Anwendungen
Das M 58 wurde speziell für Reportageeinsätze entwickelt. Seine Frequenzkurve ist daher auf beste
Sprachverständ lichkeit ausgelegt. Aufgrund seiner
schlanken Bauform und reflexionsfreien Oberfläche kann
das Mikrofon verhältnis mäßig unauffällig vor der Kamera
eingesetzt werden.
Anschluss
Das M 58 ist mit einem 3-poligen XLR-Stecker ausge stattet. Sie können das Mikrofon an jeden Mikrofon ein gang anschließen. Erhältliche Kabel siehe „Zubehör
optional“.
Inbetriebnahme
• Eine elastische Systemaufhängung verhindert unerwün schte Hand- und Trittschallgeräusche.
• Die besondere Form des M 58 mit einer handgerechten Schwerpunktlage ermöglicht eine ermüdungsfreie
Hand habung bei längeren Interviews.
• Bei Außenreportagen sollten Sie den mitgelieferten
Windschutz WS 58 verwenden.
Pflege
Zum Reinigen von Mikrofonschaft und Mikrofonkorb
nehmen Sie ein feuchtes, weiches Tuch. Bei Bedarf können
Sie ein mildes Reinigungsmittel (z.B. Geschirrspülmittel)
verwen den, auf keinen Fall jedoch lösemittelhaltige
Reiniger. Achten Sie darauf, dass keine Flüssigkeit in das
Mikrofon läuft!
Service
Im Servicefall wenden Sie sich bitte an autorisiertes
Fachpersonal. Öffnen Sie das Mikrofon auf keinen Fall
selbst, Sie könnten sonst alle Garantieansprüche verlieren.

Please take some time to read carefully through this
information before using the product.
Applications
The M 58 has been developed especially for interviewing
applications. Therefore, its frequency response has been
adapted to the best intelligibility of speech. In front of
cameras the microphone can be used quite inconspicuously
due to its slim design and non-glare surface.
Connection
The M 58 is equipped with a 3-pin XLR plug. You can
connect it to any microphone input. For available cables
refer to the section “Optional Accessories”.
Setting up and Use
• An elastic suspension of the system eliminates
unwanted handling noise .
• The special shape of the M 58 with a handy centre of
gravity allows to use the microphone without fatigue
in long lasting interviews.
• For outdoor applications use the WS 58 wind shield.
Maintenance
Use a soft, damp cloth for cleaning the surface. If necessary,
you can use a gentle cleansing agent (such as washing-up
liquid). Take care not to allow any water to enter the
transducerelements and do not use any solvent agents.
Service
Servicing must be carried out by qualified service personnel
only. Dismantling the microphone yourself will invalidate
the guarantee.

Applications
Le M 58 a été conçu spécialement pour des reportages.
C’est pourquoi sa courbe de fréquence est optimisée
pour garantir la meilleure intelligibilité possible. Grâce à
sa construction élancée et sa surface non réfléchissante,
le microphone peut être mis devant la caméra sans être
aperçu.
Branchement
Le M 58 est muni d’un connecteur XLR à 3 broches
permettant la connexion à n’importe quel type d’entrée
de microphone (Voir «accessoires en option» pour la
gamme des câbles disponibles).
Mise en marche
• La suspension élastique bloque tout bruit de manipulation/ frottement.
• La forme particulière du M 58 (la position du centre de
gravité est adaptée à la forme de la main) permet de
tenir le micro sans fatigue même pendant de longues
interviews.
• Nous recommandons d’utiliser la bonnette anti-vent
fournie avec le M 58 pour des reportages à l’extérieur.
Entretien
Utilisez un tissu doux humidifié pour nettoyer le corps et
la grille de protection du microphone. Si nécessaire, vous
pouvez ajouter un produit vaisselle, mais n’utilisez jamais
des dissolvants; veillez à ce que toute pénétration de
l’eau dans le transducteur du microphone soit évité.
Service après-vente
En cas de nécessité veuillez vous adresser à un technicien
beyerdynamic autorisé. N’ouvrez jamais le microphone,
vous risquerez sinon de perdre vos droits de garantie.
