Instructions for use
The can-opener:
The can-opener is equipped with an auto-stop function, which stops the can-opener automatically once the can has been opened completely. The can remains fixed in the can-opener, while the separated can lid is held by the magnet. In order to use this function, it is important that you do not press the handle down during the opening process. If the handle is pressed down, the auto-stop function will be deactivated - this function should only be used if you do not want to open the can completely.
To assemble the can-opener, please proceed as follows:
Press the handle firmly into the opening provided in the upper part of the can-opener. The handle must be able to be moved downward freely. If this is not the case, press the handle more firmly into the opening.
How to use the can-opener:
1. Insert the plug into the power socket.
2. Raise the handle slightly and place the can with the upper rim between the retaining cog and the cutter wheel, so that the cutter wheel rests on the inner side of the rim of the can.
3. Now place the movable magnet on the lid. The lid will be held by the magnet once it has been removed, and can be safely disposed of later.
4. Press down on the handle until the cutter wheel penetrates the can lid.
5. The can-opener will now automatically start to open the can.
•In order to use the auto-stop function, release the handle as soon as the opening process starts. The can-opener will stop automatically as soon as the lid has been completely removed. If the auto-stop function does not work, for example in the case of heavy cans, raise the handle slightly to stop the can-opener.
•In order to open a can without using the auto-stop function, for example if you do not want to remove the lid completely, simply keep the handle pressed during the opening process. As soon as you release the handle, the can-opener will stop.
6. To remove the opened can, raise the handle slightly – the can will be released and the lid will be held by the magnet, so that it can be disposed of safely.
Note:
• Ensure that the magnet and the can lid are dry, otherwise the magnet may not be able to hold the lid.
•In order to avoid the can falling, hold your hand under the can throughout the complete opening process. Heavy cans should also be supported gently with the hand on the bottom of the can.
How to sharpen a knife
Remove the cap by pressing on the marking. Fit the knife sharpener into the keyhole  and rotate it clockwise until it is firmly locked. Press the handle to start the grinding wheel. Insert the knife into the slot of the sharpening guide, holding it flat against the wall of the housing. Lower the blade until it touches the wheel. Draw the knife towards you. Repeat the same operation using the other slot to sharpen the other side of the blade.
Cleaning and maintenance
Unplug the device. The handle and the magnetic lid holder can be removed for cleaning. Wipe the can opener with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the can opener in water.
