Please read these operating instruc­tions before using the equipment for the first time.

Safety notices
Please observe the following safety notices during installation and whilst making the connections.
If installation or maintenance is car-
ried out incorrectly , the vehicle's electronic systems may malfunc­tion.
Disconnect the negative terminal of
the battery! When doing so, please observe the safety notices provid­ed by the vehicle manufacturer.
When drilling holes, always make
sure that none of the vehicle's components are damaged in the process.
Depending on the vehicle model,
the conditions in your vehicle may differ from the description provided here. We do not accept liability for any damages caused by mistakes made during installation or when making connections or for any con­sequential damages.

Loading the disc magazine

In order to load the disc magazine,
first place it in the position shown (arrow uppermost).
Pull out one of the disc trays.
Note:
Never pull out more than one disc tray at the same time. Make sure that you never insert the disc trays at a slant.
Disc Tray
Note:
You must not use 8 cm discs. Protect your CDs against getting smudged by finger prints and against damage. CDs rest loosely on the CD trays - for this reason please make sure that the CDs do not slide off and fall when you remove the CD trays. Although you do not have to fill all the disc trays with CDs, the trays must nev­ertheless all be inserted in the maga­zine.

Slide the door to the very right.

Insert one disc per tray whilst mak-
ing sure that the disc's printed side is uppermost.
Insert the disc tray containing the
CD fully into the magazine (it clicks into place).
You can insert up to a maximum of 10 CDs. Y ou do not have to insert CDs into all the disc trays.

Always keep the door of the CD chang­er closed. This ensures that the laser optics inside the CD changer are pro­tected from dust and dirt.

Notes regarding moisture build-up
Condensation may build up on the la­ser optics during rainy weather or as a result of differences in temperature. This can lead to the device not functioning properly . If this is the case, remove the CDs and wait for approximately one hour until the moisture has evaporated.
Notes regarding CDs
Dirty or damaged CDs can lead to dis­ruptions in the sound. In order to en­sure audio quality is maintained, please observe the following:
Keep CDs clean and only hold
them by their edges!
If necessary , clean CDs before
playing them using a special clean­ing cloth that can be obtained from retail outlets. Wipe the surface from the centre to the outer edge!
Never use solvents like petroleum
spirit, thinners, anti-static sprays or cleaning agents for vinyl records!
Never glue anything onto the CD!
Protect your CDs against sunlight
and high temperatures. Never leave CDs in a vehicle that is parked in direct sunlight.
High temperatures in the vehicle
can damage CDs.
Shaped CDs (not round, virtual) or
CDs with a diameter of 8 cm (with or without an adapter ring) must not be played in this device.
CDs with adhesive labels stuck to
them must not be used!

Protect the magazine against high
temperatures and moisture.
Store the magazine in a place that
is protected from direct sunlight (never place it on the dashboard or the vehicle's rear shelf)!
Protect the magazine against jolts!
Please refer to the operating instruc­tions that came with your in-car sound system for details regarding any other aspects of operation.

Please make sure that you observe the following in particular

- subjected to temperatures above 55°C (e.g. in a car parked in di­rect sunlight).
- near warm air outlets (heating, etc.).
- subjected to rain or moisture.
- subjected to dust or dirt.
- subjected to strong vibrations.
To insure that the device is in-
stalled securely , make sure you only use the supplied mounting components.

If the device is installed suspended from the vehicle's rear shelf or inside the car boot, please observe the following pre­cautionary measures:
Select an installation position that
allows the device to be fitted hori­zontally .
Please ensure that the device does
not obstruct the springs and brack­et, etc. of the car boot lid.
Before installing, first remove the three screws that secure the device during transportation.

Angle adjustment switches
Note:
The angle adjustment switches on the sides of the device must be adjusted to suit the angle at which the CD changer is installed. Both switches must be set to the same position. If the switches are not correctly set, dis­ruptions to the sound output and other malfunction may occur.
