l
Use only USB hubs that feature AC power adapter.
l
Do not strike, drop or other wise impact the USB Floppy Disk Drive.
l
You can plug the USB cable into a USB port while the computer is turned on.
l
Before you disconnect the cable from the USB port, remove the floppy disk from the drive
Windows PC Installation
Follow these steps to connect the USB Floppy Disk Drive to your Windows computer and install the driver software
For Windows 98
1. Turn on your PC.
2. Plug the USB Floppy Disk Drive cable in to a USB port of your PC. The System will automatically detect the
drive and display the Add New Hardware Wizard.
3. Click the "Next" Button.
4. Click the "Search for the best drivers for your device
(Recommended)", then click the "Next" button.
5. Insert the USB Floppy Device Driver CD into the PC's CD-ROM drive.
6. Click to specify a location "D:\USBFDD\WlN98" as the
location of the driver software, then click the "Next"
button. D: is the Drive letter of your PC CD-ROM which
contains the device driver CD disk.
7. Windows will note you that Windows is ready to install
driver, click the "Next" button to continue.
8. Click the "Finish" button to finish Floppy Driver
installation.
9. A floppy icon will then appear in the "My Computer" folder after the device has been installed.
For Windows 2000
1. Turn on your PC.
2. Plug the USB Floppy Disk Drive cable in to a USB port on your PC. The System will automatically detect the
drive and display the "Found New Hardware Wizard"
3. Click the "Next" Button.
4. Click the "Search for the best drivers for a suitable
driver for my device.(Recommended)", then click the
"Next" button.
