Subject: Competitive Desiccant Cartridges in AlliedSignal TBS Air

Dryers

This bulletin is to clarify AlliedSignal’s position on the use of competitive desiccant
cartridges in Bendix air dryers.

Because of the unknown quality and reliability of the materials and workmanship
employed by competitive companies, AlliedSignal Truck Brake Systems will not honor
warranty claims against its published standard or extended (TAG) warranties when a
competitive desiccant cartridge is used in any Bendix air dryer. A competitive desiccant
cartridge is a desiccant cartridge manufactured or rebuilt by a competitive firm and
includes a Bendix cartridge rebuilt by anyone other than AlliedSignal.
