LINE CORD SAFETY TIPS

1. Never pull or yank on the cord or the appliance.

2. To insert plug, grasp it firmly and guide it into outlet.

3. To disconnect appliance, grasp plug and remove it from outlet.

4. Before each use, inspect the line cord for cuts and/or abrasion
marks. If any are found, this indicates that the appliance should be
serviced and the line cord replaced. Please return it to our Service
Department or to an authorized service representative.

5. Never wrap the cord tightly around the appliance, as this could
place undue stress on the cord where it enters the appliance and
cause it to fray and break.

DO NOT OPERATE APPLIANCE IF THE LINE CORD SHOWS ANY
DAMAGE, OR IF APPLIANCE WORKS INTERMITTENTLY OR STOPS
WORKING ENTIRELY.
IMPORTANT:During the first few minutes of initial use, there may be a

slight odor. This is normal and will quickly disappear.

HOW TO USE

This appliance is for household use and may be plugged into any AC
electrical outlet (ordinary household current). Do not use any other
electrical outlet.

WARNING: This multiple temperature styling comb has been specially
designed to straighten or style very coarse, thick hair. Due to this special
application, this styling comb will be hotter on the HI setting than regular
dual-heat stylers. Due to the extreme heat capabilities of this styling

comb, extra care should be taken when using.

• Keep unit away from contact with all skin areas. Do not touch comb
with fingertips.

• For shorter hair, place a thin plastic comb between scalp and styling
comb to avoid touching scalp.

• Place fingers of free hand on safety tip when more control is needed
for styling.

• Test small section of hair to determine correct heat setting for type
of hair.

TO USE: For a complete styling, hair should be clean, dry and free from
dirt, hair spray, creams, etc. (Of course, comb can always be used for
quick touch-ups and rescues any time.)

PRE-HEAT: Rest the comb on its built-in safety stand on a smooth, flat
surface, and plug in. Turn on, set the heat control at the desired position,
and allow comb to heat.

HOW TO GET PROFESSIONAL RESULTS WITH THIS STYLING COMB

This unique styling comb has been designed with multiple temperatures,
providing very high heat in the HI setting for straightening and styling
very coarse, thick, hair, and very low heat in the LO setting for
straightening and styling extra fine, damaged or dry hair. It also provides
a full range of heat settings between LO and HI, for all normal textures
and thicknesses of hair.

FOR FAST HEAT-UP, turn heat control dial to HI setting (it will take about
five minutes to heat up). Then, select a temperature according to the type
of hair you have (see below).

TEST A SMALL SECTION OF HAIR BEFORE USING; THEN ADJUST
TEMPERATURE ACCORDING TO YOUR NEEDS.

HI HEAT SETTING

This setting is very hot. Use it if hair is very
coarse and thick, but in good condition.

MED-HI TO MEDIUM

Use heat settings in this range for thick, wavy
hair in good condition.

MEDIUM TO MED-LO:

Use heat settings in this range for color-treated
hair in good condition.

LO HEAT SETTING

Use LO heat setting for very fine, fragile,
damaged or dry hair.

WARNING: Due to the extreme heat capabilities of this unit, the comb will
be very hot in the HI setting, so extra care should be taken when using.

CARE AND CLEANING

This appliance requires little maintenance and contains no user
serviceable parts. Do not try to repair it yourself. Refer it to qualified
service personnel if servicing is needed.

TO CLEAN: Unplug styling comb and allow to cool. Comb must be cleaned
only when cold. Use a soft, slightly damp cloth to wipe the handle. Do not
allow water or any other liquid to go into handle of the comb.
TO STORE: Unplug appliance and let it cool; store in its box or in a clean,
dry place. Store the cord loosely coiled. Never wrap the cord around unit;
this could cause the cord to wear prematurely and break. Do not put any
stress on cord where it enters the handle, as it could cause cord to fray
and possibly break. Never hang unit up by the power cord.

COMO USAR

Este artefacto es para uso doméstico y puede ser enchufado en cualquier

MODO DE USARSE Para un mejor acabado, el cabello debe estar limpio,
seco y libre de laca, cremas, etc. (Por supuesto, el peine puede ser usado

BAJA TEMPERATURA

Use temperatura Mínima (LO) para cabellos muy
finos, frágiles, dañados o secos.

PRECAUCION: Dada la capacidad para una extrema temperatura de esta
unidad, el peine estará muy caliente en la posición BAJA (LO), se
recomienda mucho cuidado cuando se esté usando.

CUIDADO Y LIMPIEZA

Este artefacto requiere poco mantenimiento y no tiene piezas que puedan
ser reparadas. No trate de repararlo usted mismo. Si necesita reparación
remítalo a personas calificadas.

PARA LIMPIAR:Desenchufe la unidad y déjela que enfríe. El peine
solamente debe limpiarse cuando esté frío. Use un paño suave,
ligeramente húmedo para limpiar el mango. No deje que penetre agua
u otro líquido al mango del peine.

PARA GUARDAR:Desconecte el artefacto, déjelo enfriar y guárdelo en su
misma caja o en un lugar seco y limpio. Enrolle el cordón suavemente, sin
ajustarlo. Nunca lo envuelva ajustado alrededor de su unidad, esto
podría causar que se gaste prematuramente y rompa. No ponga presión
al cordón donde éste entra al mango, ya que esto podría causar el
desgaste del cordón y su posible rotura. Nunca cuelgue la unidad por
el cordón.

■ Do not place the heated unit directly on any surface while it is hot
or still plugged in. Use the safety stand provided.

■ Do not use an extension cord with this appliance.

POLARIZED PLUG

This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other).
As a safety feature, this plug fits in a polarized outlet only one way. If
the plug does not fit into the outlet, reverse the plug and try again. If it
still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat
this safety feature.
