PRODUKTINFORMATION MMX 300

Sie haben sich für das Headset MMX 300 von beyerdynamic entschieden. Vielen Dank für
Ihr Vertrauen. Nehmen Sie sich bitte einige Minuten Zeit und lesen Sie diese Produkt infor­mation vor Inbetriebnahme aufmerksam durch.

Sicherheitshinweis

Wenn Sie das Headset anschließen, achten Sie darauf, dass die Lautstärke (Volume) zunächst
auf Mini mum gedreht ist. Regeln Sie die Lautstärke erst nach Aufsetzen des Kopfhörers.
Im allgemeinen wird mit Kopfhörern lauter abgehört als mit Laut spre chern. Hohe Lautstärken
können, sofern sie über längere Zeit auf das Ohr einwirken, zu dauerhaften Hörschä den
führen. Schonen Sie Ihr gesundes Gehör - auch bei niedriger Laut stärke haben beyerdynamic­Kopfhörer ihren vollen Klang.

Warnhinweis

Bitte beachten Sie, dass das Mikrofon nicht an Mikrofoneingänge mit Phantomspeisung
(12 - 48 V) angeschlossen werden darf, da dies zur Zerstörung des Mikrofons führt.

Anwendungen

Das MMX 300 ist das ideale Headset für alle Gaming- und Multimedia-Anwendungen und
eignet sich ebenfalls hervorragend für den Anschluss an Hifi-Anlagen und portable Geräte
(CD/DVD/MP3). Das lärmkompensierende Mikrofon sorgt für eine deutliche und präzise
Sprachübertragung auch in geräuschintensivsten Umgebungen. Die geschlossene Bauweise
garantiert einen absolut ungestörten Spielspaß und Soundgenuss mit höchstem Tragekom­fort durch weiche, auswechselbare Ohr- und Kopfpolster.

Anschluss

Das MMX 300 ist mit zwei Miniklinkensteckern ausgestattet. Sie können das Mikrofon- und
Kopfhörerkabel direkt an die entprechenden Buchsen Ihres PCs anschließen bzw. an eine
externe Soundkarte. Durch den aufgeschraubten Adapter kann der Kopfhörer auch an
Geräte mit großer Klinkenbuchse angeschlossen werden.

Kopfbügel

Um den Tragekomfort zu optimieren, können Sie den Kopfbügel des Headsets an Ihren
Kopf anpassen.
Wenn der Kopfbügel über die Kopfmitte verläuft, sollte der Bügel so eingestellt sein, dass

• beide Ohren komplett umschlossen sind

• ein leichter Druck um die Ohren zu spüren ist

• beide Seiten des Bügels gleich verlängert sind

Mikrofon

• Drehen Sie am festen Mikrofonarmhalter
(niemals am Schwanenhals!) das Mikrofon
in die von Ihnen gewünschte Position.

• Der Poppschutz soll das Mikrofon komplett umschließen.

• Biegen Sie den flexiblen Schwanenhals so, dass das Mikrofon etwa zwei Zentimeter mittig
vor Ihrem Mund platziert ist.
Wichtig: Zur Vermeidung von Überdehnungen und frühzeitigem Verschleiß darf der
Schwanenhals nur max. 90 Grad gebogen werden.

Pflege

• Aus hygienischen Gründen sollten Sie die Ohr polster und den Kopfbügel gelegentlich
mit einem weichen feuchten Tuch reinigen. Achten Sie darauf, dass kein Wasser in die
Wandler läuft.

• Den Poppschutz des Mikrofons können Sie abnehmen und unter fließendem Wasser
reinigen. Bei Bedarf können Sie ein mildes Reinigungsmittel (z.B. Geschirrspül mittel)
verwenden. Der Poppschutz muss ganz trocken sein, bevor Sie ihn wieder auf das
Mikrofon setzen.

Kopfhörer Mikrofon

Inbetriebnahme Headset

Setzen Sie das Headset auf den Kopf. Das Mikrofon ist dabei auf der linken Seite. Positionieren
Sie das Mikro fon mittig vor dem Mund. Zur Vermeidung von Popp ge räuschen sollten Sie
das Mikro fon nur mit Poppschutz verwenden.

Wechsel der Ohrpolster

• Da Ohrpolster einem natürlichen Verschleiß
unterliegen, wird es von Zeit zu Zeit notwendig sie
auszutauschen. Dies können Sie leicht selbst machen.

• Zum Wechsel des Ohrpolsters ziehen Sie das alte von
der Hörerkappe. Das neue Ohrpolster lässt sich am
besten aufziehen, wenn Sie es vorher leicht erwärmt
haben.

Im Servicefall wenden Sie sich bitte an autorisiertes Fach personal. Öffnen Sie das Headset
auf keinen Fall selbst, Sie könnten sonst alle Garantieansprüche verlieren.

beyerdynamic GmbH & Co. KG gewährt Ihnen auf fabrikneue Geräte fünf Jahre
Garantie ab Kaufdatum. Bitte bewahren Sie den Kaufbeleg auf. Ohne diesen Nachweis
können Reparaturen grundsätzlich nur kostenpflichtig ausgeführt werden. Die Garantie­leistung beinhaltet Material und Arbeitszeit zur Behebung nachweislicher Material- und
Fabrikationsfehler.
Der Garantieanspruch erlischt bei Bedienungsfehlern, unsach gemäßen Eingriffen,
elektrischer und mechanischer Beschädigung sowie bei unsachgemäßer Reparatur durch
nicht auto risierte Werkstätten.
Vom Garantieanspruch ausgenommen sind im Lieferumfang enthaltene Batterien,
Akkus sowie Teile, die beim Gebrauch einem natürlichen Verschleiß unterliegen, wie
Anschlusskabel, Ohrmuscheln, Kopfpolster etc.
Die Garantie kann in allen Ländern in Anspruch genommen werden, in denen rechtliche
Bestimmungen der Garantie leistung nicht entgegenstehen. In allen Ländern gelten neben
den gesetzlichen Bestimmungen die von beyerdynamic-Verkaufsstellen gewährten Garantie­leistungen.

Entsorgung

Dieses Produkt darf am Ende seiner Lebensdauer nicht über den normalen
Haushaltsabfall entsorgt werden, sondern muss an einem Sammelpunkt
für das Recycling von elektrischen und elektronischen Geräten abgegeben
werden. Das Symbol auf dem Produkt, der Gebrauchsanweisung oder

Thank you for selecting the MMX 300 headset. Please take some time to read carefully
through this product information before using the headset.

Safety Information

When you connect your headset, please make sure that the volume control is set at
minimum and is adjusted after it has been put on. It is a common phenomenon to listen to
music through headphones at high levels.
The very low levels of distortion present within the headphone can make the listening levels
higher than is perceived and we would like to warn you of this so that you are able to enjoy
the sound from this headphone for many years without damaging your ears.

Warning

Please make sure that you do not connect the microphone to microphone inputs supplying
phantom power (12 - 48 V), as this will damage the microphone.

Headband

For best comfort and noise attenuation, the headband can be adjusted to fit your head
properly.
Wear the headset so that the headband runs over the top of your head and adjust the
headband so that

• your ears are completely enclosed by the ear cushions,

• you feel a gentle pressure around your ears,

• both ends of the headband have the same length to ensure a proper fit

Microphone

• Turn the microphone holder (not the
gooseneck!) to position the microphone as
requested.

Applications

The MMX 300 is ideal for all gaming and multimedia applications as well as for use with hi-fi
systems or mobile devices (CD/DVD/MP3). The noise-cancelling microphone ensures a clear
and precise voice transmission even in noisy surroundings. The closed design guarantees
absolute undisturbed enjoyment of game and sound combined with a high comfort due to
soft, replaceable ear and headband pads. The microphone can be muted and the volume
can easily be controlled via the supplied USB converter.

Connection

The MMX 300 provides two mini jack plugs (3.5 mm). You can directly connect the micro­phone and headphone cables to the appropriate sockets of your PC or to an external sound
card. By using the screw-on 1/4" adapter the headphone can also be connected to devices
with a 1/4" jack socket.

Headphone Microphone

Setting up and Use of the Headset

Put the headset on your head. The microphone is on the left side. Position the microphone
to the front of the middle of the mouth. In order to avoid pop noise you should use the
microphone with a pop shield.

• The pop shield should enclose the microphone completely.

• Bend the flexible gooseneck so that the microphone is placed about 2 cm in front of the
middle of your mouth.
Important: In order to avoid overstretching and premature wear and tear never bend
the gooseneck more than 90°.

Maintenance

• As with any equipment which will be used in close proximity to sensitive areas of the body,
it is essential that the ear pads and headband are kept clean. Use a damp cloth for cleaning
using warm water only taking care not to allow any water drops into the transducers.

• For cleaning the pop shield remove it from the microphone and wash it under clear
running water. If necessary you can use a mild cleansing agent (e.g. washing-up liquid).
Make sure that the pop shield is completely dry before you replace it onto the microphone.

How to replace the Ear Pads

• Should it become necessary, replace the ear pads.

• Pull the ear pads up and remove them from the
earcups. Attach the new ear pads to the earcups.

• If other components have to be replaced, please
contact your beyerdynamic dealer.

Servicing must be carried out by qualified service personnel only. Dismantling the headset
yourself will invalidate the guarantee.

Warranty

Thank you for selecting a beyerdynamic product.
beyerdynamic GmbH & Co. KG provides a five year warranty to the original purchaser
from the date of purchase. Please keep your sales receipt and/or invoice. Without this proof
of purchase repairs will be chargeable.
The warranty extends to cover against defects in both materials and workmanship but
excludes faults occurring due to; operating errors, improper operation, electric and
mechanical damage, as well as repairs carried out by an unauthorised service centre.
Excluded from the warranty claim are batteries and rechargeable batteries (included in
the delivery) as well as parts that are subject to natural wear and tear during usage such as
connecting cables, ear cushions, headband pads etc.
This warranty is valid in any country in which beyerdynamic is represented by an
authorised distributor. The provisions of this warranty do not exclude your rights under
local consumer law.
