Axis Panorama PTZ Specifications

An out-of-the-box, ready-to-use PTZ video
solution
Plugs directly to IP networks
Delivers live streaming video at up to 15
frames/second per camera
Renders two live video streams into a
simulated panoramic image
standard JPEG format
Support for continuous or alarm/event based
recording
Comprising of two network cameras, strategically positioned together at a fixed preset angle, this kit is all that is needed for the panoramic surveillance of entire retail stores, banks, transport areas, offices, or any other critical areas where good remote video monitoring is essential.
Offering a fixed, panoramic field of view, the AXIS Panorama PTZ kit provides a Web interface that allows you to remotely pan, tilt, or zoom in, live, within any area of the panoramic image. Using a standard Web browser, multiple users can independently view different parts of the panorama, simultaneously. And, because the AXIS Panorama always streams video in an un-rendered format, users can always view the recorded images of something they were not previously looking at in real time. So, if you do happen to miss a live incident... you can always look at it later. Now, you needn’t miss anything!

4 levels of compression are available. The file
size of a JPEG compressed image depends on the actual content of the image. Images containing a lot of detail will generate larger files. Image quality is controlled through the level of compression. High compression yields smaller files at the expense of image quality, while low compression results in larger files, but maintains image quality. The table below shows average file sizes, derived from real life tests
JPEG still images and Motion-JPEG video
High-speed hardware-based image compression,
generating high quality JPEG images
Bandwidth control prevents data saturation on
