Features
UPS Network Management
Bulldog Plus Shutdown Software enables you to monitor and manage all your servers or workstations through your LAN. When a power problem occurs, the software sends emergency alerts via e-mail, pager, or telecommunication device.
Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR)
AVR technology increases “low” or decreases “high” voltage to a safe 110 to 120 volts. AVR protects your computer from damage and lost data. It monitors incoming electricity and smoothes out low- and high-voltage conditions, ensuring delivery of only safe, “clean” electricity (110-120 volts). A wide range of errant line voltage levels—such as brownouts, surges, or spikes—are converted by AVR into safe electricity for your computer. In a power outage or brownout, our AVR unit automatically switches your computer to battery backup power, and gives you time to save open
files and safely power off. In addition, the unit’s high-performance surge protection continually guards against spikes, noise, surges, lightning, and other common electrical irregularities that can cause damage to your data or equipment.
Bulldog Shutdown Software
Belkin UPS products can save your valuable equipment as well as ensure your peace of mind when a power crisis occurs. From our Home Office and Universal series to our Network series, you are protected with either our Bulldog Software or our
advanced Bulldog Plus Shutdown Software. Our Bulldog Shutdown Software is compatible with all Windows® operating system versions, including Windows XP. For use with other operating systems, please consult our UPS Software Compatibility chart at http://www.belkin.com/support/compatlists/UPS.html.

Emergency Battery Backup
Each year, several natural and man-made occurrences, such as lightning, surges, spikes, sags, and brownouts, jeopardize the power supplied to your home or office workstations. A study by IBM Corporation estimates that your home or office sustains an average of over 260 power disturbances per year, with some geographical areas seeing that number rise to
more than 400. The same study concludes that your computer undergoes over 125 potentially harmful electrical events each month.
Belkin offers a complete line of Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), or battery backup, products that protect your data and equipment against these damaging power disturbances.
Belkin Data Recovery Warranty
Your computer’s hard drive is protected against malfunction caused by power failure. Should such malfunction occur due to failure of the Belkin UPS to protect your PC while it is properly connected to the UPS, Belkin will provide professional data recovery services at no cost to you. The service to salvage remaining data and recover lost data will be performed by ActionFront Data Recovery Labs—ActionFront.com.
ActionFront, a world leader in data recovery, offers a solution based on a set of integrated, flexible services and tools ready to respond to nearly every data loss situation.
Connected Equipment Warranty (CEW)
The Belkin UPS is also backed with a Connected Equipment Warranty. This warranty specifies that Belkin will repair or replace, up to the value specified on the box, any properly connected equipment if it is damaged by a surge, including surges due to lightning strikes.
Belkin 3-Year Product Warranty
This product is backed by a three-year product warranty against manufacturing defects.
EcoBattery Replacement Program
In the event the UPS needs a battery replacement, Belkin offers its EcoBattery Replacement Program. This program offers a battery replacement and a two-year extended product warranty. It also ensures that the battery in the UPS is discarded properly in an effort to keep our environment clean.

Glossary of Terms
BROWNOUT: occurs when the voltage drops below the normal 110V–120V for an
extended period of time. SAG: lasts for a short duration, such as when your washing machine turns on and
you notice the lights go dim for a split second. SNMP: stands for Simple Network Management Protocol. An SNMP card allows a
UPS to connect to a Large Area Network (LAN). The user will be able to monitor and control the UPS from any PC on the LAN, using either SNMP protocol and an SNMP network management platform or a web browser.
SPIKE: is a significant increase in voltage. A spike can enter electronic equipment through AC, network serial, phone, or coaxial lines and can damage or completely destroy components.
SURGE: is a short-term increase in voltage. A surge occurs when large loads are suddenly turned off or when power companies switch power distribution across your particular grid.
TVSS: stands for Transient Voltage Surge Suppressor. A TVSS card allows users to protect phone, fax, or network lines from power disturbances.
