This document provides step-by-step instructions for setting up your Bematech system, which contains
the following components: the SB-9015 Terminal, either the Bematech LV 3000U Virtual Pole Display or
Bematech LV 4000U Virtual Pole Display, either the 14481 (Black) or 14480 (White) Bematech Cash
Drawer, the Bematech MP-4200TH Thermal Printer, MSR and the Bematech Aguila S-500 Barcode Scanner
with USB cable connection (P/N: 171-100301-200).

Powering on the Terminal
1. Insert end 1 of cable 1 into end 2 of cable 2.
2. Insert end 2 of cable 1 into a power outlet.
3. Plug end 1 of cable 2 into the SB-9015 (DC IN port).
4. Press the power button.
To power on the terminal, follow these steps.

Connecting the Bematech Aguila S-500 Barcode Scanner
Connect the USB cable protruding from the base of the handle and connect it to an available USB port on your computer (USB4).
Note: This barcode scanner requires the USB cable with the part number of: 171-100301-200.
Note: If any configuration is required for this device please contact Bematech directly.

Installing Microsoft POS for .NET
1. Run the installer and select Install.
2. Enter a User Name and Organization and select Next.
3. Select Accept.
The installer for Microsoft POS for .NET can be downloaded at:
http://download2.pcamerica.com/drivers/POS_for_.Net.exe

4. Select Typical and then Next.

2. Select the installation destination then select Next.

3. Select the start menu folder then select Next.

the printer to the computer.

1. Insert end 1 of cable 1 into end 2 of cable 2.
2. Insert end 2 of cable 1 into a power outlet.
In order to set up the MP-4200TH and connect it to the computer, you must have the following cables:

3. Insert end 1 of cable 2 into the DC IN port on the back of the MP-4200TH Thermal Printer.
4. Insert end 2 of cable 3 into USB Port on the back of the MP-4200TH Thermal Printer.

Bematech Cash Drawer – Hardware Connection
1. Take the cable protruding from the back of the cash
drawer.
2. Plug that cable into the Cash Drawer Port on the
back of the printer.
The Bematech Cash Drawer can be connected to the back of the MP-4200TH Thermal Printer in the Cash Drawer Port. Follow the steps below to connect it:

1. Select OK.
2. Select Finish.

3. Highlight any printer listed under the Printer tab (i.e. LR3000) and select Remove.
4. Highlight any cash drawer listed under the CashDrawer tab (i.e. LR3000CD) and select Remove.

5. Select the Printer tab then select New.
6. Use the dropdown next to Model to select the MP4200TH
option.

7. Use the dropdown next to Port Type to select the USB
option.
8. Use the dropdown next to Use Virtual to select the COM
port that is being used by the printer.

To check which COM port is being used by the printer we must open the Device Manager:
At the desktop select Start then right-click on Computer and select Manage.
Select Device Manager then open the hive next to Ports (COM & LPT).
The COM port selected in the configuration window should match the COM port number next to Logic Controls Virtual Serial
for LR3K Printers.
9. Select OK.

10. The printer has now been added.
11. Select the CashDrawer tab.

13. Use the dropdown next to To Printer to select the
MP4200TH.
14. Optionally enter a Device Name.
15. Enter 100 for Pulse ON time.
16. Use the dropdown next to Pin Low Meaning to select
Open.
17. The cash drawer has now been added.

2. Select Setup.
3. Select Friendly Printer Setup.
4. Select the MP4200TH as the receipt printer.
5. Select Cut receipt at this station.
6. Make sure OPOS is selected for Printer Type.
7. Select Save & Exit.
1. Open CRE/RPE and select the Manager/Options button.

10. Select OPOS:MP4200THCD as the Default Cash
Drawer Port.

1. Select Your Language.
2. Select I Accept.
The USB driver will automatically be installed.

LV 3000U Virtual Pole Display – Monitor Configuration
1. Right-click on the desktop and then select Screen
Resolution.
2. Select the monitor that you would like to extend the display
to, and then use the dropdown to select Extend these displays under Multiple displays.
3. Set the monitors screen resolution, under Resolution.
4. When done select OK.
Note: If the resolution can only be set to 800x400 then you must use the one of the specific color themes (Black-800, Blue­800, Red-800) in the virtual pole configuration.

1. There will be one cable to install the pole display.
Cable 1 is a USB connection. Connect Cable 1
into an available USB port on your computer (USB1).
Note: The device is powered through the USB connection.
The LV 3000U Pole Display:
To connect the LV 3000U to the SB-9015, follow these steps:

1. Select the Manager or Options button.
2. Enter the administrator password (default: admin) where
applicable.
3. Select Setup then, Setup Screen.
4. Select the Hardware tab and then the Page 1 tab.
5. Under Pole Display Type select Virtual(New).
6. Select Update.

Creating the Common Images Folder
1. Select Start.
2. Select My Computer.
3. Navigate to where you would like the folder created.
4. Right-click a blank area and then go to New and then
Folder.
5. Give the folder a name.
We will need to create a common images folder where all the images that are used will be copied to.
At this point of the installation we will need to restart the computer that the virtual pole display is attached to. Make sure to leave the pole display attached during the restart.

1. Select the Manager or Options button.

3. Select Setup then, Virtual Pole Configuration.
4. Select the Color Theme*.
Note: If the screen resolution can only be set to 800x400 then you must use the one of the specific color themes (Black-800, Blue­800, Red-800). If these options are not available please upgrade to the latest version of CRE/RPE.
5. Select the Text Size*.
6. Set the Number of seconds to display each graphic.
7. Set the Number of items to display.
8. For the Common Image Folder select the folder we created earlier by selecting Browse....
(*see below for sample logic controls screens)

9. Select the folder that you would like all of the images
copied to.
10. When done select OK.
11. For Image file for logo select Browse...

12. Select the file you would like to use as a logo and select
Open.
Depending on the resolution that was setup, will determine the size of the logo that can be used.
It is recommended for any resolution to have an aspect ratio of 1:3. For example 100px (H) X 300px (W).
On lower resolution screens it is recommended to use smaller images.
13. Select Browse... at the bottom right and select the images you would like to display at the bottom of the display.
Any Images selected will automatically be resized to fit underneath the items. It is recommended to use images with the aspect ratio of 1:3. For example 100px (H) X 300px (W).
14. Optionally you can choose to Display the slideshow.
15. If there is an image you don't want on the slideshow select it and then select Remove Selected Image.
16. When done select Show Virtual Pole Display.
17. If you have multiple monitors select Change display monitor (this computer only), this will cycle through each monitor until the
correct one is displaying the display.
18. When done select Save.

1. Right-click on the desktop and then select Screen

2. Select Identify. The monitors will have a large number
displayed on them, this will help you determine which one you would like to make the main display*.
3. After determining which monitor you would like to set as
the main display*, select Make this my main display.
4. When done select OK.
* The Main Display is the one that displays the invoice screen in CRE/RPE.
Troubleshooting the Virtual Pole Display
If after plugging in the virtual pole display, CRE/RPE is being displayed on another screen then please see the directions below:

3. Place the foam insert covering the screen on a flat
surface.
4. Place the monitor on top of the foam insert (screen
side down).
5. Note the location of the USB Port.

6. Unravel the USB cable that was supplied.
7. Route the cable through the monitor back-plate.
8. Connect the USB-A end to the port on the back of
the monitor.

9. Separate the monitor screws (pictured left).
10. Attach the monitor back-plate to the monitor and
screw in with the 4 monitor screws.
11. Retrieve the Base components from the package.

12. Connect the pole to the base, as pictured left.
13. Separate the base screws (pictured left).
14. Screw the base into the pole with the supplied base
screws.

15. Route the rest of the USB cable through the base as shown above.
16. Snap the pieces together as shown above.
17. Route the cable through the notch on the base.

Installing the USB Driver
**Make sure the device is unplugged for the driver installation.**
The USB driver for the Virtual Pole Display can be downloaded from:
http://download2.pcamerica.com/drivers/7/Manufacturer/Bematech/LV3000-LV4000-7.1.zip
3. Select Your Language.
4. Select I Accept.
The USB driver will automatically be installed. You can now connect the Pole Display.

1. Right-click on the desktop and then select Properties.
2. Select the Settings tab.
3. Select the monitor that you would like to extend the
display to, and then check to Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor.
4. Set the monitors screen resolution under Screen
resolution.
5. When done select OK.
Note: If the resolution can only be set to 800x400 then you must use the one of the specific color themes (Black-800, Blue-800, Red-800) in the virtual pole configuration section below.

The Image dimensions that can be used on the
standard size templates (Blue, Black and Red) are width=998 X Height=around 80 (in pixels).
The Image dimensions that can be used on the
800 size templates (Blue-800, Black-800 and Red-800) are width=760 X Height= around 50 (in pixels).
Note: As the Logo size increases, the amount of space for the images that are displayed will decrease. The image will be pushed down and might be cut it off at the monitor’s edge.
31. Select Browse... at the bottom right and select the images you would like to display at the bottom of the display.
The Image dimensions that can be used on the standard size templates (Blue, Black and Red) are width=998 X
Height=374 (in pixels).
The Image dimensions that can be used on the 800 size templates (Blue-800, Black-800 and Red-800) are
width=760 X Height=230 (in pixels).
Note: As the number of items to be displayed and Logo size increases, the amount of space for the images that are displayed will decrease. The image will be pushed down and might be cut it off at the monitor’s edge.
32. Optionally you can choose to Display the slideshow.

33. If there is an image you don't want on the slideshow highlight it and then select Remove Selected Image.
34. When done select Show Virtual Pole Display.
35. If you have multiple monitors select Change display monitor (this computer only), this will cycle through each
monitor until the correct one is displaying the display. When done select Save.

Installing and Configuring the MSR
1. Right click on the MSR Utility
and Run as Administrator.
2. Select Next.
3. Select Next.

We have installed the MSR Utility. Now we will want to configure the MSR using the utility.
1. Select Start.
2. Select All Programs and under the HID-
MSR folder, select the HIDMSR-20 Utility.
3. Make sure all of the settings in the MSR Utility match the settings in the photo above.
4. Select Update at the bottom left then close the utility.
