Intended Use

Your Black & Decker vacuum cleaner has been designed for dry cleaning purposes. This product is intended for
domestic use only.

SAFETY

To reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock or injury:

• Do not leave appliance when plugged in. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before servicing.

• Use indoors only. Do not use on wet surfaces.

• Do not store outdoors or on wet surfaces.

• Use only as described in this manual.

• Do not pull or carry by cord, do not use cord as a handle, do not close a door on cord or pull cord around sharp
edges or corners, do not run appliance over cord. Keep cord away from heated surfaces.

• Do not unplug by pulling on cord.

• Do not handle plug or appliance with wet hands.

• Do not put any object into unit openings. Do not use with any openings blocked; keep free of dust, lint, hair, and

anything that may reduce air flow.

• Use extra caution when cleaning on stairs.

• Do not vacuum any electrical appliances while they are plugged in.

• Do not use this product to pick up sharp objects, metallic debris or large, solid objects (i.e., rocks or pebbles), as

product damage may result.

• Do not use to pick up any liquids, toxic substances, flammable or combustible liquids such as gasoline or use in

areas where they may be present.

• Do not place or drop the product into water or other liquids, if the product falls into water, immediately unplug it from

the electrical outlet. Do not touch or reach into the water.

• Do not vacuum burning or smoking materials, such as lit cigarette butts, matches or hot ashes.

• Do not use on or near hot surfaces. Keep cord away from heated surfaces.

• Do not use without dirt bowl and filters in place.

• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or a similarly qualified

person in order to avoid a hazard.

3. Unpacking and assembly:

3.1. Check that all parts are in the box. Fit the handle (3) by carefully inserting it into the lower main body. Make sure
that the cable does not jam.

3.2. Secure the handle by tightening the locking screw supplied. Use a screwdriver or a coin.

3.3. Insert the floor brush (13) to the brush connector (15), until it clicks into position.

OPERATION

1. Vacuuming

The cleaner equipped with a lot of accessories, and these accessories can be used in various combinations,

depending on the task: stick mode and hand-held mode.

1.1 Stick mode

Stick mode can clean the floors and carpets etc.

1) You should regularly check that the floor nozzle, wheels are clean in order to avoid scratching sensitive floors.

2) Pushing the ON/OFF button (1) to start the cleaner, then you can use the cleaner. When you want to stop the
operation, only push the button again to stop the cleaner.

3) During use you can use the cord mamagement clip (16) to keep your cable out of the way of the work area.

1.2 Hand-held mode

Handheld mode suitable for cleaning the furniture, car seats, curtain etc.

1) Pressing the release button(5) to remove the hand unit,

2) Insert the accessories to the inlet of the hand unit. Attach the crevice nozzle to facilitate cleaning of areas difficult to
reach, or attach the small brush for dusting Start/stop the hand unit by pressing the ON/OFF button (2)
