Windows PC Installation
Follow these steps to connect the USB Floppy Disk Drive to your Windows computer and install the driver software
For Windows 98
1. Turn on your PC.
2. Plug the USB Floppy Disk Drive cable in to a USB port of your PC. The System will automatically detect the
drive and display the Add New Hardware Wizard.
3. Click the "Next" Button.
4. Click the "Search for the best drivers for your device
(Recommended)", then click the "Next" button.
5. Insert the USB Floppy Device Driver CD into the PC's CD-ROM drive.
6. Click to specify a location "D:\USBFDD\WlN98" as the
location of the driver software, then click the "Next"
button. D: is the Drive letter of your PC CD-ROM which
contains the device driver CD disk.
7. Windows will note you that Windows is ready to install
driver, click the "Next" button to continue.
8. Click the "Finish" button to finish Floppy Driver
installation.
9. A floppy icon will then appear in the "My Computer" folder after the device has been installed.
For Windows 2000
1.Turn on your PC.
2.Plug the USB Floppy Disk Drive cable in to a USB port on your PC. The System will automatically detect the
drive and display the "Found New Hardware Wizard"
3.Click the "Next" Button.
4.Click the "Search for the best drivers for a suitable
driver for my device.(Recommended)", then click the
"Next" button.
5.Insert the USB Floppy Device Driver CD into the PC's CD-ROM drive.
6.Click to "Specify a location" and click the "Next"
button. "D:\WIN98" as the location of the driver
software, then click the "Next" button, D: is the drive
letter of your PC's
7."D:\USBFDD\ WIN2K' as the location of the driver
software, then click the "OK" button. D: is the drive
letter of your PC's CD-ROM which contains the device
driver CD disk.
8.Windows will note you that Windows is ready to
install driver, Click the "Next" button to continue.
9.Windows will note you that Windows has finished
installing the software for USB floppy drive, Click the
“Finish" button to close this wizard.
10. A floppy icon will then appear in the "My Computer" folder, after finishing install the device drive.
For Windows Millennium
1. Turn on your PC
2. Plug the USB Floppy Disk Drive cable in to a USB Port of your PC. The System will automatically detect the
drive and display the "Found New Hardware Wizard".
3. Click the "Next" Button.
4. Click the "Search for the best drivers for your device.
(Recommended)"
5. Select the specify a location, and type "D:\USBFDD\WIN2K" as the location of the driver software, then click at

For Macintosh Computer
1. Mac OS 8.6 Using the USB floppy with Mac OS 8.6 you need to update the Mass Storage Device Support driver,
Version 1.3.5 from http://www.apple.com/. For more information please read the MACUSER.HTM in the folder
of Mac of USB Floppy Disk Driver CD.
2. Mac OS9 or Later At Mac OS9, do not need to install any driver. The required driver is already embedded within
the Mac OS.
3. Ejecting Floppy Disks (Macintosh Only) Click the floppy disk icon one to highlight the icon Select "Eject" from
the "Special" menu, or "Put Away" from the "File" menu. (Alternatively, you can drag the floppy disk icon to the
Trash) Wait for the status indicator light on the front panel of the USB Floppy Disk drive to turn off. Push the
eject button on the front panel of the USB Floppy Disk Drive to eject the floppy disk.
4. Remounting un-mounted volumes To mount or remount a USB Mass storage volume on the Desktop, disconnect
and reconnect the device that contains the the volume into a USB port on the computer, or into a hub attached to
the computer. The volume should appear on the desktop in a few seconds. If the device uses removable media, the
volume will not appear until the removable media is reinserted into the Mass storage device.
