Disconnect negative cable
Place vehicle on sturdy jackstands or use a drive on lift to raise vehicle.
Remove the hose clamp at the throttle body, unplug the mass air sensor, if equipped, and
remove the complete assembly for clearance.
Remove the AIR injection assembly from the passenger side of the engine compartment.
Working from under the vehicle, unplug the Oxygen Sensors (O2 sensors). Remove the
air tube from the stock h-pipe. Disconnect H-pipe from the exhaust manifold and from
the rear flow pipes. Remove stock H-pipe assembly.
Remove the spark plugs. Remove the stock exhaust manifolds and clean the h ead surface
Of any gasket debris. Remove dipstick tube on driverside.
Remove the starter. This will allow easier access when installing the passenger side header.
The starter can be reinstalled after the header is mocked inplace with a couple of bolts to
Hold it. Then the header tightened up.
Remove the motor mount nut on each mount stud that secures the mounts to the frame.
With nuts removed, place a jack under the engine and lift it up to gain needed access to
Install headers. The passenger side header needs to be installed from the top and the
Driverside header from the bottom. If needed the engine can also be shifted to the driverside
to aid in sliding passenger side header in place. With headers held in place with a few
Bolts, lower engine back down and reinstall motor mount nuts. Besure to reinstall dipsti ck
Tube with header on driverside.

BBK recommends using a Hi Temp gasket sealer on the gaskets for
A leak free seal.

Install all header bolts and tighten.
Continue on and reinstall all parts that were removed for installation.
Remove the Oxygen Sensors from your stock H-pipe assembly and install into the provided
Bungs in the collectors.
To gain wire length, remove the harness from the chassis clips.

BBK also sells O2 wire extensions part # 1676.
For a complete bolt in, use BBK’s part # 1509 catted 2.5” or

BBK’s part # 1510 off road 2.5” H-pipe assemblies.
