Model DRZ120

The Bogen DRZ120 is a unique, self-contained 6-zone music and paging system for small- to medium-sized applications. It combines a digital FM tuner / MP3 player with seven (7) MIC & LINE inputs. It has a 120-watt amplifier capable of driving 4-16 ohm or 70-volt speake

systems.

The DRZ120 permits connection of up to six individual paging and music zones. The DRZ120 also features Bass and Treble controls and a 5-segment LED output signal level indicator. The built-in FM tuner uses

a PLL synthesizer to provide accurate frequency selection. MP3 audio can be played from files (.mp3 & .wav) accessed via the USB or SD card slots on the front panel.

The MIC1 Input can be set for VOX-activated override/muting of the other audio inputs. Additionally, there is a push-button activated Chime feature that produces a short, melodic series of four ascending bell-like alert tones which are played across all outputs.

Specifications

The music and paging system shall be the Bogen DRZ120, a selfcontained, 6-zone music and paging system for small- to mediumsized applications. It shall combine an FM digital tuner, MP3 player, and up to seven (7) separate microphone and line-level inputs. It shall be capable of driving 4-16 ohm or 70-volt speaker systems, with a 120-watt total output. It shall also include a separate line-level post-mix AUX Output with RCA jacks to drive other amplifiers or recorders.

The unit shall include an Infrared Remote Controller for FM tuner and MP3 player control, including: volume control, TUNER/MP3 select button, preset and scan channel selection, USB/SD media select, MP3 play / pause/ forward / backward options, and EQ mode selection (none, Classic, Jazz, Rock, Bass & Pop). The MP3 player shall support both .mp3 and .wav files.

The Remote Control shall select between the FM tuner or MP3 inputs as a music program source. The LINE inputs shall consist of mono-summing RCA jacks to accept line-level signal from a CD player or other audio source. The secondary MIC inputs shall consist of one (1) XLR connector and two (2) screw-terminal EuroBlock connectors. Bass and Treble controls shall be provided to adjust the audio program level and include a 5-segment LED output signal level indicator. Individual signal level controls for each MIC and LINE input shall also be provided.

The built-in FM tuner shall use a PLL synthesizer to provide accurate frequency/station selection. A back-lit LCD display shall be provided to display frequency readout. Auto station search, auto presets, as well as manual tuning shall be available. It shall be possible to program over 800 FM preset stations. Both USB and SD card inputs shall be available as MP3 program sources.

An primary microphone input on the front panel shall accept a balanced Lo-Z microphone. Input connection shall utilize a 1/4” TRS phone plug connector. A microphone volume control shall be provided. This primary microphone input shall also include VOX-activated mute function for priority override of the program audio. The muting level of the program audio during override shall be adjustable. It shall also be possible to supply telephone line input to the unit when an accessory transformer (Model WMT1A) is used.

The DRZ120 shall permit connection of up to six (6) individual zone outputs. These zone outputs shall support direct connection of 70-volt speaker systems. A separate 4-16 ohm Speaker Output shall be provided using binding post connectors.

The DRZ120 shall operate from a nominal 120V AC, 60Hz AC source, and shall be listed with a Nationally Recognized Testing Lab (NRTL) for U.S. and Canada. It shall meet FCC Part 15 requirements. It shall be rack mountable using integrated mounting brackets. A 75-ohm FM (F-type) coax antenna connector shall also be provided.

The unit shall include a protection fuse internal to the IEC line cord connector. There shall be a master power switch, as well as a separate power switch on the Remote Control for the FM tuner & MP3 player. A red LED indicates power ON/OFF status for the unit.
