mit dem Kauf des Pita King haben Sie sich für ein Qualitätspro­dukt von BEEM entschieden. Das Pita- und Crêpe-Backgerät
ist 3-fach antihaft versiegelt und eignet sich hervorragend zum Backen von Pita-/Fladenbrot, Crêpe und Pfannkuchen oder zum fettfreien Grillen von Fleisch.
Lesen Sie die hier enthaltenen Informationen, damit Sie mit Ihrem Gerät schnell vertraut werden und seine Funktionen in vollem Umfang nutzen können.
Ihr Gerät dient Ihnen viele Jahre lang, wenn Sie es sachgerecht
behandeln und pegen.

Diese Bedienungsanleitung ist Bestandteil des Pita King (nach-
folgend als Gerät bezeichnet) und gibt Ihnen wichtige Hinweise für die Inbetriebnahme, die Sicherheit, den bestimmungsgemä­ßen Gebrauch und die Pege des Gerätes.
Die Bedienungsanleitung muss ständig in der Nähe des Gerätes verfügbar sein. Sie ist von jeder Person zu lesen und anzuwen­den, die mit der Bedienung, Störungsbehebung und/oder Reini­gung des Gerätes beauftragt ist.
Bewahren Sie diese Bedienungsanleitung auf und geben Sie diese mit dem Gerät an Nachbesitzer weiter.

Dieses Gerät ist vorwiegend für den nicht gewerblichen Gebrauch in geschlossenen Räumen zum Backen von Pita-/Fladenbrot, Pfannkuchen und Crêpe oder fettfreiem Grillen von Fleisch be­stimmt.
Eine andere oder darüber hinausgehende Benutzung gilt als nicht bestimmungsgemäß.

Dieses Gerät entspricht den vorgeschriebenen Sicherheitsbestim­mungen. Ein unsachgemäßer Gebrauch kann jedoch zu Perso­nen- und Sachschäden führen.
Beachten Sie für einen sicheren Umgang mit dem Gerät die folgenden grundlegenden Sicherheitshinweise sowie die in den einzelnen Kapiteln separat aufgeführten Hinweise:
Grundlegende Sicherheitshinweise
Kontrollieren Sie das Gerät vor der Verwendung auf äußere ■ sichtbare Schäden. Nehmen Sie ein beschädigtes Gerät nicht
in Betrieb.
Das Gerät während des Betriebes nie unbeaufsichtigt lassen. ■ Ziehen Sie den Netzstecker nie an der Zuleitung aus der ■
Steckdose, sondern fassen Sie immer den Netzstecker an.
Ziehen Sie den Heißgerätestecker nie an der Zuleitung aus ■ der Anschlussbuchse, sondern fassen Sie immer den Heißge-
rätestecker an.
Personen, die aufgrund ihrer körperlichen, geistigen oder ■ motorischen Fähigkeiten nicht in der Lage sind, das Gerät sicher zu bedienen, dürfen das Gerät nur unter Aufsicht oder Anweisung durch eine verantwortliche Person benutzen.
Lassen Sie Reparaturen am Gerät nur von autorisierten Fach- ■ händlern oder vom Werkskundendienst durchführen. Durch unsachgemäße Reparaturen können erhebliche Gefahren für den Benutzer entstehen. Zudem erlischt der Garantiean­spruch.
Eine Reparatur des Gerätes während der Garantiezeit darf ■ nur von einem vom Hersteller autorisierten Kundendienst vor­genommen werden, sonst besteht bei Schäden und nachfol­genden Schäden kein Garantieanspruch mehr.
Defekte Bauteile dürfen nur gegen Original-Ersatzteile ausge- ■ tauscht werden. Nur bei diesen Teilen ist gewährleistet, dass die Sicherheitsanforderungen erfüllt werden.

oder Bauteilen besteht Lebensgefahr!
Beachten Sie die folgenden Sicherheitshinweise, um eine Ge­fährdung durch elektrischen Strom zu vermeiden:
Benutzen Sie das Gerät nicht, wenn die Anschlussleitung, ► der Netzstecker oder der Heißgerätestecker beschädigt
sind.
Öffnen Sie auf keinen Fall das Gehäuse des Gerätes. ► Werden spannungsführende Anschlüsse berührt und der elektrische und mechanische Aufbau verändert, besteht Stromschlaggefahr.
Tauchen Sie das Gerät oder die Anschlussleitung niemals in ►
Wasser oder andere Flüssigkeiten.

Verpackungsmaterialien dürfen nicht zum Spielen verwendet ► werden. Es besteht Erstickungsgefahr.
Beachten Sie die Hinweise zu den Anforderungen an den ► Aufstellort sowie zum elektrischen Anschluss des Gerätes, um Personen- und Sachschäden zu vermeiden.
Auspacken
Entnehmen Sie das Gerät, alle Zubehörteile und die Bedie- nungsanleitung aus dem Karton.
Entfernen Sie vor dem Erstgebrauch alle Verpackungsmateri- alien und Schutzfolien vom Gerät und den Zubehörteilen.

Prüfen Sie die Lieferung auf Vollständigkeit und auf sichtba- ► re Schäden. Melden Sie eine unvollständige oder beschä­digte Lieferung umgehend Ihrem Lieferanten/Händler.
Entsorgung der Verpackung
Die Verpackung schützt das Gerät vor Transportschäden. Die Verpackungsmaterialien sind nach umweltverträglichen und ent­sorgungstechnischen Gesichtspunkten ausgewählt und deshalb
recyclebar.
Die Rückführung der Verpackung in den Materialkreislauf spart Rohstoffe und verringert das Abfallaufkommen. Entsorgen Sie nicht mehr benötigte Verpackungsmaterialien gemäß den örtlich geltenden Vorschriften.
HINWEIS
Heben Sie wenn möglich die Originalverpackung während ► der Garantiezeit des Gerätes auf, um das Gerät im Garantie­fall ordnungsgemäß verpacken zu können. Transportschä­den führen zum Erlöschen des Garantieanspruchs.
Anforderungen an den Aufstellort
Für einen sicheren und fehlerfreien Betrieb des Gerätes muss der Aufstellort folgende Voraussetzungen erfüllen:
Stellen Sie das Gerät auf eine trockene, ebene, stabile, hitze- ■ beständige und gegen Wasserspritzer geschützte Unterlage.
Stellen Sie das Gerät nicht in einer heißen, nassen oder sehr ■ feuchten Umgebung oder in der Nähe von brennbarem Mate­rial auf.
Wählen Sie den Aufstellort so, dass Kinder nicht an die heißen ■ Oberächen des Gerätes gelangen können.
Die verwendete Steckdose muss leicht zugänglich sein, um im ■ Notfall das Gerät schnell vom Stromkreis trennen zu können.

Elektrischer Anschluss
Für einen sicheren und fehlerfreien Betrieb des Gerätes sind beim elektrischen Anschluss folgende Hinweise zu beachten:
Vergleichen Sie vor dem Anschließen des Gerätes die ■ Anschlussdaten (Spannung und Frequenz) auf dem Typen­schild mit denen Ihres Elektronetzes. Diese Daten müssen übereinstimmen, damit keine Schäden am Gerät auftreten. Im Zweifelsfall fragen Sie Ihren Elektrofachhändler.
Der Anschluss des Gerätes an das Elektronetz darf maximal ■ über ein 3 Meter langes, abgewickeltes Verlängerungskabel mit einem Querschnitt von 1,5 mm² erfolgen. Die Verwendung von Mehrfachsteckern oder Steckdosenleisten ist wegen der damit verbundenen Brandgefahr verboten.
Vergewissern Sie sich, dass die Anschlussleitung unbeschä- ■ digt ist und nicht über heiße Oberächen und/oder scharfe
Kanten verlegt wird.
Die Anschlussleitung darf nicht straff gespannt sein oder ■
geknickt werden.
Verlegen Sie die Anschlussleitung so, dass keine Stolperge- ■ fahr besteht.
Die ■ elektrische Sicherheit des Gerätes ist nur dann gewähr- leistet, wenn es an ein vorschriftsmäßig installiertes Schutzlei­tersystem angeschlossen wird. Der Betrieb an einer Steckdo­se ohne Schutzleiter ist verboten. Lassen Sie im Zweifelsfall die Hausinstallation durch eine Elektro-Fachkraft überprüfen. Der Hersteller übernimmt keine Verantwortung für Schäden, die durch einen fehlenden oder unterbrochenen Schutzleiter
verursacht werden.

Das Thermostat ermöglicht Ihnen die stufenlose Einstellung der Temperatur.
Zum Einstellen der Temperatur gehen Sie wie folgt vor:
Drehen Sie den Reglerknopf, bis sich die gewünschte Tem- peraturstufe auf Höhe der Einkerbung am Rand des Oberteils bendet.

Vor dem ersten Gebrauch
Heizen Sie das Gerät vor dem ersten Gebrauch auf, um evtl. Montagerückstände (Fette) zu beseitigen. Gehen Sie dafür wie folgt vor:
Wischen Sie das Gerät mit einem feuchten Tuch ab.
Drehen Sie den Reglerknopf gegen den Uhrzeigersinn bis zum Anschlag (AUS).
Schließen Sie das Gerät an, indem Sie den Heißgeräteste- cker in die Anschlussbuchse am Gerät und den Netzstecker
in eine Steckdose stecken.
Stellen Sie den Reglerknopf auf Stufe 5 und warten Sie bis
die grüne Kontrollleuchte erlischt.
Stellen Sie den Reglerknopf auf den 2. roten Strich (maxima- le Stufe).
HINWEIS
Eine leichte Rauchentwicklung ist dabei völlig normal. Sor- ► gen Sie für ausreichende Belüftung.
Schalten Sie nach 2 Minuten das Gerät aus, indem Sie den Reglerknopf gegen den Uhrzeigersinn bis zum Anschlag dre­hen und den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose ziehen.
Lassen Sie das Gerät etwa 15 Minuten abkühlen.
Wischen Sie das Gerät mit einem feuchten Tuch ab.
Das Gerät ist jetzt einsatzbereit.

In diesem Kapitel erhalten Sie wichtige Hinweise zur Bedienung
des Gerätes.
Sicherheitshinweise
WARNUNG
Verbrennungsgefahr!
Alle Teile des Gerätes werden während des Betriebes sehr heiß!
Berühren Sie das Gerät während des Betriebes nicht. ►
ACHTUNG
Beschädigung der Antihaftbeschichtung durch Zerkratzen!
Verwenden Sie auf der Backplatte keine kratzenden Beste- ► cke, sondern einen Pfannenwender aus Holz.
Gerät betreiben
Drehen Sie den Reglerknopf gegen den Uhrzeigersinn bis zum Anschlag (AUS).
Schließen Sie das Gerät an, indem Sie den Heißgeräteste- cker in die Anschlussbuchse am Gerät und den Netzstecker
in eine Steckdose stecken.
Die rote Kontrollleuchte signalisiert die Betriebsbereitschaft des
Gerätes.
Stellen Sie den Reglerknopf auf die gewünschte Temperatur- stufe; siehe Tabelle im Kapitel Bedienelemente.
Die grüne Kontrollleuchte leuchtet auf und signalisiert, das dass Gerät aufheizt. Nach Erreichen der eingestellten Temperatur erlischt die grüne Kontrollleuchte automatisch.
HINWEIS
Haben Sie den 2. roten Strich (höchste Temperaturstufe) ► eingestellt, kann es passieren, dass die grüne Kontrollleuch­te nicht erlischt, weil das Gerät ständig heizt.

Beginnen Sie mit dem Backen.
HINWEIS
Sinkt die Temperatur ab, schaltet sich das Thermostat und ► damit auch die grüne Kontrollleuchte automatisch wieder ein und bringt die Temperatur wieder auf die eingestellte Stufe.
Backen von Fladenbrot
Stellen Sie den Reglerknopf auf Stufe 5.
Warten Sie bis die grüne Kontrollleuchte erlischt.
Rollen Sie den Teig maximal auf den Durchmesser der Back- platte aus.
Legen Sie den Teig zum Backen auf die Backplatte.
Wenden Sie das Brot, um zu sehen, wie weit es schon geba-
cken ist.
In der Regel muss das Brot etwa 1 Minute pro Seite gebacken
werden.

Backen von Crêpe
Stellen Sie den Reglerknopf auf Stufe 4.
Warten Sie bis die grüne Kontrollleuchte erlischt.
Gießen Sie den Crêpe-Teig in die Mitte der Backplatte und verteilen Sie den Teig gleichmäßig.
Die Größe des Crêpe richtet sich nach der Teigmenge, die Sie
verwenden.
Wenden Sie den Crêpe möglichst schnell.
In der Regel muss der Crêpe nur einige Sekunden pro Seite
gebacken werden.
Grillen von Fleisch und Wurst
Beim Grillen werden unterschiedliche Temperaturen bevorzugt.
Stellen Sie den Reglerknopf auf die gewünschte Temperatur- stufe; siehe Tabelle im Kapitel Bedienelemente.
Warten Sie bis die grüne Kontrollleuchte erlischt.
Legen Sie die zu grillenden Speisen auf die Backplatte.
HINWEIS
Beim Grillen von Fleisch oder Wurst ießt das Fett an den ► Rand in die dafür vorgesehene Mulde. Entfernen Sie das Fett nach dem Grillen mit einem weichen saugfähigen Tuch,
wenn das Gerät abgekühlt ist.
Gerät ausschalten
Nach dem Benutzen drehen Sie den Reglerknopf gegen den Uhr­zeigersinn bis zum Anschlag (AUS) und ziehen Sie den Netzste-
cker aus der Steckdose.

Disposal of the packaging
The packaging protects the appliance from transport dam­age. The packaging materials have been selected according to environmental and waste disposal aspects and can therefore be
recycled.
The return of the packaging to the material cycle helps conserve raw materials and reduces the production of waste. When no longer required, dispose of the packaging materials in accord­ance with the local regulations in force.
NOTE
Keep the original packaging, if possible, during the warranty ► period in order to be able to pack the appliance properly in the event of a warranty claim. Transport damage will void all warranty claims.
Demands on the installation location
For safe and trouble-free operation of the appliance, the installa­tion location has to satisfy the following requirements:
Place the appliance on a dry, level, sturdy heat resistant sur- ■ face where it is protected from splashing water.
Do not install the appliance in a hot, wet or very humid envi- ■ ronment or in the vicinity of inammable materials.
Select the installation location in such a way that children can- ■ not touch the hot surfaces of the appliance.
The socket to be used has to be easily accessible in order to ■ be able to disconnect the appliance from the electric circuit fast in case of an emergency.

Electrical connection
For safe and trouble-free operation of the appliance, the following instructions have to be observed for the electrical connection:
Before connecting the appliance, check the connection data ■ (voltage and frequency) on the rating plate with those of your mains power supply. This data must correspond in order to avoid damage to the appliance. If in any doubt, ask your elec­trical appliance dealer.
The appliance may be connected to the mains power supply ■ by an unwound extension lead not more than 3 metres long and with a cross-section of 1.5 mm². The use of multiway adapters or multiple socket outlets is forbidden due to the as­sociated re hazard.
Ensure that the connecting lead is undamaged and is not laid ■ over hot surfaces or sharp edges.
The connecting lead must not be strained or kinked. ■ Lay the connecting lead in such a way that it does not pose a ■
tripping hazard. The ■ electrical safety of the appliance is only assured when
it is connected to a properly installed protective earth (PE) conductor system. Connection to a plug socket without PE conductor is forbidden. If in doubt, have the house installation checked by a qualied electrician. The manufacturer as­sumes no liability for injury or damage caused by a missing or interrupted protective earth conductor.

Prior to rst use
Heat up the appliance before using for the rst time to remove any residues from the assembly process (greases). Proceed as follows:
Wipe the appliance with a moist cloth.
Turn the control knob in anti-clockwise direction as far as it will go (OFF).
Connect up the appliance by inserting the heating appliance plug into the jack on the appliance and the mains plug into a plug socket.
Turn the control knob to level 5 and wait until the green indi- cator light goes out.
Turn the control knob to the 2nd red mark (maximum level).
NOTE
Slight smoke development is completely normal. Ensure suf- ► cient ventilation.
After 2 minutes, switch off the appliance by turning the control knob in anti-clockwise direction as far as it will go and pull the mains plug out of the plug socket.
Allow the appliance to cool down for around 15 minutes.
Wipe the appliance with a moist cloth.
The appliance is now ready for use.

Operation and function
This chapter contains important information on the operation of the appliance.
Safety precautions
WARNING
Danger of burns! All parts of the appliance become very hot during opera-
tion!
Do not touch the appliance during operation. ►
CAUTION
Damage to the non-stick coating by scratching!
Do not use sharp cutlery on the baking plate; use a wooden ► spatula.
Using the appliance
Turn the control knob in anti-clockwise direction as far as it will go (OFF).
Connect up the appliance by inserting the heating appliance plug into the jack on the appliance and the mains plug into a plug socket.
The red indicator light signals that the appliance is ready for use.
Turn the control knob to the desired temperature level; see table in chapter Operating elements.
The green indicator light comes on and signals that the appliance is heating up. When the set temperature is reached, the green indicator light goes out automatically.
NOTE
If you have set the 2nd red mark (highest temperature level) ► it is possible that the green indicator light does not go out because the appliance is heating constantly.

Starting baking.
NOTE
If the temperature drops, the thermostat and hence also the ► green indicator light switches on again automatically and brings the temperature up to the set level again.
Making pita bread
Turn the control knob to level 5.
Wait until the green indicator light goes out.
Roll out the dough to not more than the diameter of the bak- ing plate.
Place the dough onto the baking plate to bake.
Turn over the bread to see how well done it already is.
As a rule the bread needs to be baked for roughly 1 minute on
each side.

Making crêpes
Turn the control knob to level 4.
Wait until the green indicator light goes out.
Pour the crêpe mixture into the middle of the baking plate and spread it uniformly over the plate.
The size of the crêpe depends on the amount of mixture you use.
Turn over the crêpe as quickly as possible.
As a rule the crêpe only needs to be baked for a few seconds on
each side.
Grilling of meat and sausages
Different temperatures are preferred for grilling.
Turn the control knob to the desired temperature level; see table in chapter Operating elements.
Wait until the green indicator light goes out.
Place the food to be grilled onto the baking plate.
NOTE
During grilling of meat or sausage, the fat runs into the re- ► cess provided around the edge of the baking plate. Remove the fat after grilling using a soft absorbent cloth after the appliance has cooled down.
Switch off appliance
After use, turn the control knob in anti-clockwise direction as far as it will go (OFF) and pull the mains plug out of the plug socket.

Cleaning and care
This chapter contains important information on cleaning and care of the appliance.
Safety precautions
WARNING
Observe the following safety precautions before starting to clean the appliance:
Swith off the appliance and remove the connecting lead ► before cleaning.
Wait until the appliance has cooled down before you start to ►
clean it.
Never immerse the appliance or the connecting lead in water ► or other liquids.
Cleaning
CAUTION
Damage to the non-stick coating by scratching!
Never use sharp objects or abrasive cleaning agents to ► clean the baking plate in order to avoid damaging the non-
stick coating.
Clean the appliance after every use. ■ Wipe down all parts of the appliance with a damp cloth. ■
NOTE
For regular care and also for removal of stubborn stains, we ► recommend the use of INOX METAL POLISH from Beem. This polish returns the original gloss to your appliances. It is available in tubes and is suitable not only for cooking uten­sils, but also for all other objects of stainless steel, chrome, brass, copper, aluminium, silver and even rigid plastics.

Storage
Should you not require the appliance for a prolonged period, remove the connecting lead and clean it as described in chapter Cleaning and care. Store the appliance in a dry, clean and frost­free place.
Disposal
Within the European Community, this product must not be dis­posed of in the domestic refuse.
Dispose of the appliance in accordance with the EC Directive 2002/96/EC-WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment). Should you have any questions, please contact your local author­ity responsible for waste disposal.

Warranty disclaimer: The warranty does not cover faults caused in particular by improper use, failure to observe the instruction manual and safety precautions, use of force, modications, unau­thorised attempted repairs and attempted repairs by unqualied third parties. Also excluded are faults caused by normal wear.
If we are obliged by law to provide a warranty we will – to the exclusion of the right to cancellation or price reduction – meet this obligation – at our discretion – by repairing or replacing the product free of charge. Should the remedy fail despite several at­tempts or should the replacement product exhibit faults attributa­ble to us, the customer shall be entitled – at his/her discretion – to reduce the purchase price or to cancel the contract. Claims under warranty do not prolong the warranty period. For exchange or return of the appliance (withdrawal from the purchase contract) or reduction of the purchase price, the rst contact is always the dealer from whom you purchased the product. This applies in particular to the return of the appliance or claims for reductions in the purchase price as these have to be settled in the light of the purchase price. The refund of the purchase price or a credit in the event of a reduction in the purchase price can only be handled by the dealer from whom you purchased the appliance.
Should - contrary to expectations - faults occur, please try to resolve the matter by telephone rst. Should this not be success­ful, please send the carefully packed appliance to your dealer or to the After-sales Service address shown below. Please indicate your complete address, type and model number and the serial number of the appliance. This information can be found on the rating plate of the appliance. Please describe the fault or defect in as much detail as possible. The product or spare part order should be accompanied by a printed and dated receipt of pur­chase or invoice. Without a printed receipt of purchase or invoice, no services under warranty can be provided, whether for repairs, spare parts or other claims.

Ambalaj cihazı nakliye esnasında oluşabilecek hasarlara karşı korur. Ambalaj malzemesi çevreye uyumluluk ve atık yönetim teknikleri göz önünde bulundurularak seçilmiştir ve bu yüzden yeniden değerlendirilebilir.

Cihazın güvenli ve hatasız çalıştırılması için elektrik bağlantısı ile ilgili aşağıda belirtilen bilgileri dikkate alınız.
Cihazı elektriğe takmadan önce tip plakası üzerindeki hat ■ bağlantı parametreleri (gerilim ve frekans) ile şebekenizin parametrelerini birbiriyle karşılaştırınız. Cihazı güç beslemesine bağlarken en fazla 3 metre uzunlu- ■ ğunda, kesiti 1,5 mm² olan, sargısı açılmış bir uzatma kablosu kullanılabilir. Çoklu prizlerin veya grup priz modüllerinin kulla­nımı bununla bağlantılı yangın tehlikesinden dolayı yasaktır.
Bağlantı kablosunun hasarlı olmadığından ve sıcak ve/veya ■ keskin zemin üzerinden geçmediğinden emin olunuz.
