnect air supply:

1. Before making adjustments. 2. When servicing the tool. 3. When clearing a jam. 4. When tool is not in use. 5.
When moving to a different work area, as accidental actuation may occur, possibly causing injury.

LOADING THE TOOL

1. Open the magazine: Pull down on the latch and swing the door open (Fig. A). Swing magazine cover open.

(Fig. B).

2. Check adjustment: the nailer must be set for the length of nail to be used. Nails will not feed smoothly if the

magazine is not correctly adjusted.
To change the setting:
The magazine contains an adjustable nail platform on which the nail coil rests. The nail platform can be

adjusted up and down to several nail settings. To change settings, pull up on the post and twist to the correct
step. (Fig. B)

3. Load the coil of nails: Place the coil of nails over the post in the magazine. Uncoil enough nails to reach the

feed pawl. Place the first nail in front of the front tooth on the feed pawl, in the driver channel. The nail heads

must be in the slot in the nose. (Fig. C and Fig. D)

4. Swing cover closed: Swing the door/magazine cover closed. Check that the latch engages when released. (If

it does not engage, check that the nail heads are in the slot in the nose.)

Removal of plastic strip: As nails are driven, the plastic strip will feed out of the tool. When sufficient strip has
been fed out, it can be torn away by pulling against the tear edge in the nose. (Fig. E)

“DIAL-A-DEPTH™” FASTENER CONTROL ADJUSTMENT (Fig. F)

The DIAL-A-DEPTH™ Fastener Control adjustment feature provides close control of the fastener drive depth;
from flush with the work surface to shallow or deep countersink. First, set the air pressure for consistent drive in
the specific work, then use the DIAL-A-DEPTH™ Fastener Control adjustment to give the desired depth of drive.

DIRECTIONAL EXHAUST DEFLECTOR (Fig. G)

The adjustable exhaust deflector can be rotated to any desired position by hand without the use of any tools.

UTILITY HOOK (Fig H)

These tools may include an additional utility hook suitable for storage and temporary hanging of the tool.

CHARGEMENT DE L’OUTIL

1. Ouverture du chargeur : Tirer le blocage vers le bas et ouvrir la porte. Ouvrir le couvercle du chargeur. (Fig. A)

2. Vérifier le réglage : il doit être conforme à la longueur du clou utilisé. L’avance des clous dans le chargeur ne sera

pas synchronisée si le réglage n’est pas correct.
Pour changer de réglage :
Le chargeur comprend une plate-forme réglable pour les clous sur laquelle repose la bobine de clous. Il y a trois

positions de hauteur de la plate-forme. Pour changer de hauteur, tirer sur la tige et tourner jusqu’au réglage correct.

3. Chargement de la bobine de clous : Placer la bobine de clous sur la tige dans le chargeur. Dérouler une quantité
de clous suffisante pour alimenter le cliquet. Placer le premier clou devant la dent avant du cliquet d’avancement
dans le chenal de déclencheur. Les têtes des clous doivent se trouver dans la fente du bec. (Fig. C et Fig. D)

4. Refermer le couvercle : Refermer la porte/couvercle du chargeur. Vérifier que le loquet s’enclenche
automatiquement. (Sinon, vérifier que les têtes des clous sont bien dans la fente du bec.)

Enlèvement de la bande plastique : Au fur et à mesure de l’utilisation des clous, la bande plastique sort de l’outil.
Lorsqu’une longueur suffisante est sortie, il suffit de la déchirer en tirant contre le bord aigu du bec. (Fig. E)

LE REGULATEUR DE PROFONDEUR “DIAL-A-DEPTH™” (Fig. F)

Le régulateur de profondeur DIAL-A-DEPTH™ fournit un contrôle précis de la profondeur d’enfoncement de
la fixation: à ras de la surface de la pièce usinée, légèrement ou profondément enfoncé. Etalonner d’abord la
pression de l’air comprimé pour une pénétration constante du matériel à fixer puis utiliser le régulateur DIAL-A-
DEPTH™ pour obtenir la profondeur d’enfoncement désirée.

DEFLECTEUR D’AIR ORIENTABLE (Fig. G)

Pour orienter l’échappement d’air il suffit de le tourner dans la position souhaitée, flèches.

CROCHET DE SUSPENSION (Fig. H)

Ces outils peuvent inclure un crochet supplémentaire permettant de les ranger temporairement ou de les accrocher.

Arbeitsbereich die Gefahr schwerer Verletzungen.

m ACHTUNG! Es sollte ein Augenschutz gemäß 89/686/EEC und mindestens lt. Definition in EN166
getragen werden. Bei der Wahl der persönlichen Schutzausrüstung sind jedoch auch sämtliche
Aspekte der von Bedienern geleisteten Arbeit, Umgebung und sonstiger benutzter Maschinentypen zu

l Dieses Werkzeug wurde zur Befestigung von Holz auf Holz für Arbeiten an Paletten/Kisten und beim

Bauhandwerk entwickelt. Dieses Werkzeug sollte NICHT zur Befestigung härterer Werkstoffe verwendet
werden, da dies dazu führen kann, dass sich die Befestigungselemente verbiegen, was wiederum das
Werkzeug selbst beschädigen könnte. Falls Sie nicht sicher sind, ob dieses Werkzeug für bestimmte

l Nicht den Abzug oder den Auslösemechanismus während des Ladens des Gerätes ziehen.

BELADEN DES MAGAZINS

1. Das Magazin öffnen: An der Klinke nach unten ziehen und die Tür aufschwenken. Magazinabdeckung
aufschwenken. (Abb. A)

2. Einstellung überprüfen: der Nagler muss auf die Länge des zu verwendenden Nagels eingestellt werden. Nägel
werden nicht gleichmäßig zugeführt, wenn das Magazin nicht richtig eingestellt ist.

Änderung der Einstellung:
Das Magazin enthält eine verstellbare Nagelplattform, auf welcher die Nagelspule ruht. Die Nagelplattform kann drei

Nageleinstellungen entsprechend nach oben oder unten justiert werden. Zur Änderung von Einstellungen am Pfosten
nach oben ziehen und auf die richtige Stufe drehen. (Abb. B)

3. Die Nagelspule einlegen: Die Spule mit Nägeln über den Pfosten im Magazin setzen. Genug Nägel zum
Erreichen der Schaltklinke loswickeln. Den ersten Nagel vor dem Frontzahn an der Schaltklinke, im Treiberkanal,
positionieren. Die Nagelköpfe müssen sich im Schlitz in der Nase befinden. (Abb. C und Abb. D)

4. Abdeckung zuschwenken: Die Tür-/Magazinabdeckung zuschwenken. Prüfen, dass die Klinke beim Loslassen
eingreift. (Wenn sie nicht eingreift, prüfen, dass sich die Nagelköpfe im Schlitz in der Nase befinden.)

Ausbau des Kunststoffstreifens: Während Nägel eingetrieben werden, wird der Kunststoffstreifen aus dem Werkzeug
ausgegeben. Wenn genug Streifen ausgegeben wurde, kann er durch Ziehen gegen die Abreißkante in der Nase
abgerissen werden. (Abb. E)

SENKUNGSREGLER “DIAL-A-DEPTH™” (Abb. F)

Durch den Senkungsregler DIAL-A-DEPTH™ wird eine präzise Kontrolle der Senkungstiefe der Klammern erzielt
und eine Gleichstellung mit der Oberfläche des zu bearbeitenden Teils von leicht bis ganz eingesenkt erreicht.
Zuerst den Druckwert der Druckluft für ein konstantes Eintreiben in das zu befestigende Material eichen, dann
den DIAL-A-DEPTH™ Regler zum Einstellen der gewünschten Einsenkung einsetzen.

LUFTAUSRICHTUNGSDEFLEKTOR (Abb.G)

Zur Ausrichtung des Ablasses genügt es, diesen in die gewünschte Stellung zu bringen, Pfeile.

AUFHÄNGEHAKEN (Abb. H)

Diese Geräte werden ggf. mit zusätzlichem Haken für die Aufbewahrung und das Aufhängen des Geräts geliefert.
ACHTUNG! Den Aufhängehaken niemals dazu gebrauchen, das Gerät am Körper oder Gürtel, bzw. an anderen

Kleidungsstücken aufzuhängen.
