Series 8 and LF8
Hose Bibb Vacuum Breaker
For Backsiphonage Protection
Use only with approved hose bibbs or hose
fittings having four or more full American
National Hose (NH) threads.
INSTALLATION: For NF8/LFNF8, 8B/LF8B, 8BI/
LF8BI and 8FR/LF8FR models, thread onto
hose bibb, tighten set screw until head breaks
off to provide tamper-resistance. 8A/LF8A and
8P/LF8P models have a built-in non-removable
locking feature. Model 8/LF8 is secured by tightening the set screw.
TO DRAIN - 8A/LF8A, 8P/LF8P, 8B/LF8B, 8BI/
LF8BI and 8FR/LF8FR can be drained to prevent
freezing by removing hose and pulling down
gently on the stem. NF8/LFNF8 can be drained
by pulling down gently on the black ring and
does not require the removal of the hose. Model
8/LF8 is non-draining.
Model 8FR/LF8FR includes built-in freeze protection of the HBVB.
IMPORTANT: Do not use with continuous pressure or use where discharge of water could
cause damage.

labor charges, delays, vandalism, negligence, fouling caused by
foreign material, damage from adverse wate r conditio ns, chemical, or any other circumstances o ver which the Company has no
control. This war ranty shall be invalidated by any a buse, misuse,
misapplication, improper installation or improper maintenance or
alteration of t he product.
Some States do not allow limitatio ns on how long an implied
warranty lasts, and some Sta tes do not allow the exclusion or
limitation of incidental or consequential damages. Therefore the
above limitations may not apply to you. This Limited Warranty
gives you specific l egal rights, and you may have other rights
that var y from State to State. You s hould consult ap plicable state
laws to determine your rights. S O FAR AS IS CONSISTENT WITH
APPLICABLE STATE LAW, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES THAT MAY
