Replacinganti-condensate heater element

aroundaoorcapof hingedwalk-indoorpanel

1)Disconnectthe 120voltoutsidepowersourceleadingto the door-

framelightjunctionbox. .

2)Removedoorcapfromdoorframeusingthe followingsteps:
A)Disconnectcrossovercordat lightjunctionbox. - -

B)Removescrewsthatmountthehingesto thedoorframe

(Makesurethereis enoughpersonnelto handledoorcap)

C)Disengagethe doorcapfrom doorlatchandremovedoor

fromdoorframeandlayon flat workingsurfaceface down.

D)Alarge

closeof theopendoorwayuntrlthe doorcapis remounted.

3) Removestainlesssteelcapslocatedat eachcornerof the door~ap

bycarefullypryingoff witha commonscrewdriver(seeillustration).

Thesecapsarelocatedat the topandbottomedgesof doorcap.

4) Pullcrossovercordandold healerelementwiresthruholeand

disconnecttherespectivewiresplices. I

5) Pullupgasketfromcornersof doorcap andclearputtyfromchannel.

Connectoldheaterelementendwithnewheaterelementand begin
pullingthrufrom oppositecornerin directionshown.(seeillustrafion).

6)Afternewheaterelementis in place;'makesplicesto crossovercord.

PULL UP GASKETAT ALL
FOURCORNERSAND ClEAR
PUnY FROMHEATERELEMENT

7) Makesurethe heaterelementends(at splice)do nottouch.Pockwith

permagumbeforereplacingcaps.

8)Aligndoorcap in doorframewithshimsand replacehingemounting
screws.Reconnectcrossovercordto light junctionbox.

9)Reconnectthe 120voltsourceto lightjunctionbox.

10)Checkdoorfor properoperationandseal.
