Power supply connection
Verify if technical data of the appliance (see rating plate) correspond with the
local electric power grid specification.
Connect the appliance to a single, properly grounded mains socket with
protective contact. Do not connect the appliance to a multi-socket.
The power cord should be laid in a way preventing anyone from threading on it
or tripping against it.
Prior to first use, the appliance should be installed and left standing upright for at
least 2 hours, before it is connected to power supply.
If the appliance has not been transported properly (not upright or on its back),
wait at least 4 hours before switching it on.
After a power failure or when the plug is removed from the socket, do not
reconnect the appliance to power supply for at least 5 minutes.

5.2 Operation

Indications for the User
ATTENTION! The appliance must not be used as a standard refrigeration appliance. Do not put food with temperature exceeding 70°C into the appliance, as
this may trigger the high pressure alarm.
In order to use the appliance optimally, run the entire operating cycle (fast
cooling or freezing) before putting food inside, at least until the storage temperature is reached, to avoid damage to the appliance.
Do not leave hot food in the appliance without starting the operating cycle. As
soon as food is placed in the appliance, immediately start the corresponding operating cycle.
Avoid covering used containers with, for example, aluminium foil. If the surface
is possibly free and not covered, better performance and reduced time can be achieved.
Do not overload the appliance; observe the specified values for the operating
cycles:
fast cooling: 16 kg freezing: 10 kg
To allow better air circulation, leave sufficient space between placed containers.
Installation and operation
14 / 28 700605
EN
Especially if a container is hot, place it on the provided rack; never place it
directly on the bottom.
ATTENTION! Ensure that the drip tray for the defrosting water is placed underneath the
appliance. Empty it regularly.
Take into account that operating cycles start from an average temperature of
+70°C (cooling cycle from +70°C to +3°C; freezing cycle from +70°C to -18 °C), so bear in mind that:
– food to be treated must not be stored at room temperature for too long:
the more moisture the product loses, the less gentle preservation will be possible;
– temperature of the food to be placed in the shock freezer may not
exceed +70°C.
Appliance Preparation
1. Before first use, clean the appliance and its accessories observing instructions
in section 6 'Cleaning'.
2. To end with, dry the appliance and accessories thoroughly.
3. Close the appliance door.
4. Plug the appliance into a suitable single socket.

Core temperature sensor error Solutions:
– as in the case of the cell sensor error ("Pr1" code), but with
regard to the core temperature sensor Possible outcomes: – if the error occurs in the "Stand-by" state, temperature-controlled
operating cycles are started in a time-controlled manner
– if the error occurs during fast cooling in temperature mode, cooling
must be stopped for the time set with r1 parameter
– if the fault occurs during freezing in temperature mode, freezing
must be stopped for the time set with r2 parameter
– if the error occurs during heating of the core temperature sensor,
heating is interrupted
Pr3
Evaporator probe error
Possible Malfunctions

EN
Solutions:
– as in the case of the cell sensor error ("Pr1" code), but with
regard to the evaporator sensor Possible outcomes: – if P4 parameter is set to 1, the defrost continues for the time set in
d3 parameter
if F0 parameter is set to 1, F16 parameter has no effect if F4 parameter is set to 1, the appliance operates as if F4
parameter was set to 2
Pr4
Condenser probe error Solutions:
– as in the case of the cell sensor error ("Pr1" code), but with
regard to the condenser sensor Possible outcomes:
the condenser fan should run in parallel with the compressor condenser overheat alarm ("COH" code) is never activated compressor lockout alarm ("CSd" code) is never activated
rtc
Clock error (only in EVX812 and EVX815 models) Solutions:
– set the day and actual time from scratch Possible outcomes: – the appliance does not record the date and time of the HACCP
alarm or its duration
Possible Malfunctions

Alarms and Prompts
Alarm
Code
Description
Solution
Time
Alarm in case of incomplete fast cooling or freezing process in temperature mode during maximum duration (HACCP alarm)
Check the value of r5, r6 and AA parameters Possible outcomes: – the appliance will record the alarm
AL
Alarm at minimum temperature
Check cell temperature Check A1 and A2 parameters Possible outcomes: – the appliance will continue to operate
normally
AH
Highest temperature alarm (HACCP alarm)
Check cell temperature Check A4 and A5 parameters Possible outcomes: – the appliance will record the alarm
id
Alarm with open door
Check door status Check i0 and i1 parameters Possible outcomes: – effect specified by i0 parameter
HP
High pressure alarm
Check condition of high pressure inlet Check the value of i5 and i6 parameters Possible outcomes: – effect specified by i5 parameter
PF
Power failure alarm
Check the connection of the appliance to the power supply
Check the value of A10 parameter Possible outcomes: – the appliance will record the alarm
COH
Overheated condenser alarm
Check the temperature of the condenser Check the value of C6 parameter Possible outcomes: – condenser fan is on
Possible Malfunctions

Error Description
Solution
CSd
Compressor locked alarm
Check the temperature of the condenser Check the value of C7 parameter Disconnect the appliance from the electrical
supply and clean the condenser Possible outcomes: – if the error occurs only in the "Stand-by"
state, neither selection nor start of any operating cycle is allowed
– if the error occurs during a duty cycle, the
cycle is aborted
ESt
Alarm: download of configuration parameters not successfully completed
Press and release to restore normal visualisation
Download the configuration parameters again Possible outcomes: – the appliance will continue to operate
normally
CEr
Firmware alarm of the configuration parameters contained in EVKEY is not counterpart of the appliance parameters
Disconnect the appliance from the power supply Check that the firmware of the configuration
parameters contained in EVKEY is a counterpart of the appliance software
Download the configuration parameters again Possible outcomes: – the appliance will continue to operate
normally
Erd
Alarm: transfer of configuration parameters not successfully completed
Restore factory settings Resend the configuration parameters Possible outcomes: – digital outputs are deactivated

Electrical Appliance
Electric appliances are marked with this symbol. Electrical appliances must be disposed of and recycled in a correct and environmentally friendly manner. You must not dispose of electric appliances with household waste. Disconnect the appliance from the power supply and remove power cord from the appliance.
Electrical appliances should be returned to designated collection points.
Coolant
The propellant used in the appliance is flammable. It should be utilised pursuant to national regulations in force.
