Features
The HT-DIST allows more tonal adjustment than any other pedal
around. The patent-applied-for ISF (Innite Shape Feature) circuit
gives you innite adjustment over the characteristics of the tone
control network and takes you from the USA to the UK and any where
in between. So now, for the rst time, you can effectively design your
own tone and nally nd ‘the sound in your head’.
The high voltage valve design means all the tones available are
extremely dynamic and natural and the no compromise speaker
emulated output allows you to get your great guitar tone straight to
tape or disk.

Controls
1. Gain
The Gain control adjusts the amount of overdrive or distortion that
the pedal will deliver. At low settings, counter clockwise (CCW), the

HT-DIST will deliver a clean boost, which in conjunction with the
Level control can be used to overdrive an already distorting valve
amplier. As the Gain control is increased clockwise (CW) the sound
will become more overdriven moving through crunch tones until, at its
maximum position, a full distorted lead tone is arrived at.
2. Bass
The Bass control adjusts the amount of low end frequencies in your
tone. This pedal has an advanced tone shaping circuit which allows
the tone to be tight and cutting, counter clockwise (CCW), to warm
and thumping (CW).
3. Middle
The Middle control adjusts the amount of middle frequencies in your
tone. The middle frequencies are particularly important in getting
the amount of ‘body’ your tone has. With the Middle control set to
its minimum position (fully CCW) the sound will be aggressive and
scooped, this is a tone ideal for aggressive rhythm playing. As the
Middle control is increased (CW) the amount of ‘body’ is increased,
which is more suitable for sustained lead guitar tones.
4. Treble
The Treble control allows exact adjustment of the treble frequencies
within the sound. At low settings (CCW) the sound will be warm and
darker in character. As the Treble control is increased (CW) the sound
will become brighter. At the maximum settings the sound will be
aggressive and cutting.
5. ISF (Innite Shape Feature)
The ISF control works in conjunction with the Bass, Middle and
Treble controls. It allows you to choose the exact tone signature
you prefer. Fully CCW is a more American characteristic with a
tight bottom end and more aggressive middle, and fully CW is a
British characteristic which is more ‘woody’ and less aggressive.

We recommend that to start with the ISF is set to half way and the
Bass, Middle and Treble are set to taste. Then try gradually adjusting
the ISF CW and CCW until you nd the sound you prefer.

6. Level
The Level control sets the overall level or volume from the pedal. It
should be used in conjunction with the Gain control to achieve the
exact type of drive you require. Generally speaking at lower Gain
settings the Volume will be increased and at higher Gain settings the
Volume should be decreased.
7. Output
This output is for connection to the input of your amplier or into other
pedals or effects. For best noise performance we recommend you
place the overdrive pedal rst in the effects chain. Always use a good
quality screened guitar lead.
8. Speaker Emulated Output
This output emulates the tonal characteristics of a guitar speaker
cabinet and provides a natural valve overdrive tone for connection
to a recording device or mixing desk. Always use a good quality
screened guitar lead.
9. Input
Plug your guitar in here. Always use a good quality screened guitar
lead.

10. Valve Viewing Window
Through this grille you can see the ECC83 valve at the heart of your
pedal.

11. Effect On/Off LED
When the RED LED is on the pedal is on. When the LED is not on
the pedal is off.
12. Effect On/Off Switch
Press this switch to turn the effect on or off.

For the input of the 22V DC / 1.1A adapter supplied. Always use a
Blackstar approved adapter.

Eigenschaften
Mit dem HT-DIST erhält man eine grössere Tonregulierung als mit
jedem anderen Pedal auf dem Markt. Der Patentangemeldete ISF
(Innite Shape Feature) Schaltkreis ermöglicht eine grenzenlose
Regulierung der Eigenschaften des Tonregelungnetzwerks und
transportiert Sie von den USA an der UK und überall dazwischen.
Also jetzt zum ersten Mal können Sie praktisch Ihren eigenen Ton
konzipieren und endlich ‘den Sound in Ihrem Kopf’ nden.
Das Hochspannungsventildesign bedeutet, dass alle verfügbaren
Töne äusserst dynamisch und natürlich sind und der kompromisslose
Speaker emulierte Ausgang ermöglicht Ihnen, Ihren wahnsinnigen
Gitarrenton direkt auf Kassette oder Diskette aufzunehmen.

Regler
1. Gain
Der Gainregler regelt wieviele Overdrive und Verzerrung von dem
Pedal geliefert werden. Wenn der Regler auf niedrig eingestellt
ist, nach links, wird der HT-DIST einen unverzerrten Boost liefern,
der in Verbindung mit dem Levelregler verwendet werden kann,
einen bereits verzerrenden Ventilverstärker in Overdrive zu führen.
Indem der Gainregler auf höher eingestellt wird, nach rechts, wird
der Soundoverdrive erhöht werden und der Sound wird durch
Crunchtöne durchlaufen, bis man auf Maximum einen völligen
verzerrten Leadsound erhält.
2. Bass
Deutsch
Der Bassregler regelt wieviele Bassfrequenzen es in Ihrem Ton
gibt. Dieses Pedal hat einen fortgeschrittenen Schaltkreis für die
Tonformung, der einen engen und scharfen Ton erlaubt, wenn der
Regler nach links gedreht wird, und einen warmen und schlagenden
Ton, nach rechts.
3. Middle
Der Middleregler regelt wieviele Mittenfrequenzen es in Ihrem Ton
gibt. Die Mittenfrequenzen sind besonders wichtig, indem sie
bestimmen, wieviele ‘Substanz’ Ihr Ton hat. Wenn der Middleregler
auf minimal eingestellt ist (völlig nach links), wird der Klang aggressiv
und scooped sein und dieser Ton ist ideal, wenn es um aggressives
Rythmusspielen geht. Bei einer höheren Middleeinstellung
(nach rechts) ist die ‘Substanz’ erhöht, was für sustainreiche
Leadgitarrentöne geeigneter ist.
4. Treble
Der Trebleregler ermöglicht die exakte Regulierung der
Treblefrequenzen innerhalb des Klangs. Bei einer niedrigen
Einstellung, d.h. nach links, wird der Klang warm und dunkler sein.
Indem der Regler höher eingestellt wird, d.h. nach rechts, wird der
Klang heller werden. Bei einer Einstellung auf Maximum, wird der
Klang aggressiv und scharf sein.
5. ISF (Innite Shape Feature)
Der ISF Regler funktioniert in Verbindung mit den Bass- Middle-
und Treblereglern. Damit können Sie genau Ihre bevorzugte
Tonverzeichnung wählen. Völlig nach links ist eine Eigenschaft, die
man öfter in Amerika ndet, mit einem engen Bassteil und einem
aggressiveren Middle, und völlig nach rechts ist eine britische
Eigenschaft, die “holziger” und nicht so aggressiv ist. Bitte die
Erklärung unten sehen.

Wir empfehlen, dass der ISF Regler am Anfang auf die Mitte
eingestellt wird und dass die Bass- Middle- und Trebleregler nach
Geschmack eingestellt werden. Dann versuchen Sie allmählich, den
ISF nach rechts und nach links einzustellen, bis Sie Ihren bevorzugten
Klang erhalten.

6. Level
Der Levelregler stellt den Gesamtpegel oder die Gesamtlautstärke
von dem Pedal ein. Er soll in Verbindung mit dem Gainregler
verwendet werden, damit Sie genau den benötigten Antriebstyp
erhalten. Im Allgemeinen, wenn die Gaineinstellung niedriger ist, wird
die Lautstärke verstärkt werden und wenn Gaineinstellung höher ist,
soll die Lautstärke reduziert werden.
7. Ausgang
Dieser Ausgang dient zum Anschliessen an den Eingang Ihres
Verstärkers oder zum Anschliessen in andere Pedale oder Effekte.
Um die beste Noise-Performance herauszuholen, empfehlen wir,
dass Sie das Overdrivepedal vorne in der Effektenkette legen. Immer
einen geschirmten Gitarrenkabel von hoher Qualität verwenden.

8. Speaker emulierter Ausgang
Dieser Ausgang emuliert die tonalen Eigenschaften eines
Gitarrensprechergehäuses und liefert einen natürlichen
Ventiloverdriveton zum Anschliessen an ein Aufnahmegerät oder an
einen Mischpult. Immer einen geschirmten Gitarrenkabel von hoher
Qualität verwenden.
9. Eingang
Ihre Gitarre hier anschliessen. Immer einen geschirmten Gitarrenkabel
von hoher Qualität verwenden.
10. Ventilbesichtigungsfenster
Durch dieses Gitter können Sie den ECC83 Ventil im Herzen Ihres
Pedals sehen.

Caractéristiques
La pédale HT-DIST permet beaucoup plus d’ajustements sonores
que toutes les autres pédales. L’innovant circuit ISF (Innite Shape
Feature) vous offre de nombreuses possibilités de réglages allant
des caractéristiques du son Américain jusqu’à celles du son Anglais
et couvre aussi tout les sons qu’il y a entre ces deux références en
matière de sonorités ! Aujourd’hui, et pour la première fois, vous allez
effectivement pouvoir créer votre propre son et nalement atteindre
‘the sound in your head’ (le son que vous avez en tête).
Le circuit haute-tension à lampe signie que toutes ces sonorités sont
très dynamiques et naturelles. De plus, la sortie « Emulated Output »
vous permettra d’envoyer votre son directement à votre enregistreur
numérique ou table de mixage.

Fonctionnalités
1. Gain
Le bouton Gain ajuste le niveau d’overdrive ou de distorsion que va
délivrer la pédale. Réglé au minimum, la HT-DIST délivre un boost
propre, qui en parallèle avec le bouton Level peut être utilisé comme
overdrive d’un ampli à lampes délivrant déjà une distorsion. En
tournant le bouton dans le sens des aiguilles d’une montre le son se
gonera d’overdrive en passant par les sons crunch, puis, une fois
réglé au maximum, on atteindra une distorsion maximale du signal.
2. Bass
Le bouton Bass permet d’ajuster le niveau des basses fréquences
de votre son. Cette pédale d’effet dispose d’un circuit de modulation
du son vous permettant d’aller du son n et tranchant (réglage au
minimum) jusqu’au son chaud et lourd (réglage au maximum).
3. Middle
Le bouton Middle permet d’ajuster les moyennes fréquences de
votre son. Ces fréquences sont très importantes car elles confèrent
du « corps » au son. Si ce bouton est réglé au minimum, le son
sera agressif et idéal pour jouer une rythmique. Lorsque que l’on
augmente ce réglage, le son prend du corps et s’impose pour dans

le cadre d’une lead guitar aux sonorités nécessitant plus de sustain
et de présence.
4. Treble
Le bouton TONE permet d’ajuster exactement le niveau des
fréquences aiguës du signal. Au minimum (vers la gauche) le son sera
chaud et d’un caractère plus sombre. Quand le bouton est tourné
dans le sens des aiguilles d’une montre le son s’éclaircit. Une fois au
maximum, le son sera agressif et tranchant.
5. ISF (Innite Shape Feature)
Le bouton ISF fonctionne en parallèle avec les boutons Bass, Middle
et Treble. Il vous permettra de conférer à votre son la sonorité exacte
que vous souhaitez. Réglé tout à gauche, vous obtiendrez un son
américain avec des Bass et Treble plus faibles et des Middle plus
agressifs.
Une fois le bouton tout à droite, on se retrouve du côté des sons
anglais moins agressifs. Voir illustration ci-dessous.

Nous recommandons de commencer avec l’ISF réglé au milieu, et
de régler les Bass, Middle et Treble à votre guise. Ensuite régler l’ISF
comme vous le souhaitez an d’obtenir le grain de son que vous
recherchez.

6. Level
Le bouton Level permet de régler le volume/niveau de sortie global de
la HT-DIST. Ce bouton doit être utilisé en parallèle avec le bouton Gain
an d’atteindre le niveau de sortie souhaité.
Généralement, pour atteindre le bon équilibre, à des niveaux de gain
faibles le volume doit être augmenté et à des niveaux élevés de gain,
le volume devra être diminué.
7. Output
Cette sortie permet de relier votre pédale Blackstar à votre ampli ou
à d’autres pédales et effets. Pour obtenir un meilleur rendu sonore,
nous recommandons de placer la pédale overdrive en première
position dans votre chaîne d’effets.
8. Speaker Emulated Output
Cette sortie simule les caractéristiques d’un bafe d’ampli guitare
et fournit un overdrive à lampe naturel et permet d’être connecté
directement à un enregistreur ou à une table de mixage.
9. Input
Reliez le jack sortant de votre guitare à cette entrée.

10. Valve Viewing Window (Fenêtre d’observation de la

A travers cette grille vous pouvez apercevoir la lampe ECC83/12AX7
située au cœur de votre pédale.
ATTENTION: Ne retirez pas les vis de xation ou la grille !
11. Effect On/Off LED
Quand la LED rouge est allumée la pédale est en marche. Quand la
LED est éteinte la pédale l’est aussi.
12. Effect On/Off Switch
Appuyez sur ce switch pour activer/désactiver l’effet.

Características
El HT-DIST permite más ajuste tonal que cualquier otro pedal. El
circuito ISF (Innite Shape Feature), cuya patente está pendiente, le
otorga un ajuste innito sobre las características de la red de control
de tonos, y le lleva de EE.UU. al Reino Unido y a cualquier lugar
ellos. Así que ahora, por primera vez, puede diseñar de manera
ecaz su propio tono y encontrar por n ‘el sonido de su cabeza’.
El diseño de válvulas de alta tensión se traduce en que todos los
tonos disponibles son sumamente dinámicos y naturales, y la salida

Controles
1. Gain
El control Gain ajusta la cantidad de overdrive o distorsión que
dará el pedal. Con ajustes bajos, en sentido contrario a las agujas
del reloj, el HT-DIST ofrecerá un realce limpio, que junto con el
control Level puede utilizarse para distorsionar un amplicador a
válvulas que ya distorsione. A medida que se aumenta el control
Gain en el sentido de las agujas del reloj, el sonido se volverá más
distorsionado pasando por tonos crunch hasta que, en su posición
máxima, se llegue a un tono principal totalmente distorsionado.
2. Bass
El control Bass ajusta la cantidad de frecuencias graves en su tono.
Este pedal tiene un circuito de corrección de tonos avanzado que
permite que el tono sea tenso y cortante (en sentido contrario a
las agujas del reloj), o cálido y sordo (en el sentido de las agujas
del reloj).
3. Middle
El control Middle ajusta la cantidad de frecuencias medias de su
tono. Las frecuencias medias son especialmente importantes a la
hora de conseguir la cantidad de ‘cuerpo’ que tiene su tono. Con el
control Middle ajustado en su posición mínima (totalmente girado en
sentido contrario a las agujas del reloj), el sonido será agresivo y con
picos pronunciados, es un tono ideal para tocar ritmos agresivos. A
medida que se aumenta el control Midlle (en el sentido de las agujas
del reloj), se incrementa la cantidad de ‘cuerpo’, lo que es más
adecuado para tonos de guitarra solista prolongados.
4. Treble
El control Treble permite el ajuste preciso de las frecuencias agudas

dentro del sonido. Con ajustes bajos (en sentido contrario a las
agujas del reloj), el sonido será cálido y más oscuro de carácter.
A medida que se aumente el control Treble (en el sentido de las
agujas del reloj), el sonido se volverá más brillante. Con los ajustes
máximos, el sonido será agresivo y cortante.
5. ISF (Innite Shape Feature)
El control ISF funciona junto con los controles Bass, Middle y
Treble. Le permite elegir la rma tonal exacta que preera. Si se gira
totalmente en sentido contrario a las agujas del reloj, se obtendrá
una característica más americana, con un grave tenso y un medio
más agresivo, y si se gira totalmente en el sentido de las agujas
del reloj se obtendrá una característica británica, que suena más ‘a

6. Level
El control Level establece el nivel o volumen global del pedal.
Debería utilizarse junto con el control Gain para conseguir el tipo
de control exacto que necesite. Por lo general, con ajustes de Gain
más bajos el volumen subirá, y bajará con ajustes más altos.
7. Output
Esta salida sirve para conectarse a la entrada de su amplicador
o en otros pedales o efectos. Para un mejor rendimiento del ruido,
recomendamos colocar el pedal de overdrive primero en la cadena
de efectos. Utilice siempre un cable de guitarra blindado de buena
calidad.

8. Speaker Emulated Output
Esta salida emula las características tonales de una caja de altavoz
de guitarra y proporciona un tono distorsionado de válvula natural
para conectarse a un dispositivo de grabación o mesa de mezclas.

10. Valve Viewing Window
A través de esta rejilla puede ver la válvula ECC83 en el fondo de

11. LED de efecto On/Off
