Purpose
Usage guidelines for the Bird 8251T Load.

a maximum safe load temperature. When connected in series with the transmitter power interlock, it turns off the transmitter power if
the load temperature exceeds a safe level.
This unit has a temperature adjustment screw that has been set from the factory for the maximum allowable operating temperature of
the load. DO NOT ADJUST
Do not apply more than 10 in· lb (1.1N· m) torque on terminal nuts. The terminals are rated for 10A@120VACand5A@240
VAC. Check the requirements of the transmitter interlock and make the connections to the appropriate terminals as required.
T load has been equipped with an interlock overtemperature thermoswitch. It will provide a safeguard against damage that
occur from accidental transmitter power overload or equipment malfunction. Being normally closed, the thermoswitch opens at

Remove and replace cover while no power is applied to unit.
WARNING
Limit the interlock terminal to the values in the specifications.

Connect interlock before RF operation.
