Subject: Cabinet Buzz

Disposition: Check all 802 series III speakers for a loose input label plate.

The adhesive used on the input label plate was defective and can cause buzzing. Follow the
instructions below for securing the plate to the cabinet. Refer to the figure on the back of this
bulletin.

1. Using a right angle scribe/pick, gently place the tip of the tool behind the plate
where it has come loose and pull the plate forward enough to reach behind it with
the glue applicator. Take care not to bend the plate.

2. Using Loctite primer #770, place a spot of primer onto the cabinet under the
corners of the plate. Allow a minute for the primer to dry.

3. Place a spot of Loctite 454 gel instant adhesive onto the same spot as the primer.

4. Push the plate down onto the adhesive and apply pressure for approximately one minute.

Wipe off any excess adhesive from the plate area that might have been pushed out.
The adhesive will completely set within 24 hours.

Note: Refer to the directions on the Loctite primer and glue for proper use.
