Read Instructions - All the safety and operating instructions must be read before the product is operated. Retain Instructions - The safety and operating instructions should be kept with the product for future reference. Heed warnings - All warnings on the product and in the operating instructions should be adhered to.
Follow instructions - All operating and users’ instructions should be followed. Installation - Install in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. Power sources - This product should be operated only from the type of power
source indicated by the marking adjacent to the power cord entry. If you are not sure of the type of power supply to your home, consult your product dealer or local power company. Grounding or polarization - the product is not required to be grounded. Ensure that the plug is fully inserted into the wall outlet or extension cord receptacle to prevent blade or pin exposure. Some versions of the product are equipped with a power cord fitted with a polarized alternating line plug (a plug having one blade wider than the other). This plug will fit onto the power outlet only one way. This is a safety feature. If you are unable to insert the plug fully into the outlet, tr y reversing the plug. If the plug should still fail to fit, contact your electrician to replace your obsolete outlet. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized plug. Heat - The product should be situated away from heat sources such as radiators,
heat registers, stoves, or other products, including amplifiers that produce heat. No naked flame sources, such as lighted candles, should be placed on the apparatus. Water and moisture - To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose the product to train, dripping, splashing or excessive moisture such as in a sauna or bathroom. Do not use this product near water, for example, near a bathtub, washbowl, kitchen sink, laundry tub, in a wet basement or near a swimming pool (or similar). Object and Liquid Entry - Never push objects of any kind into this product through openings, as they may touch dangerous voltage points or short-circuit parts that could result in a fire or electric shock. Never spill liquid of any kind on the product. Do not place any object containing liquid on top of the product. Cleaning - Unplug the product from the wall outlet before cleaning. Dust in the woofer may be cleaned with a dry cloth. If you wish to use an aerosol cleaning spray, do not spray directly on the cabinet; spray onto the cloth. Be careful not to damage the drive units. Attachments - Do not use attachments not recommended by the product manufacturer, as they may cause hazards. Accessories - Do not place this product on an unstable car t, stand, tripod, bracket or table. The product may fall, causing serious injury to a child or adult, and serious damage to the product. Use only with a cart, stand, tripod, bracket or table recommended by the manufacturer or sold with the product. Any mounting of the product should follow the manufacturer ’s instructions and should use a mounting accessory recommended by the manufacturer. Moving the product - A product and cart combination should be moved with care. Quick stops, excessive force and uneven surfaces may cause the product and cart combination to overturn. Unused periods - The power cord of the appliance should be unplugged from the outlet during lightning storms or when the apparatus is left unused for a long period of time. Servicing - Do not attempt to service this product yourself, as opening or removing covers may expose you to dangerous voltage or other hazards. Refer all servicing to qualified ser vice personnel. Please remove the power plug form the main power source or wall power source when not in use. When plugged in to a power source, the system is in standby mode, so the power is not entirely cut off. Unauthorized substitutions may result in fire, electric shock or other hazards. Mains fuses - For continued protection against fire hazard, use fuses only of the correct type and rating. The correct fuse specification for each voltage range is marked on the product. Do not turn up the volume while listening to a section with very low level inputs or no audio signals. If you do, the speaker may be damaged when a peak level section is suddenly played.

The only means of completely disconnecting the product from the power supply is by removing the power cord from the wall outlet or the product. The wall outlet or the power cord entry to the product must remain freely accessible at all times while the product is in use. Try to install the product near a wall socket or extension cord and shall be easily accessible. The highest environmental temperature suitable for this product is 35°C. ESD hints - If the product maybe reset or not reset to operation of control due to electrostatic discharge, just switch off and reconnect again, or move the product to another location.

The batteries must not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like. The batteries should be drawn to the environmental aspects of battery disposal. ERP2 - (Energy Related Products) note
This product with ecodesign complies with the stage 2 requirements of Commission Regulation (EC) NO. 1275/2008 implementing Directive 2009/125/EC regard to standby and off mode electric power consumption of electronic household and office equipment. After 15 minutes without any audio input, the device will automatically switch into standby mode. Follow up the instruction manual to resume the operation.
This device is equipped with an energy saving mode: if no signal is given during 15 minutes the device will switch automatically into standby mode in order to save energy (ERP 2 standard). Please note that low volume setting in the audio source may be recognized as “no audio signal”: this will affect the capability of signal detection from the device and can also originate an automatic switch into standby mode. If this happens please reactivate the audio signal transmission or increase the volume setting on the audio source player (MP3 player, etc.), in order to resume playback. Please contact the local service center if the problem remains.

This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical sensor y or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Never use the device unsuper vised! Switch off the device whenever you are not using it, even if this only for a short while. The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote control system. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its ser vice agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard. Before operating this system, check the voltage of this system to see if it is identical to the voltage of your local power supply. The unit should not be impeded by covering the ventilation opening with items such as newspaper, table-cloths, curtains etc. Make sure that there are at least 20 cm of space above and at least 5 cm of space on each side of the unit. The apparatus must not be exposed to dripping or splashing and that objects filled with liquids, such as vases, must not be placed on the apparatus. To prevent fire or shock hazard, do not expose this equipment to hot places, rain, moisture or dust. Do not locate this unit near any water sources e.g. taps, bathtubs, washing machines or swimming pools. Ensure that you place the unit on a dry, stable surface. Do not place this unit close to a strong magnetic field. Do not place the unit on a amplifier or receiver. Do not place this unit in a damp area as the moisture will affect the life of electric components. If the system is brought directly from a cold to a warm location, or is placed in a very damp room, moisture may condense on the lens inside the player. If this occurs, the system will not operate properly. Please leave the system turned on for about an hour until the moisture evaporates. Do not attempt to clean the unit with chemical solvents as this might damage the finish. Wipe with a clean, dr y or slightly damp cloth. When removing the power plug from the wall outlet, always pull directly on the plug, never pull on the cord. Depending on the electromagnetic waves used by a television broadcast, if a TV is turned on near this unit while it is also on, lines might appear on the TV screen. Neither this unit nor the TV is malfunctioning. If you see such lines, keep this unit well away from the TV set. The mains plug is used as the disconnect device, the disconnect device must remain readily operable. To keep the laser pickup clean, do not touch it, and always close the disc tray. During playback, the disc rotates at high speed. DO NOT lift or move the unit during playback, doing so may damage the disc or the unit. When changing places of installation or packing the unit for moving, be sure to remove the disc and return the disc tray to its closed position in the player. Then, press switch to turn the power off and disconnect the power cord. Moving this unit with the disc loaded may result in damage to this unit. Put discs back in their case after playing them. Never expose discs to direct sunlight or heat sources. Never leave discs inside a car parked in full sunlight.

Warning: Danger of radiation
This label means that this unit contains a laser component. Opening the CD compar tment lid and defeating the safety interlocks will expose the user to radiation from the laser beam. Do not stare into the laser while it is operating.

Since dirty, damaged or warped discs may damage the appliance, care should be taken of the followings items:
a. Usable compact discs. Use only compact disc with the mark shown below. b. CD compact disc only with digital audio signals.

Do not touch the playback side of disks. Hold discs by the edges to avoid leaving fingerprints on the surface. Any dust, fingerprints or scratches may cause a malfunction. Never attach a label or sticky tape to the disc. Use a clean soft lint-free cloth to clean the disc, working from the center outwards in a straight line, thinners, commercially available cleaners or anti static sprays for vinyl discs.

Power sources
AC power
You can power your portable system by plugging the detachable AC power cord into the AC inlet at the back of the unit and into a wall AC power outlet. Check that the rated voltage of your appliance matches your local voltage. Make sure that the AC power cord is fully inserted into the appliance.
Battery power
Insert 8 x “C” size batteries into the battery compar tment. Be sure that the batteries are inserted correctly to avoid damage to the appliance. Always remove the batteries when appliance will not be used for a long period of time, as this will cause leakage to the batteries and subsequently damage to your set.
Notes:
- Use batteries of the same type. Never use different types of batteries together.
- To use the appliance with batteries, disconnect the AC power cord from it.

Radio operation
General operation
1. Set the “FUNCTION” selector to “RADIO” mode.
2. Select desired band by using the “BAND” selector.
3. Adjust radio frequency to your desired station by using the “ TUNING” control.
4. Adjust the “VOLUME” control to the desired level.
FM / FM-Stereo reception
- Set the “BAND” selector to FM mode for MONO reception.
- Set the “BAND” selector to FM ST. mode for FM STEREO reception.
For better reception
- Reorient the antenna for better reception.
- Reorient the appliance to get better AM reception.

Tape operation
General operation
PLAYBACK
1. Set the “FUNCTION” selector to “TAPE” mode.
2. Press the “STOP / EJECT” button to open the cassette door and inser t your tape.
3. Close the cassette door.
4. Press the “PLAY” button to start playing tape.
5. Adjust the “VOLUME” control to the desired level.
6. Press the “PAUSE” button when you want to stop playing tape operation temporarily.
7. Press the “STOP / EJECT” button when finished.
Press to stop playing tape operation temporarily. Press again to resume tape operation.
Press to stop tape operations. Press again to open the cassette door after the tape
spools stop turning.

CD/MP3 operation
General operation
PLAYBACK
1. Set the “FUNCTION” selector to “CD / MP3” mode.
2. Open the CD door and place a CD / MP3 disc with the label up on the CD compartment.
3. Close the CD door.
4. Focus search is performed if disc is inside. Total number of tracks is read and appears on the display.
5. Playback will start automatically from the first track.
6. Adjust the “VOLUME” control to the desired level.
7. Press the “PLAY / PAUSE” button again when you want to stop playback temporarily.
8. Press the “STOP” button when finished.

CD/MP3 operation
Program
Up to 20 tracks fo CD disc, 99 tracks of MP3 disc can be programmed for disc play in any order. Be sure to press the “STOP” button before use.
1. Press the “MODE” button, the display will show “P01” and flash.
2. Select desired track by using the “SKIP +” or “SKIP -” button. (You may select a desired album by pressing the “ALBUM” button).
3. Press the “MODE” button again to confirm desired track into the program memory.
4. Repeat step 2 and 3 to enter additional tracks into the program memory.
5. When all the desired tracks have been programmed, press the “PLAY / PAUSE” button to play the disc in the order you have programmed.
6. Press the “STOP” button twice to terminate programmed playback. Note: For Energy saving, system will return to the standby mode automatically if unit have stopped operating in CD/MP3 mode for 10 minutes.
Mode
Press the “MODE” button before or during playing CD / MP3 disc, each press switches the mode function as follows: 1 - REPEAT 1 2 - REPEAT ALBUM ( *MP3 ONLY ) 3 - REPEAT ALL 4 - RANDOM 5 - NORMAL PLAYBACK
