Subject: Bass module capacitor C48 defective.
Symptom: No Audio
Disposition: On all Companion 5 bass modules built between 4/23/2007 (DOM 7113) and 6/3/2007 (DOM 7154),

replace capacitor C48 with a new part. The date code is embedded in the 17 digit serial number located on the
bass module product label. The DOM is the four underlined numbers.

This capacitor is located on the bass module DSP PCB assembly. The Bose part number is 261614-472HB3,
and it is a 4700uF, 50V electrolytic cap. Refer to the schematic and board layout below.
