General Repair Instructions
K-B-3MV8, K-B-4MV8
Disassembly
1) Secure the Valve Body onto a table top
2) Unthread the Lever from the Rotor and set it aside.
3) Using snap ring pliers, carefully remove and discard the Retaining Ring (use extreme caution,
contents are pressurized with spring force).
4) Remove the Rotor from the Valve Body, it can be discarded.
5) Remove the Buttons and O-Rings from the Valve Body (2 for 3MV8 and 3 for 4MV8), they can be
discarded.
6) Remove the Springs from the Valve Body (2 for 3MV8 and 3 for 4MV8), they can be discarded..
Reassembly
1) With the Valve Body still secured onto the table top, swab the internal holes of the Valve Body
(2 for 3MV8 and 3 for 4MV8) with applicable lubrication.
2) Place the new Springs into the internal holes of the Valve Body.
3) Lightly lubricate the new O-Rings with applicable lubrication and install them onto the new
Buttons.
4) Lightly lubricate the Button/O-Ring subassemblies with applicable lubrication.
5) Install the Button/O-Ring subassemblies on top of the springs inside the Valve Body (be sure the
button is facing thick side up as shown).
6) Lightly lubricate the face of the Rotor that has air holes in it with applicable lubrication.
7) Carefully install the Rotor into the Valve Body, ensure the tapped hole on the side of the Rotor
lines up with the slot on the side of the Valve Body.
8) A press may need to be used to compress the assembly. Once the Rotor is fully depressed,
carefully install the new Retaining Ring using snap ring pliers.
9) Thread the Lever Arm back into the threaded hole on the side of the Rotor.
