Safety instructions



Danger!

Ensure that liquids cannot permeate into the glass
scale or into the display. There is a risk of electric shock!
This appliance is not intended for use by individuals
(including children) with restricted physical, physio­logical or intellectual abilities or deficiences in
experience and/or knowledge unless they are
supervised by a person responsible for their safety
or receive from this person instruction in how the
appliance is to be used. Children should be supervised
to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

• Regularly check the condition of the batteries.
Leaking batteries can cause damage to the
appliance.

• Remove the battery if you do not intend to use
the appliance over an extended period.

• In the event of the batteries leaking acids, wear
protective gloves.

• Clean the battery compartment and the battery
contacts with a dry cloth.

• Keep batteries away from children. Children can
put batteries into their mouths and swallow them.
If a battery is swallowed, medical assistance must
be sought IMMEDIATELY.



Notice!

Avoid electrostatic charging and discharging.
These can cause erroneous displays and/or the
sudden deactivation of the scale.



Warning!

Do not place the glass scale in close vicinity to sources
of heat. The scale and the display may only be
operated at temperatures between 10° and 40°C.
Higher or lower temperatures can lead to malfunctions
or to permanent damage.
Never burden these scale with a weight of more
than 150 kg / 330 lb!
This could irreparably damage the scale.



Information regarding interaction
with batteries

This appliance utilises a battery. Regarding your
interaction with batteries, please observe the following:

Risk of explosion!

Do not throw batteries into a fire. Do not recharge
the batteries.

• Never open batteries, never solder or weld batteries.
The risk of explosions and injuries exists!

For damage caused by...

• opening of the scale housing,

• repairs attempted by non-qualified personnel and

• improper usage of the scale
...no liability/warranty will be accepted by the
manufacturer! .

Description of the appliance

Taking the scale into use

1. Open the battery compartment rby sliding the

cover in the direction of the arrow and then
removing it. Remove the insulation tape from the
battery compartment
into the battery compartment
observe the correct polarity.

2. Slide the cover back on to the battery com-

partment

Intended Use

This digital glass scale is intended exclusively for use

• as a personal weighing scale

• in a domestic environment.

Operating instructions

Before using the appliance for the first time, check to
ensure that the items are complete and undamaged.

3. Set the desired unit of weight (kg or lb) by

pressing the selector switch w.

• Place the scale on a flat and firm surface.

Ensure that neither the floor at the location of the
scale nor the upper surface of the scale are wet,
otherwise there is a risk of slipping!



Notice!

This glass scale contains sensitive electronic components
and it should therefore NOT be located:

• close to sources of heat

• in environments with extreme air humidity.

Weighing



Important:

NEVER burden the scale one-sidedly. ALWAYS step
onto the scale in the middle and with both feet.
Otherwise, the scale could tip and become irreparably
damaged. Additionally, there is the risk of falling over!

Important:

Never use the scale if it is wet or moist. Never step
onto the scale with wet or moist feet. There would
be a serious risk of slipping and personal injury!



Important:

NEVER jump onto the glass scale, this could irreparably
damage it.

1. Tap with your foot in the middle of the glass scales
until the indicator "8888" appears in the display

2. As soon as the indicator changes and "0.0" appears
in the display q, step onto the glass scale with
both feet. Stand as still as possible and without
displacing your weight.

Should the display qindicate "Err", the scale is not
able to measure your weight. In this case, step down
from the scale, wait a few seconds and then try again.
Take note that you need to both stand still and not
interrupt the weighing procedure.

Replacing the batteries

1. Open the battery compartment rby sliding the
cover in the direction of the arrow and then
removing it.

3. During the weighing process, the indicated
weight increases until your personal weight is
shown.

4. When your personal weight has been determined,
the result blinks twice in the display

Warning indicators

Should your weight exceed the maximum weighing
capacity of 150 kg / 330 lb, "0 - Ld" is shown in
the display
from the scale, otherwise it could be damaged.

When "L0" appears in the display qyou must
replace the batteries.

2. Slide the old battery out of the battery com­partment

3. Slide in a new battery of the type CR 2032, as
per the polarity details marked on the cover of
the battery compartment

4. Slide the cover back on to the battery com­partment runtil it firmly engages.

Usage and safe-keeping

• Take note that the weighing results from different
glass scales can vary slightly from each other.

• Avoid unnecessary battery discharge.
Accordingly, do not place objects on the glass
scale when it is not being used.
Remove the battery if you do not intend to use
the scale for an extended period.

• Keep the glass scale at a clean and dry location.

• Avoid electrostatic charging.

• Your glass scale is a sensitive electronic appliance.
As such, it can occasionally be disturbed by other
high-frequency devices that are being operated
in the immediate vicinity (e.g. mobile telephones,
CB radio stations, radio remote controls and
microwave ovens).

Perform a reset on the scale:

• For this, remove the old battery from the battery
compartment

• Wait a few seconds, then insert the battery back
into the battery compartment

Clean your glass scale exclusively with a neutral
detergent and a soft cloth.

Non-functionality



Warning of potential appliance
damage:

Do not attempt to dismantle the appliance or to carry
out repairs yourself. You could potentially damage
the sensitive electronic components.
Repairs to your appliance may only be carried out
by qualified service personnel!

No liability will be accepted for damage resulting
from improper use and/or the opening of the
appliance!

In the event of faulty operation or if the display is
incorrect, please check the following conditions:

• Has the battery been inserted into the battery
compartment

with the correct polarity?

If these measures do not correct the problem, please
contact the appropriate service partner for your country.

Disposal

Do not dispose of the appliance in your
normal domestic waste. This product is
subject to the provisions of European
Directive 2002/96/EC.

Dispose of the appliance through an approved
disposal centre or at your community waste facility.
Observe the currently applicable regulations.
In case of doubt, please contact your waste disposal
centre.

Disposal of batteries/accumulators

Used batteries/rechargeable batteries may not be
disposed of in household waste. Every consumer is
statutorily obliged to dispose of batteries at a collection
site of his community/city district or at a retail store.
The purpose of this obligation is to ensure that batteries
are disposed of in a non-polluting manner. Only
dispose of batteries when they are fully discharged.

Dispose of the packaging materials in an

environmentally responsible manner.

Warranty and Service

Importer

You receive a 3-year warranty for this appliance as
of the purchase date. The appliance has been
manufactured with care and meticulously examined
before delivery. Please retain your receipt as proof
of purchase. In the case of a warranty claim, please
make contact by telephone with our service depart­ment. Only in this way can a post-free despatch
for your goods be assured.
The warranty covers only claims for material and
maufacturing defects, not for worn parts or for damage
to fragile components, e.g. buttons or batteries.
This product is for private use only and is not intended
for commercial use.
The warranty is void in the case of abusive and
improper handling, use of force and internal modi­fications not carried out by our authorized Service
Centre. Your statutory rights are not restricted in any
way by this warranty.

Turvaohjeet



Vaara!

Varmista, ettei lasivaakaan ja näyttöön pääse mitään
nesteitä. On olemassa sähköiskun vaara!
Tätä laitetta ei ole tarkoitettu sellaisten henkilöiden
(mukaan lukien lapset) käyttöön, joiden rajoitetut,
fyysiset, aistilliset tai henkiset kyvyt tai kokemuksen
ja/tai tiedon puute estävät käytön, lukuun ottamatta
tilanteita, joissa heitä valvoo turvallisuudesta vastaava
henkilö tai joissa he ovat saaneet tältä ohjeita laitteen
käytöstä. Lapsia on valvottava ja varmistettava,
etteivät he leiki laitteella.



Varoitus!

Älä aseta lasivaakaa lämpölähteiden välittömään
läheisyyteen. Lasivaakaa ja näyttöä saa käyttää
vain 10 - 40 °C:n lämpötiloissa. Korkeammissa tai
matalammissa lämpötiloissa saattaa esiintyä
virhetoimintoja tai syntyä pysyvä vaurio.
Älä kuormita lasivaakaa yli 150 kg:n / 330 lb:n
painolla!
Muutoin lasivaaka saattaa vaurioitua pysyvästi.



Ohjeita paristojen käsittelyyn

Laitteessa on paristo. Huomaa paristojen käsittelystä
seuraavaa:

Räjähdysvaara!!

Älä heitä paristoja tuleen. Älä lataa paristoja uudelleen.

• Älä koskaan avaa paristoja, älä koskaan juota
tai hitsaa paristoja. On olemassa räjähdyksen ja
loukkaantumisen vaara!

• Tarkasta paristot säännöllisesti. Vuotavat paristot
saattavat vahingoittaa laitetta.

• Jos et käytä laitetta pidempään, poista paristot.

• Käytä suojakäsineitä paristojen vuotaessa.

• Puhdista paristokotelo ja paristoliitännät kuivalla
liinalla.

• Paristoja ei saa jättää lasten ulottuville.
Lapset saattavat pistää paristot suuhunsa ja niellä ne.
Jos paristo on joutunut nieluun, on hakeuduttava
välittömästi lääkärin hoitoon.



Ohje!

Vältä sähköstaattista latausta tai purkauksia.
Muussa tapauksessa saattaa seurauksena olla
virheellisiä tuloksia tai lasivaa'an äkillinen sammuminen.

Emme vastaa vahingoista, joiden syynä on ...

• lasivaa'an kotelon avaaminen

• muiden kuin pätevien ammattihenkilöiden suoritamat
korjaustyöt

• lasivaa'an tarkoituksenvastainen käyttö,

vaurioiden varalta.

Käyttöönotto

1. Avaa paristokotelon kansi rtyöntämällä kantta
nuolen suuntaan ja irrottamalla kansi.
Poista eristysnauha paristokotelosta
paristot niiden napaisuutta vastaavasti takaisin
paristokoteloon

2. Työnnä paristokotelon kansi paristokotelolle
kunnes se lukittuu paikoilleen.

Huomio:

Älä koskaan kuormita lasivaakaa toispuoleisesti.
Astu lasivaa'alle aina molemmilla jaloilla. Muutoin
lasivaaka saattaa kaatua sivulle ja vaurioitua pysyvästi.
Lisäksi on olemassa kaatumisvaara!



Huomio:

Älä koskaan käytä lasivaakaa sen ollessa märkä tai
kostea. Älä koskaan astu lasivaa'alle märillä tai
kosteilla jaloilla. On olemassa liukastumisvaara ja
kaatumisvaara!



Huomio:

Älä koskaan hyppää lasivaa'alle, se voi muuten
vaurioitua.

1. Kosketa jalalla lasivaa'an keskelle, kunnes
näytössä

2. Heti, kun näyttö vaihtuu ja näytössä
asetu molemmilla jaloilla lasivaa'alle. Seiso tällöin
mahdollisimman paikallaan äläkä siirrä painoasi
jalalta toiselle.

3. Punnitustapahtuman aikana näytetty arvo nousee,

• Aseta lasivaakasi tasaiselle, kiinteälle alustalle.
Varmista, että sekä lasivaa'an pystytyspaikan
alusta että lasivaa'an pinta ovat kuivia, muutoin
on olemassa liukastumisvaara!

Varoitukset

Käyttö ja säilytys

• Huomaa, että erilaisten lasivaakojen mittaus­tulokset saattavat poiketa hieman toisistaan.

Jos paino ylittää 150 kg:n / 330 lb:n suurimman
painokapasiteetin, näytössä
Astu välittömästi lasivaa'alta, se voi muuten vaurioitua.

Jos näytössä qnäkyy "L0", paristo on vaihdettava
uuteen.

Jos näytössä qnäkyy "Err", lasivaaka ei voi mitata
painoa. Astu tässä tapauksessa lasivaa'alta, odota
muutamia sekunteja ja yritä uudelleen. Varmista, että
seisot rauhallisesti paikoillasi etkä keskeytä
punnitustapahtumaa.

Paristojen uusiminen

1. Avaa paristokotelon kansi rtyöntämällä kantta
nuolen suuntaan ja irrottamalla kansi.

2. Työnnä vanha paristo paristokotelosta r.

• Vältä paristojen latauksen tarpeetonta purkamista.
Älä siksi varastoi lasivaa'alle mitään esineitä, jos
sitä ei käytetä.
Poista paristo, jos lasivaakaa ei käytetä pidemmän
aikaa.

• Säilytä lasivaaka kuivassa ja puhtaassa paikassa.

• Vältä sähköstaattista latausta.

• Lasivaakasi on herkkä elektroninen laite.
Sellaisena se saattaa ajoittain häiriintyä lähellä
käytettävistä korkeataajuuslaitteista (esim.
matkapuhelimet, CB-lähettimet, radiokauko­ohjaimet ja mikroaaltouunit).

Jos näytössä
öllisiä tai viallisia näyttöjä, poista lasivaaka
häiriölähteen lähettyviltä tai kytke häiriölähde
pois päältä tuotetta käyttäessäsi.

Puhdistus

Puhdista lasivaakasi ainoastaan neutraaleilla
puhdistusaineilla ja pehmeällä liinalla.

3. Työnnä uusi tyypin CR 2032 paristo paristo­koteloon rsen kannessa olevan napaisuuden mu­kaisesti, kunnes paristo on tiiviisti paikoillaan.

4. Työnnä paristokotelon kansi paristokotelolle r,
kunnes se lukittuu paikoilleen.
