Transportation instructions

1. The appli ance sh ould be transp orted o nly in a n upright position. The packing as supplied must be intact duri ng tra nsport ation .
2. If during the transport the appliance, has been positioned horizontally, it must not be operated for at least 4 hours, to allow the system to settle.
3. Failure to comply with the above instructions could res ult i n d amag e to the appli anc e, for w hic h the manufacturer will not be held liable.

Installation instructions

• Put the back airing lid to the back of your refriger ator to s et the di stan ce betw een the refrigerator and the wall (Item 3).
4. The appli ance sh ould be positioned on a smooth surface. The two front feet can be adjusted as requir ed. To ensure that yo ur applianc e is stand ing upr ight adjust t he two fr ont feet by t urning cl ock wise or anti-clockwise, until firm contact is secured with the floor. Correct adjustment of feet prevents excessive vibration and noise (Item 4).

The timer is a device for automatic defrost. After a the defrost of your refrigerator.

Guidelines for obtaining optimum storage and hygiene:
1. The fridge compartment is for the short-term storage of fresh food and drinks.
2. The freezer compartment is rated and suitable for the freezing and storage of pre-frozen food. The recommendation for storage as stated on the food packaging should be observed at all ti mes.

4. Co oked dis hes sho uld be st ored i n airtig ht containers.
5. Fresh wrapped produce can be kept on the shelf. Fre sh frui t and veg etabl es shoul d be cleaned and stored in the crispers.

7. To store raw meat, wrap in polythene bags and place on the lowest shelf. Do not allow to come into cont act w it h c ooked food, to avoid contamination. For safety, only store raw meat for two to thr ee days .
8. For maxi mum e fficie ncy, the remov able materials to allow free circulation of cool air.
9. Do not keep vegetable oil on door shelves. Keep the food packed, wrapped or c overed. Allow hot food and beverages to cool befor e refrigerating. Leftover canned food should not be stor ed in the can.
10. Fizzy drinks should not be frozen and products suc h as flav our ed wat er i ces should not be consumed too cold.
11. Some fruit and vegetables suffer damage if kept at tem peratur es near 0°C. T herefor e wrap pineapples, melons, cucumbers, tomatoes and similar produce in polythene bags.
12. High-proof al cohol m ust be st ored upr ight in tightly cl os ed co ntai ners . Nev er st ore pr oduc ts that contai n an inf lamma ble prop ella nt gas (e.g . cream dis pens ers , spr ay c ans, etc .) or exp losi ve substances. These are an explosion hazard.

Temperature control and adjustment

Operating temper atur es are co ntroll ed by th e setting knob (Item 5) located on the ceiling of fridge com partme nt. Set tings may be m ade fro m MIN, 1 ... 4, MAX, MAX being the coldest position. When the appliance is switched on for the first time, the setting knob should be adjusted so that after 24 hours, the average fridge temperature is no higher than +5°C (+41°F). We recommend you set the knob half way between the MIN and MAX setting and monitor to obtain the desired temperature i.e. towards MAX you will obtain a col der fri dge te mperatur e an d vic e v ers a.

Before you start using the appliance check that:

Storing frozen food

Your freez er is sui table for the l ong-term st orag e of commerci ally fr ozen f oods an d also ca n be used to freeze and store fresh food. If there is a power fail ure, do not ope n the do or. Froz en foo d should not be affected if the failure lasts for less than 16 hrs. If the failure is longer, then the food should be checked and either eaten immediately or cooked and then re-frozen.

Fill the ice - cube tray 3/4 full with water and place it in the freezer. Loosen frozen trays with a spoon handle or a si milar implem ent; nev er use s harp­edged obje cts suc h as kniv es or for ks.

Defrosting

A) Fridge compartment

The fridge compartment defrosts automatically. The defrost water runs to the drain tube via a collecti on cont ainer at the back of the a pplianc e (Item 6). Duri ng defr osti ng, wat er dropl ets may form at the back of the fridge compartment where a concealed evapor ator is l ocat ed. Som e dr oplet s may remain on the liner and refreeze when defrosting is co mpleted . Do not use poin ted or sharp-edged objects such as knives or forks to remove the droplets which have refrozen. If, at any time, th e defros t wat er does n ot drai n from the collection channel, check that no food particles have bl ocked t he drai n tube. The dr ain tube can be cleared with a pipe-cleaner or si milar implement. Check that the tube is permanently placed w ith i ts e nd i n the coll ect ing tray on t he compress or to prev ent the water spilli ng on the electric installation or on the floor (Item 7).

B) Freezer compartment

The NO FROST type defrost is completely automatic. No intervention from your side is required. Th e wat er is co llec ted on t he compress or tray . Due th e heat of the compressor the water is evaporated.
Do not use pointed or sharp-edged objects, such as kn iv es or for ks to rem ove t he f ro st.
Never use hairdr yers, ele ctrical heat ers or other such electric al appl iance s for d efrosti ng. Sp onge out the defr ost w ater collected in the bottom of the freezer comp artmen t. Aft er defr osting, dry the interior th oroughly (Item 8 & 9). Insert the pl ug into the wall soc ket an d switc h on the electri city su pply.

The fan inside the f reezer comp artment circ ulates cold air. Never inser t any object thr ough t he guar d.
Never stor e produ cts tha t contai n infl ammabl e propella nt gas ( e.g. disp enser s, s pr ay c ans et c.) or explosiv e subs tances . Don’ t cover the shelv es with any protec tive ma terial s, whi ch may obstruc t air circul ation. Do not al low ch ildre n to play with the appliance or tamper with the controls. Do not obstruct t he freez er fa n guard t o ensure that yo u obtain the best possible performance from your appliance (Item 10).

Your applian ce is fitted w ith a circ ulating fan w hich is essential for the performa nce of the fre ezer. Please ensure th e fan is not block ed (stoppe d) or impaired by food or packaging . Blocking (stopping ) or impairing the fan can r esult in an increas e of the internal fr eezer te mperat ure (Thaw ing).

Replacing the interior light bulb

To change the Bulb/LED used for illumination of your refr iger ator , cal l y our Auth oris ed S erv ice. The lamp(s ) u sed i n thi s appli anc e is not s uit able for household room illumination. The intended purpose of this lamp is to assist the user to place foodstuffs in the refrigerator/freezer in a safe and comfortabl e w ay. The lamps used in this applianc e have to w ithst and extr eme p hysic al conditions such as temperatures below -20°C.

Cleaning and care

1. We recommend that you switch off the appliance at the socket outlet and pull out the mains plug b efore c leani ng.
2. Nev er use a ny shar p instru ments or abras ive substances, soap, household cleaner, detergent or wax polis h for cleaning.

• To remove t he dairy cover, first l ift the cover u p by about an inch and pull it off from the side where there is an opening on the cover.
• To remove a door tray , remov e all t he conte nts and then sim ply pus h the door tray u pwards from the base.
12. Make s ur e tha t t he spe cial pl astic con tain er a t the back of the appliance which collects defrost water is clean at all times. If you want to remove the tray t o cl ean it, foll ow the i nstr uct ions bel ow:
• Switch off at the socket outlet and pull out the mains plug.
• Gently uncrimp the stud on the compressor, using a pair of plier s, so t hat the tray can be removed.
• Lift it up.
• Clean and wipe it dry.
• Reasse mble, r ev ersi ng t he s eque nce a nd operations.
13. To remov e a draw er, pull it as far as possi ble, tilt it upwards and then pull it out completely.

Proceed in numerical order (Item 11).

and adhere to "Best Before" and "Use by" etc. dates.
