Intended use
Your Black & Decker food chopper has been designed for chopping, beating and mixing food and beverage ingredients. This product is intended for household use only.
Safety instructions
Warning! When using mains-powered appliances, basic
safety precautions, including the following, should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and personal injury.
Read this entire manual carefully before using the appliance.
The intended use is described in this manual. The use of
any accessory or attachment or the performance of any operation with this appliance other than those recommended in this instruction manual may present a risk of personal injury.
Retain this manual for future reference.
Using your appliance
Make sure that the appliance is switched off before
connecting to or disconnecting from the power supply.
Always take care when using the appliance.
Do not use the appliance outdoors.
Always protect the motor unit from water or excessive
humidity.
Do not operate the appliance if your hands are wet.
Do not operate the appliance if you are barefoot.
Do not touch moving parts. Keep long hair and loose
clothing out of the way of the moving parts.
Guide the power supply cord neatly so it does not hang
over the edge of a worktop and cannot be caught accidentally or tripped over.
Never pull the power supply cord to disconnect the plug
from the socket. Keep the power supply cord away from heat, oil and sharp edges.
Switch off and wait for the motor to stop running before
disconnecting the appliance from the power supply.
Never detach any part or accessory while the appliance is
still connected to the power supply. Always disconnect the appliance from the power supply first.
If the power supply cord is damaged during use,
disconnect the appliance from the power supply immediately. Do not touch the power supply cord before disconnecting from the power supply.
Disconnect the appliance from the power supply when not
in use, before fitting or removing parts and before cleaning.
Safety of others
Do not allow children or any person unfamiliar with these
instructions to use the appliance.
Do not allow children or animals to come near the work
area or to touch the appliance or power supply cord.
Close supervision is necessary when the appliance is used near children.
After use
Switch off and remove the plug from the socket before
leaving the appliance unattended and before changing, cleaning or inspecting any parts of the appliance.
When not in use, the appliance should be stored in a dry
place. Children should not have access to stored appliances.
Inspection and repairs
Before use, check the appliance for damaged or defective
parts. Check for breakage of parts, damage to switches and any other conditions that may affect its operation.
Do not use the appliance if any part is damaged or defective.
Have any damaged or defective parts repaired or replaced
by an authorised repair agent.
Before use, check the power supply cord for signs of
damage, ageing and wear.
Do not use the appliance if the power supply cord or
mains plug is damaged or defective.
If the power supply cord or mains plug is damaged or
defective it must be repaired by an authorised repair agent in order to avoid a hazard. Do not cut the power supply cord and do not attempt to repair it yourself.
Never attempt to remove or replace any parts other than
those specified in this manual.
Double insulation
This appliance is double insulated in accordance with EN 60335; therefore no earth wire is required. Always check that the power supply corresponds to the voltage on the rating plate.
To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not immerse the cord, plug or motor unit in water or other liquid.

Assembly
Warning! Before assembly, make sure that the appliance is
switched off and unplugged.
Fitting and removing the bowl (fig. A)
Place the bowl (2) on the pin (7), aligning the lugs (8) with
the recesses (9).

Fix the bowl by turning it counter-clockwise until the lugs
(8) engage in the slots (10).
To remove the bowl from the appliance, turn the bowl
clockwise and take it off.
Assembling the bowl (fig. A)
Carefully place the chopper blade (4) over the raised
centre of the bowl (2).
Put the ingredients in the bowl.
Place the lid (3) on the bowl
Fix the lid by turning it counter-clockwise until the ribs (5)
are seated over the lugs (6).
To remove the lid from the bowl, turn the lid clockwise
and take it off.
Use
Switching on and off
Before switching on, make sure that the bowl (2) is fixed and check that the lid (3) is seated correctly.
To switch on, move the speed control switch (1) to one of
the two positions: I (low speed) to II (high speed). It is recommended to start at a low speed, then change to a higher speed if necessary.
To switch off, move the switch to position 0.
To operate in the pulse mode, move the switch to position
P.
Warning! Do not operate the appliance continuously for more
than 1 minute. After operating the appliance continuously for 1 minute, let it cool down for at least 2 minutes before operating it again. After operating the appliance for 4 cycles, let it cool down to room temperature before operating it again.
After use
Remove the bowl from the appliance.
Remove the lid from the bowl.
Carefully remove the blade from the bowl.
Take out the chopped ingredients from the bowl.
Cleaning and maintenance
Warning! Before cleaning and maintenance, unplug the
appliance. Be careful when cleaning the blades - they are sharp.
Wash the bowl, lid and blade in warm soapy water and
dry well.
Wipe the stand with a damp cloth. Do not use any
abrasive or solvent-based cleaner.
Warning! Do not immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.
Protecting the environment
Black & Decker provides a facility for recycling Black & Decker products once they have reached the end of their working life. This service is provided free of charge. To take advantage of this service please return your product to any authorised repair

Uso dell’apparecchio
Accertare che l’elettrodomestico sia spento prima di

Tenere sempre l’unità motore al riparo dall’acqua
o dall’umidità eccessiva.

Non toccare le parti mobili. Mantenere capelli e abiti
svolazzanti lontani dalle parti in movimento.
Disporre il cavo di alimentazione in modo che non penda
dal bordo di un piano e che non sia possibile inciamparvi o restarvi impigliati accidentalmente.
Non tirare mai il cavo di alimentazione per disinserire la
spina dalla presa. Mantenere il cavo lontano da fonti di calore, da olio e bordi taglienti.
Spegnere l’apparecchio e attendere che il motore si fermi
prima di staccarlo dall’alimentazione.
Non smontare mai i componenti o gli accessori con
l’elettrodomestico ancora collegato all’alimentazione. Scollegare sempre prima l’apparecchio dalla presa di corrente.
Se il cavo di alimentazione si danneggia durante l’uso,
disinserire immediatamente la spina dell’apparecchio dalla presa di corrente. Non toccare il cavo di alimentazione se non dopo aver disinserito la spina dalla presa di corrente.
Scollegare l’elettrodomestico dall’alimentazione quando
non è in uso, prima di installare o rimuovere dei componenti e prima di pulirlo.
Sicurezza altrui
Vietare l’uso dell’apparecchio ai bambini e agli adulti che
non abbiano letto il presente manuale d’istruzioni.
Vietare a bambini o ad animali di avvicinarsi all’area in cui

Dopo l’uso

Quando non è in funzione, l’apparecchio deve essere
conservato in un luogo asciutto inaccessibile ai bambini.
Ispezione e riparazioni
Prima dell’uso, verificare che non vi siano componenti
danneggiati o difettosi. Verificare anche che non vi siano parti rotte, che gli interruttori non siano danneggiati e che non vi sia nulla che comprometta il funzionamento dell’apparecchio.
Non usare l’elettrodomestico se ci sono elementi
danneggiati o difettosi
Eventuali elementi difettosi o danneggiati devono essere
sostituiti o riparati da un tecnico autorizzato.
Prima dell’uso, controllare che il cavo di alimentazione
non presenti segni di danni, invecchiamento e usura.
Non usare l’elettrodomestico se il cavo di alimentazione o
la spina sono danneggiati o difettosi.
Se il cavo di alimentazione o la spina sono danneggiati o
difettosi devono essere riparati da un tecnico autorizzato, onde evitare situazioni pericolose. Non tagliare il cavo di alimentazione e non tentare di ripararlo personalmente.
Non tentare mai di smontare o sostituire componenti
diversi da quelli indicati nel presente manuale.
Doppio isolamento
In ottemperanza della norma EN 60335, l’apparecchio è dotato di doppio isolamento che rende superflua la messa a terra. Controllare sempre che la tensione di alimentazione corrisponda a quella indicata sulla targhetta.
Per evitare il rischio di scosse elettriche, non immergere il cavo di alimentazione, la spina o l’unità di base in acqua o altri liquidi.
