The power inverter output waveform
The ac output waveform of this inverter is known as a “modified sine wave.” This type of waveform is suitable for most ac loads, including linear and switching power supplies used in electronic equipment, transformers, and small motors.
Warning! Rechargeable devices:
Some rechargeable devices do not operate well from a modified sine wave inverter. They only operate correctly from a standard household outlet which provides a pure sine wave. Therefore, the manufacturer recommends that you operate these types of devices from a standard household outlet only, not from the inverter.
This problem does not occur with the majority of battery-operated equipment. Most of these devices use a separate charger or transformer that is plugged into an mains socket. The inverter is easily capable of running most chargers and transformers.
Caution! Incompatible products:
Certain products contain power supplies or circuits that are not compatible with an inverter using a modified sine wave output (such as this inverter) and may be damaged by using this inverter.
Some products must be powered from a pure sine wave power source, such as standard household power, or a “pure sine wave” inverter in order to function properly. If your product requires pure sine wave ac input power to function properly, the instruction manual for your product could state this. If in doubt, you should contact your product manufacturer PRIOR TO USE.
Your product could be damaged by this inverter if it contains:
•Microwave ovens
•Transformerless battery chargers
•Capacitive coupled power supplies
If an incompatible product is used with this inverter:
•The product might not operate at all, with no
indication of failure. The product fuse might open as a result of trying to use it with the inverter.
•The product might exhibit unusual operation (such
as, intermittent operation, buzzing, and the like.)
Warning!
This appliance will not operate high wattage appliances or equipment that produce heat, such as coffee makers, hair dryers, microwave ovens, and toasters.
Note:
Some laptop computers may not operate with
this inverter.
Rated versus actual power requirements of equipment
Most electrical tools, appliances and audio/video equipment have labels that indicate the power consumption in amps or watts. Be sure that the power
consumption of the item you wish to operate is rated at 500 watts or less.
The power inverter is fitted with overload protection and will shutdown if a load in excess of 500W is applied. Resistive loads (i.e incandescent lights) are the easiest for the power inverter to run.
Specific safety instructions for the USB power port
•Do not insert foreign objects into the USB power port.
•Do not attach USB hubs or more than one personal electronic device to the USB power port.
•Some USB-powered household electronics may not operate with this USB power port. Check the manual of the corresponding electronic device to confirm that it can be used with this type of USB power port.

PROTECTIVE FEATURES OF THE POWER INVERTER
Your appliance monitors the following potentially hazardous conditions:
Low battery voltage.
This condition is not harmful to the appliance but could damage the power source. The appliance automatically shuts down when input voltage drops to 10,5 +/– 0,5 volts. When the condition is corrected, turn the appliance off and then on.
Over voltage.
The power inverter will automatically shutdown when the input voltage exceeds 15,5 +/– 0,5V dc.
Short circuit.
A reverse polarity or short circuit condition may cause external or internal fuses to open and may cause irreversible damage to the appliance. Take extra care to insure a correct polarity connection.
Overload.
The power inverter will automatically shut down when the continuous load exceeds 500 watts. When the overload is removed, reset the appliance by turning it off and then on again.
Over temperature.
If the temperature inside the appliance is too high, the appliance will automatically shut down. Allow the appliance to cool for at least 15 minutes before restarting after a heat-related shutdown. Unplug the appliance while cooling.
HINTS FOR OPTIMUM USE
For best operating results, the inverter should be placed on a flat and/or solid surface. The inverter should only be used in locations that meet the following criteria:

TROUBLESHOOTING
Common Audio/Visual Problems
Buzzing Sound In Audio Systems
Some inexpensive stereo systems make a buzzing sound when operated from an inverter because the power supply in the electronic device does not properly filter the modified sine wave. The only solution to this problem is to use a sound system that has a higher quality power supply.
Television Interference
The inverter is shielded to minimize interference with television signals. However, in some instances, interference may still occur, particularly where television signals are weak. Try the following corrective measures:
•Place the inverter as far as possible from the television, the aerial or cables. Use an extension cable, if necessary.
•Readjust the orientation of the inverter, the aerial or cables and the television power cord to minimize interference.
•Make sure the aerial or cable feeding the television provides an adequate (“snow free”) signal and that high quality, shielded aerial or cable is used.
•Do not use the inverter to operate high-power appliances or tools at the same time you are using it to operate the television.
Common Power Output Problems
If the inverter on/ off switch has been pressed to turn the unit on, but there is no mains or USB power output and the power/fault LED is not lit:
•Press the on/off switch to turn the unit off.
•Check the dc connections. Tighten if necessary.
•Check the fuse in the dc vehicle power cord plug. Change if necessary.
•Press the on/off switch again to turn the unit back on.
Common Power Output Problems
If the inverter on/ off switch has been pressed to turn the unit on, but there is no mains or USB power output and the power/ fault LED flashes, then one of the following conditions has occurred:
•Low battery voltage.
•Over voltage.
•Short circuit.
•Overload.
•Over temperature.
Press the on/off switch to turn the inverter off, correct the fault and then press the on/off switch again to turn the inverter back on.
MAINTENANCE
From time to time wipe the outside casing of the inverter with a damp cloth. Do not use any abrasive or solvent-based cleaner. Do not immerse the inverter in water.
