Cappuccino Preparation
Cappuccino is espresso coffee with thick milk froth. To prepare
cappuccino, you should first prepare espresso. Therefore, use the amount of water required for preparation of espresso plus a sufficient amount of water for generation of steam for cappuccino.
1. To froth milk for cappuccino, you should first remove water from the cappuccino tube (6). Place a suitable container under the cappuccino tube (6). Turn the operating mode switch (3) to the “steam” position and wait until water stops running from the tube. Turn the operating mode switch (3) to the “O” position.
2. Fill the container with milk by a third. The milk and the container must be cold. Place the container with the milk under the cappuccino tube (6) and immerse its rubber tip into the milk. Turn the operating mode switch (3) to the “steam” position. Carefully move the milk container with circular motions. The tip of the cappuccino tube (6) must not touch the bottom of the milk container as it may prevent the steam release.
3. After enough froth has been generated, turn the operating mode switch (3) to the “O” position.
4. Using a spoon, put the milk froth produced into the cup where espresso is contained.

USEFUL TIPS
Always store roasted coffee beans in a tightly covered glass jar in the refrigerator. This will prevent coffee from losing quickly its flavour and aroma, as well as from absorbing foreign smells. If coffee has lost its aroma, wash it with cold water for two minutes. Place wet beans on a clean
ously, until they start crackling. This will help to recover the aroma.
The flavour of coffee greatly depends on the grind of beans,
as the size of particles influences the rate of water penetration through the coffee-grounds. If the grind is too fine, the water will either be unable to penetrate at all, or will drop too slowly, making the coffee bitter and over-extracted. If the grind is too coarse, the water will pass too quickly, preventing the beans from releasing all their flavour and aroma, and the coffee will be weak.
