After use

Electrical safety

This product must be earthed.

Always check that the mains voltage
corresponds to the voltage on the rating
plate.

Appliance plugs must match the outlet.

Never modify the plug in any way. Do not

use any adapter plugs with earthed (Class 1)
appliances. Unmodified plugs and matching
outlets will reduce the risk of electric shock.

Extension cables & class 1 product

• A 3 core cable must be used as your tool

is earthed and of class 1 construction.

• Up to 30m (100 ft) can be used without

loss of power.

• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be

replaced by the manufacturer or an

authorised BLACK+DECKER Service

Centre in order to avoid a hazard.

Use

Warning! Do not use the appliance without

the reservoir filled.

• Place the carafe (7) on the hotplate (11).

• Place the filter holder (10) into the unit,

pulling the handle away from the lid to
lock it in place on the 2 pins. Put the

filter in the filter holder & fold the handle
down. Add coffee as required & close the

lid, pressing down to lock it in place.

• Connect the appliance to a suitable

electrical supply. The unit will emit an
audible warning, the Display Panel (8)
will light and the numbers will flash.

• Press the on/off button. The element will

heat the water in the adjacent pipe until
it boils.

• Disconnect the product from the supply

after use

• If you wish to get a cup of coffee while

brewing, remove the carafe from the
hotplate. The built in valve will prevent
drips

Before first use

• For a perfect taste, carry out 2 or 3

boil-processes with fresh water (without
coee). Once all the water has passed
through, switch o the appliance and let
it cool down for 5 minutes. Then repeat
the process with fresh water.

• Rinse and dry all parts.

Making Coee

• Lift the lid (1) & use the carafe (7) to pour
fresh, cold water into the reservoir (3),

watching the level in the water level
indicator (4) to ensure it is not
over-filled.

• Connect the appliance to a suitable

electrical supply. The Display Panel will
light and the numbers will flash.

• Press the “h” button, then the “m” button
to display the current time. Holding the

buttons down will allow the numbers to
scroll, alternatively, each press will
advance the numbers by one.

Utilisation

Avertissement! Ne pas utiliser l’appareil

sans eau dans le réservoir.

Avant la première utilisation

• Pour un goût authentique, effectuer 2 ou

3 processus de préparation de café avec
de l’eau fraîche (sans café). Laisser

écouler l’eau complètement, éteindre
l’appareil et attendre 5 mn pour le laisser

refroidir. Puis répéter ce processus avec

de l’eau fraîche.

• Rincer et sécher toutes les pièces.

Préparation du café

• Soulevez le couvercle (1) et utilisez la

carafe (7) pour verser de l’eau froide et
fraiche dans le réservoir (3), en vérifiant
le témoin de niveau d’eau (4) pour

s’assurer de ne pas trop le remplir.

• Placez la carafe (7) sur la plaque
chauffante (11).

• Placez le porte-filtre (10) dans l’appareil,

en tirant sur la poignée pour l’éloigner du
couvercle et le verrouiller en position sur

les 2 broches. Placez le filtre dans le

porte-filtre et abaissez la poignée.
Ajoutez la quantité de café souhaitée et
fermez le couvercle en appuyant vers le
bas pour le verrouiller en position.

• Branchez l’appareil sur une prise

électrique. L’appareil émettra alors un

signal sonore, l’écran d’affichage (8)

s’allumera et les chires clignoteront.

• Appuyez sur l’interrupteur marche/arrêt.

L’élément chauera l’eau dans le conduit
adjacent jusqu’à ébullition.

• Débranchez l’appareil après utilisation

• Si vous souhaitez prendre une tasse de

café pendant l’infusion du café, retirez la
carafe de la plaque chauante. La valve
anti-goutte incorporée empêchera

Utilização

Aviso! Não coloque o aparelho a funcionar

sem o reservatório cheio.

Antes da primeira utilização

• Coloque o suporte do filtro (10) na

unidade, puxando a pega para longe da
tampa para a colocar no sítio nos 2
pinos. Coloque o filtro no suporte do
filtro e coloque a pega para baixo. Junte
café conforme desejado e feche a tampa,
pressionando para baixo para bloquear
no sítio.

• Ligue o aparelho a uma corrente elétrica

apropriada. A unidade emitirá um aviso

Fazer café

• Levante a tampa (1) e utilize o jarro

térmico (7) para colocar água potável

fria no reservatório (3), tendo em

atenção o nível no indicador do nível de
