Product: AV28 Media Center sold with Lifestyle® 28 Home Entertainment System and Lifestyle® 35 Home

Entertainment System.

Subject: The barrel of the AM connector may touch the EMI conductive coating on the base of the console.

Disposition: AV28 Media Centers with a Date of Manufacture (DOM) before April 2003.

Symptom: Reduced AM performance.

Reason: The barrel of the AM connector may touch the EMI conductive coating on the base of the console,

degrading AM tuner rejection of some types of interference from electrical devices.

Solution: When reassembling AV28 Media Centers manufactured before April 2003, make sure the barrel of
the AM connector is not touching the EMI conductive coating on the base of the console. Cut to size a piece of
electrical tape and place it around the barrel of the AM connector to ensure it will not contact the EMI conduc­tive coating on the base of the console. Ensure the tape has limited visibility from the exterior of the unit.

Note: The DOM is the four underlined numbers in the serial number.
Example: DOM 3118 = 118th day of 2003. This would be April 30th 2003.
